The person selling me stamps, and taking my letters, was very friendly and polite. Oh, and patient as my wife was having a hard time deciding on which stamps :-). So hopefully others won't be fully disillusioned, and postal workers can feel good about their jobs. I still think the USPS is one of the better deals out their. I had an experience recently where a hat I ordered online was shipped to me in an Express box, but…read morewith a Standard shipping label. The package was shipped Standard, NOT Express. They attempted to deliver to my house but didn't because there was "no secure location," so I went to the post office to pick it up. When I got there, they told me I had to pay $42 dollars for my package or they'd send it back to the shipper. I asked why and they said because "it's in the wrong box." I told them that the package shipped Standard speed and that's what I paid for. They didn't care. They held my property hostage for $42. I became irritated and asked them to "just give me my property." They refused. I called them "criminals" and they told me to call the Police if I felt that way. I did and when the police came, the postal workers asked them to have me issued a Criminal Tresspass Warning. If you use this office, be careful that they have a history of up-charging for services you didn't even use and if you protest, they'll say whatever they have to to police to make you out to be the bad guy.
