It is VERY popular and I'm sure being recommended by Bourdain has a lot to do with it. The first time we tried to eat there the wait was over an hour long. We went sometime after 1AM and there was still a decent wait, maybe close to 30 minutes. The place is pretty small and cramped, but that gives it some charm. Somehow that makes the food taste even better. We ordered a little bit of everything and it was all amazing. Chicken, steak, fries, garlic bread, polenta. It was all cooked and seasoned to perfection. Everything we ordered was delicious Service was fair and prices are reasonable. Do yourself a favor and visit Galeto Sat's!

It's a solid restaurant that serves up pretty good chicken. In fact I ate here twice in a week, the first time to try it out and the second time because it was late at night and they are open until 5AM. Both times I was here it was timed right and I didn't have to wait for a table. The employees were accommodating to a tourist like myself who has a limited Portuguese vocabulary. They also have English language menus although I do like to navigate a menu in another language just to see what I can recognize. Both times I had the chicken with the garlic and pepper sauce as well as pão de alho. The chicken was perfect, juicy and very flavorful. And plenty of garlic. The garlic bread was delicious and had plenty of garlic. I love garlic so it was great for me but I can see some people saying it may be too much garlic. Batatas fritas were good as well. There was more I wanted to try but I will definitely be back the next time I am in Rio de Janeiro. This place has been around for decades so it should still be around on my next visit.

Visiting from Miami we felt the trip to Brazil would not be complete without a trip to a steakhouse. Some of the options we actually have back home, so we settled on this one. The steaks are of great quality, cooked perfectly to your specifications and delivered by friendly knowledgeable staff. The sausage sent out before the meal was perhaps my favorite thing, rivaled only by the fried potatoes. The fried potatoes are masterful. It's like they thinly sliced two pieces of potato, stuck them together, and then fried them. So you have two crunchy sides with an air pocket between them. Where have these been all my life??? Don't leave without ordering them. The picanha was as good as we expected. The chorizo is actually a cut of steak here, if he had known Portuguese a bit better we wouldn't have ordered it because we thought it was sausage, but here it's a cut of meat. Delicious anyway. The side of broccoli rice made us feel a bit healthier. Lol.

It's really…read moremore of a steakhouse than a barbecue place, but I wouldn't advise coming here unless you are ready to eat a Fred Flintstone-sized cut of meat. You have the option of going to the counter and picking the cut of meat you want or ordering off the menu and letting them pick for you. I highly recommend ordering from the counter, so you can see what you're in for. I ordered the t-bone steak, and it's the biggest steak I've ever seen in my life that wasn't for two people. I don't even know how I finished a steak that massive. The only thing I'd recommend is that for anyone (like me) who doesn't like anything less than medium, to know what the Portuguese word is for "well done". Medium well got me a medium rare steak. After drinks and sides, our bill came to about R$ 135, which was like $35. Look at the picture of my t-bone (or a picture of my friend's steak which was half of a steak he split with another friend) and tell me where else you can get a brontosaurus steak like that at that price?

They have a selection of Brooklyn beers which is nice if you're tired of Heineken. The fries were pretty crispy which was a nice since it can be harder to find. Their custom BBQ sauce was pretty good and that's probably what makes this burger special. The spicy sauce had a kick to it but not spicy enough for hot sauce lovers. This place is tiny! One big table inside, a few patio tables outside and the smallest of awnings if it rains. There were about 3 ladies who were busing the tables, they did not assist anyone is setting up a table or grabbing chairs and instead kept folding them away the closer it crept to 11pm, their closing time. They were already putting up the roll down doors over the place as they took the last order of the night. No need to stay open a little later since business is good even in the rain. Ps. officina del gelato is opening right next store!

I had the Fifty-Fifty and it was good. Had a bacon crust and a good serving, with melted cheese on top. if you are a fan of lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions and other garnish on your burger, this isn't the place for you. their burgers are simple and straight forward. They have two types of sauces ( Voodoo Barbecue and So Hot Its stupid), we didn't really see a big difference between the two sauces, and their Hot sauce, isn't really spicy (according to my spicy food addict friends). Their fries are traditional simple fries (on the thicker end, not skinny ones like McDonalds) but good. They had a special 2 for 1 beer special for the Brooklyn Stouts. Overall it was a good experience. If I am in the area and craving a burger, I'd probably stop by. But, is it a top favorite? I'd say I prefer the Beco do Hamburger ones better. But, go to Hells and give them a try!

It was a rainy and miserable day in Rio de Janeiro and I did not feel like trogging through the wetness . I got my food via Uber Eats It was delivered hot and on time. The pork ribs were in between baby back ribs and slab ribs everything's different in Brazil. The pork was & tasted so good.It fell off the bone and easy enough for two. So in a sauce nothing like we have here in United States no mustard sauce and no tomato-based sauce something in between they call barbecue sauce..Along with french fries , portions are big enough for two people. The fresh squeezed orange juice which is found at most restaurants , I come to find out that very few actually will deliver them. Instead of having the national dish I got a bean soup black bean soup that is quite tasty though I needed to do doctored it up at having a little bit of kept hot sauce. I also had a pastel which is quite common having cheese but this one had cheese and onions very tasty. Along with the meal they serve small chunks of fried pork belly or bacon as we would call it but the pork belly was cut up and fried in about half inch cube squares. FYI..... be aware that any delivery no matter what the distance they say it will be about one hour before you actually get it. But most food will arrive at a hot reasonable temperature. When you come up with ice cream gelato or other cold things then you're just taking a chance on it being melted upon the arrival..On Uber you are able to track and know the driver, plus car- license plate , motor bike or bicycle definitely a good place to check in taste of food
