This is a small, neighborhood post office - the one-room kind that every small town in America has…read more It's nice to find that kind of small community post office in a bigger city :) There's access (and drop-off mailboxes) on the back side, uphill from the Kroger parking lot in Hillcrest, and walk-in access on Kavenaugh proper. It's so narrow it's easy to miss from either side, but very convenient for those of us who live nearby. They have P.O. boxes for rent, small shipping boxes and envelopes for USPS Priority packages, the usual selection of stamps. But why this location stands out to me is the individual service. There's rarely ever more than one person at the counter to help customers, but there's rarely more than two customers in the place, so things tend to move quickly. But, I've had consistently great service from the folks here, and any letter or package I send from this location seems, almost magically, to get where it's going at least a day before it should. What higher praise can you give a Post Office?

The staff aren't very proficient multitasking with more than one client and are painfully slow. The…read morestaff does not seem to have a do whatever it takes to help the client's mentality either. On several occasions I have been waiting for copies while the lady at the shipping desk is just standing there and the manager overcharged me and when I asked if prices went up she told me to come back in so she could take a look, which I don't have time for all that just charge me the right price the first time, also she'd rather put the receipt on the counter instead of giving it to me in my hand. We had a last minute print shop need. The owner, Theresa, was so kind and quick. She got the print…read moreshop to finish what we needed right as they were closing for the day. They were able to print and laminate our sign. She drove to the shop and brought it back to the store herself. It was such a kind and compassionate act of service. They also remodeled the inside of the store to host more desks to get people through more effectively.
