Dr. Potter is my go-to chiropractor in the San Diego area. I've been going to him for years and he has provided me with relief, especially when I was in severe pain and could barely walk. A recent example: three days ago my sciatica flared up on one side and the pain was excruciating. I went to see Dr. Potter and he was able to get me right in. He knew just what to do, and I walked out of the office feeling better than when I walked in. I went home, followed his instructions, and the next morning I was 50% better. I continued to follow his advice for home care that day, and by the next day I was feeling great, like 90% pain-free. Today, I went in for a minor "tune-up" on the problem area and left the office feeling wonderful--not just physically, but mentally, too. When I was leaving his office today, several young student athletes were coming in, and like me, Dr. Potter greeted them with a smile and brought them right in. As I walked out the front door, an elderly woman was walking slowly toward me, obviously in pain. Dr Potter is a talented, smart chiropractor. My MD's at Scripps were slow diagnosing and treating numbness in my feet. Dr. Potter got right into taking x-rays of my spine and found just the spot causing the problem. It has been 3 months of treatment and I am about half way there. It has been 4 years of Dr's saying they cant find the cause. Since my insurance does not cover chiropractic care, he has affordable package plans for 6 visits. I was skeptical when a colleague first recommended him, but I am so thankful that I gave him a chance. I have had chronic and often unbearable back pain for decades, ever since being diagnosed in jr. high school with mild scoliosis. I was extremely anxious and nervous before my first visit to Dr. Potter. I had never been to a Chiropractor. I was in a great deal of back pain that had occurred suddenly and was scared I would be hunched over in pain for the rest of my life. I am SO glad I decided to see Dr. Potter. He is a compassionate and committed doctor. He took the time to listen to all of my concerns. His manner is soothing and calming, and he explained everything that he would be doing before he did it and the reason for it. I've seen Dr. Potter for about six years while I lived in Imperial Beach. Since then, I've moved to North County and while I found someone who treated me ok, I wasn't thrilled with the results. This week I found myself calling him for an adjustment since my entire body was in major pain. Dr. Potter is a traditional chiropractor who takes the time to listen, and treat the entire skeletal system, taking into account any soft tissue issues. He uses infrared therapy to reduce muscular inflammation when necessary. My left leg was popped out of the hip socket, throwing my entire foundation off, putting pressure on my lower lumbar, middle back and more. Thank goodness he was able to adjust me, and I'm writing this within thirty minutes post-treatment, clear-headed and pain free.
