Service from the host, servers, and bussers went above and beyond. Honestly, couldn't remember what was ordered, but we ordered more than enough. Every dish was delicious and the wagyu and fish quality was great. The drinks were also strong but delicious. I believe I order the Love Spell twice. The price reflects the location, crowd and quality so we weren't too shocked at the bill. Will definitely be back!

As such, it was extremely noisy and you could see that couples on dates had a hard time even talking to one another, and eventually just stopped. I could barely hear my wife talking next to me. Most of the servers would even have to lean in to hear the orders. As for the food, nothing really stood out. We ordered a large variety as we were a group of 10 eating family style and nothing really stood out. The quality of the food I would say was akin to fast food or mall food court level, but you're paying 3 times as much. The price belied the food quality. For example, 3 small pieces of ribs as an appetizer for more than $30, I'd expect it to be uniquely spiced, flavorful and juicy, but it was rather dry and tasted as like sauce from Panda Express. Their Wagyu beef carpaccio had too many strong flavors so the taste of the beef itself was lost. Heck, it didn't even really have the notable creamy-like texture that wagyu was supposed to have either (likely a lower grade of wagyu, probably somewhere between USDA Choice and Prime). A lot of their items feel gimmicky too: the unagi clay pot came with some seaweed, a seaweed holder, and two small bottles of sauces. The sauces were bland and contributed nothing to the dish. Making your own "hand rolls" with the seaweed did nothing for this dish other than get your hands dirty. I've watched enough Iron Chef back in the day to understand that this is very Morimoto, as he tries to make the dishes fun. The unagi itself was quite nice, though it might be my personal bias. The Halibut we got was overcooked and dry. Yes halibut is a firmer meat, but man this was hard to eat. The best dish was likely the Ishiyaki Buri Bop, which came with some tables idea theatrics. Nevertheless, for the price, you could do much better at a place like Kunjip Tofu in the bay. Overall, a bad experience. Based on the price point, I thought we'd be getting better food and better ambience, but it was overall mediocre - a blemish on the Morimoto name.

We got pork rice and egg tomato, which allowed us to have more protein in our bento. They also separate the noodles from the soup when you order takeout, which helps prevent them from being overcooked! Service: nice service, sounds really busy in the kitchen. Ambiance: they have a couple tables but it seems like this place is more takeout forward.

There was a sign that says to take the QR Code to put in my order. I stood there by the counter thinking ok someone will come eventually. A man came to counter and greeted hello and next thing you know it he walked to the back of the restaurant where the kitchen was. I scratched my head thinking, OK I GUESS THEY WERENT KIDDING about ordering through their QR CODE. I had to turn off my WIFI on my phone because XFINITY WAS interfering with my browser access. I'm stepped outside in front of their restaurant and ordered. I ordered their bento with a garlic sausage and a beef soup. What's bad is by waiting in their showroom dining area, I was never given a receipt to confirm if I put in my order. I'm not even sure if it went through. My card confirmed they took my money. So I guess it went through. Their QR code app doesn't even have a way to tell me if I made the order or not. Checked my email and still no receipt. My food was ready in 5 mins. On my way out as the young man handed me my package, I asked him "is this how people normally pay by QR CODE?" He answered with a hesitant tone, "Yes " I replied, "ok just checking." The Garlic Sausage reminded me of the Filipino Garlic longaniza. Slightly different. Maybe it's lighter but it tasted good. There was steamed cabbage and garlic seaweed. Pretty good. I think the food reminds me of home style cooking.

On top of that, we were all craving some good Chinese food. Wah Sing never disappoints. Our party of nine ordered entree after entree and it was a parade of delicious dishes. We were all starving by the time everyone got settled in (which took a while) and thank goodness the service was quick. A tip of the cap to our server who had to answer so many questions from some in our group. That being said, everything was hot and generous. Everyone got their fill and commented on how good it was. Wah Sing is definitely a family favorite. I will leave it at that and let the pictures speak for themselves.

They couldn't get my order right and hate their customers SO Much, they blocked my phone number. After a year of boycotting them, I tried one more time, and called in to ask nicely if they could "Please add soy sauce and Hot Mustard" to my order. They LITERALLY gave me the absolute smallest plastic container of Hot Mustard that was only big enough for 1 prawn. I called the restaurant, and they hung up on me. I will NEVER order from this over priced junk food spot again in my life.

I wanted to showcase my Taiwanese heritage for the dinner and was excited that Mama Lee's was available to cater. It was hard to decide from the variety of their catering menu because so much of it reminded me of my childhood favorites. I ordered the following, and of course it was way too much, but folks were excited to take home leftovers: - Popcorn Chicken - Pork chop egg fried rice - Chicken cutlet egg fried rice - Qua Bao - Veggie Chow Mein - Crispy Fried Tofu Sticks (with garlic dipping sauce and pickled cabbage) - Seasonal Veggie & Mushroom The popcorn chicken, egg fried rice, and veggie chow mein was the kids' favorites, along with the winter melon lemon tea, which David and Marysa threw in for being their first customer in Pleasant Hill. The adults enjoyed everything that was offered, and were excited to try many new dishes for the first time. Overall, the flavors were reminiscent of my memories of eating in Taiwan, and that was a huge plus! Communication was easy, and the day of the event, they sent pics of the food. Not only did they include delivery over $350, the food was brought in piping hot & they helped set up the food. I am excited to work with David and Marysa again for next year's dinner, and I would highly recommend Mama Lee's catering for your next event!!
