I've loved Found since their previous location, also in Kerrytown, but a fraction of the current…read moreshop. Now they've expanded in there and they've filled the space with even more beautifully curated goodies, new and "found." There's a bit of everything in here, perfect for finding a gift for a friend, family, or a partner, or a little goodie for yourself. They've got beautiful art prints from independent artists, handmade ceramics, plus stationery, a bangin' candle section, lovely housewares and textiles like throws, pillows, and tea towels, plus jewelry, the list goes on and on. Plus when you shop here you're really shopping small, because most of what they carry falls into that category. If you go to their website you can take a look at a list of the artists they carry in store, and I love recognizing names of friends and people I admire in their respective fields. It's a delight digging through all their offerings and I highly recommend you get there soon to do it yourself!

Then, after hitting up the 2nd floor, I spied plants and headed down the stairs. Loving that we found "Found." I walked out with a gift and a little something for myself, but definitely had to stop myself from getting more. They had a lovely selection of watercolor supplies, notebooks, stickers, art, unique science-y things, and so much more. Prices were pretty average, but they had some awesome sale stuff from the recent holiday. The Staff were around and being helpful. The lady told me a story about the art piece I purchased, which I appreciated. This store is probably my favorite stop from all of Kerrytown!

No matter the time of year I love visiting Downtown Home & Garden. My previous review stated, "I love any store where I can get tulip bulbs, a new bird house, a winter hat shaped like a Christmas tree, a new cookie sheet and a loaf of Zingerman's bread" and all that still rings true. But these days I also add national parks merch, gear for my dogs, holiday decor, kitchen gadgets and cookbooks and, perhaps most exciting for a Polish broad like myself, a variety of Polish pottery pieces. In the spring and summer months I can be found perusing peony bulbs for my garden, hummingbird feeders, bird seed and squirrel proof bird feeders, planters, plants/starters for my veggie garden, pest control and fertilizers, plus a variety of lawn decor and sculpture pieces, etc. Some things can be kind of pricey but you truly get what you pay for. Even after years out in the elements everything I've bought for my yard here is still in amazing condition, my plants from here always yield the most delicious fruits and veggies, and the little birdies are so happy with the snacks we provide them from their bins.

In general I do think I…read morelike the Wixom store better but the Ypsi location is closer to me so I have to roll with it. Like the Wixom location this store is HUGE and the sheer volume of what they offer is mind boggling. Seasonal decor, kitchenware, serving ware, organizing bins, storage, faux plants....SO MUCH! There are several aisles, like a dedicated section of the store, just for wall decor/art. And there's a huge rug section organized by the primary color scheme. AND LAMPS!! So many lamps!! An aisle of curtain rods! I could go on. But basically anything you could want that would be for your home you can find here. I love coming here in the summer to find garden decor like lawn stakes, planters, and decor like solar lawn gnomes and the like. They also have a great selection of umbrellas and cushions for outdoor furniture. And if you need the furniture frames, they have that too. From sectional couches to single seats, lounge chairs and more. Prices are pretty good, too. It's not the most high end stuff but things I've bought for my yard are going into year 3 now and have held up pretty darn well during the various swings of Michigan weather. All that said, there's just something about this location that doesn't feel as polished as the other ones I've been do. It's always empty, not just of employees on the floor but also shoppers. I often feel like I'm the only one there. Some of the stock is a bit lighter than other stores, (though it still dwarfs other big box stores when it comes to home goods), etc. But overall, it's still my go to when I need containers to organize my pantry, need a new throw rug, or just want to refresh the decor in the house.

Walking in here feels a little like shopping with my dad. My husband and I recently purchased our first house and wanted to get a nice dining table that will last. We were okay splashing out a little more for something we really loved. Their signature cherry extension table here is gorgeous and versatile. It's made to order so takes some time to receive, but just got it delivered recently and we love it! Also came a couple weeks earlier than quoted which was great.

When the…read moreitems arrived, the bed was delivered without the hardware so it was unable to be installed (to note delivery and installation was an extra fee from 3 Chairs). After waiting almost a week for the hardware to arrive (which was supposedly "expedited"), my husband had to go to the hardware store himself and find parts that would work and install it. I asked for some sort of refund since I paid for delivery and installation and was told that this was not possible. The Lee sofa slip cover arrived with what appeared to be a stain on it. I notified them immediately and was told to "take it to the cleaners and I would get the cleaning fee reimbursed". After, wasting time doing all this, I found out that this was a textile imperfection and could not be fixed. I again reached out to the store, and was told to "bring it in and that they would send it back and I eventually would receive a replacement", instead of trying to fix the problem and just sending me a new one immediately once notified of this issue. Then, to place the cherry on the top, the custom Lee accent chair that I also purchased came with the wrong fill, which I paid extra for. At least, Lee was able to send me the correct one (after almost a month after receiving all the furniture). After many discussions, I asked for some sort of reimbursement for the defective slip cover for the couch, installation and hardware I had to purchase and completed myself, as well as the time wasted going back and forth to the cleaners to find out it was a textile error and the only way this was to be replaced was if I took it to the store and waited weeks for a new one. NOTHING was offered from 3 Chairs or Lee (as per 3 Chairs since I cannot speak to Lee directly), leaving a very nasty taste in my mouth, especially after spending more than $12,000 on furniture at Three Chairs, which I though was a high end, reputable store. I will never buy anything from there again.

I have had them in France and Mexico, and they are so good with butter and jam dunked in some hot coffee. You would think they would be easy to find, but it took me several stores to finally get them. I wish this place had Weetabix, but they no longer carry it, and due to the viral trend, they are sold out all over. I loved the variety of interesting foods. I would come back for some of the candy and other food items. They also have some interesting home good items for sale, like a yakatori grill, couches, etc... The people working here were extremely friendly and chipper. The only issue I have is that their prices are higher than most places that sell the same products, so I would not come here for items like Buldak noodles unless you really cannot find them elsewhere. I would like to come back with the kids.
