Tall stacks of books on display with index cards handwritten by the staff strategically placed to provide insight. A friendly staff who goes out of their way to assist you and even remembers you; that's how customer service should be! I recently purchased a book and came back two weeks later for a signing. Upon walking up to get in line a member of the staff recognized me and pinpointed that I was there two weeks prior to purchase to book. Talk about small town charm! Located at what is dubbed Four Corners that is I believe the only remaining intersection in the US that has pre-revolutionary stone houses on all 4 corners. I went with one of their current specials, "I Know What You Did Last S'more". It was so good but was unique compared to a typical s'more coffee drink since it had espresso and smoked black tea. I also had a chocolate croissant while my wife had a maple palmier and we enjoyed both. We snagged some window seats and it was the perfect way to enjoy the drinks and baked goods. It's located on such a charming street, and stepping inside felt like walking into an elevated Barnes & Noble straight out of a Harry Potter movie. There are endless shelves of books across every genre, cozy seating throughout, and the perfect atmosphere to spend hours browsing or reading. The coffee was just as wonderful as the space. I wasn't sure what to order, so the barista recommended a drink and was incredibly accommodating with my many requests. I can't have too much milk or syrup, so I basically gave them a complicated custom order, and they made it exactly to my liking without hesitation. I also ended up buying one of the chocolate bars they had at the counter and turns out it was $20!!!! As a tourist, I had no idea it was a well known local chocolate brand with a factory nearby, so that was a fun surprise. This is the kind of place that makes you want to slow down. I'd love to come back, grab a coffee, spend the entire afternoon reading, and just soak in the comforting smell of books and fresh coffee. Such a cozy, magical spot that's well worth visiting!

I found several OLD (1904-ish) farm vet type books. Upon checking out, I told the owner how thrilled I was to find them, and he recommended I go upstairs, second door, second shelf from the top, closest to the window.... he knows every book in the place! And word is he has another warehouse full of books!! They're only open 11-5 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so I plan to go back at 10:59 with snacks and stay the duration.
