We used The Tax Return to do our 2017 taxes last year and they LOST all of our paperwork for…read moreseveral months. Then they finally found it again and filed our taxes but instead of sending us a copy of our FULL tax return for our records, all we got back from them was the first two pages of our 1040 and only ONE page of the two-page Schedule C. They don't even know how to scan documents correctly. The scan each page as a separate file instead of combining them into one PDF, which is NOT how a professional tax preparer would return electronic copies of your paperwork to you! Obviously, after they lost all of our stuff last year, we are NOT using them to file our taxes this year. But we need last year's complete Schedule C to file our 2018 taxes and have requested that they provide us with that. But now they aren't even responding to our emails. I strongly advise you to stay far, far away from The Tax Return unless you don't care if they lose your stuff and then don't even give you a full copy of your return when they're finished.

The agent I spoke to was beyond unprofessional. She started the call by complaining about how hard her day was, then explained why they're canceling in the most condescending manner repeatedly. As I was asking questions, she kept interjecting about my personal life, insinuating that this was my fault for marrying someone who made a past mistake. I'm sorry, but that is so far past the line. No one has the right to censure me for my life choices, and insult me in the process, let alone my car insurance agent. Unprofessional is too mild a word.
