She helped my daughter with her entries for numerous writing competitions, including the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, for which she won gold and silver medals over multiple years. The new owner is Victor who is highly unprofessional and probably not even a writer based on his endless spelling mistakes. Examples: He first told me that the resume update would be $250, it's advertised as $120 on the site. He said he would honor that rate, but then didn't know what is included in the package till I told him. He told me he would do the resume, then didn't respond for 4 days. He said we would use Dropbox for the files, then he sends a ZIP file instead. He also doesn't take any online payments but wants checks instead? Overall, I quit the experience and I will never use this company again. I am beyond sad to hear Hayley left but this unprofessionalism isn't worth paying for and I would do my resume myself with the amount of headache this has been.

This company states on their web site that they ghostwrote the book NIGHT by Elie Wiesel. But -…read morelaughably - on their web site they have it listed under the "romance" section. I'm sure many people are aware just how ludicrous this was. Their web site bears pictures of other authors' work and claiming it as their own. When challenged (if you're bored and bother to answer their sales chat solicitations) they say that oh, no, that particular person is using ANOTHER service of theirs. And signed up with them in 2012. Even though their web site didn't exist yet. But I'm sure any of these ACTUAL authors will soon find out that this company is claiming their books have all been ghostwritten by "Prime Writing Hub" and will be in touch soon. ___ Adding that a half hour after I reached out to them and wrote this review they changed the web site and took down the falsely-claimed books. I'll give them two stars back - at least they tried to fix their VERY obvious goof.

When we first met her, we knew she was the right person to help our son with his college application. She planned everything ahead and kept my son on track with all the application processes. She was always creative and shared new ideas from different aspects of the applications. She was tireless in her enthusiasm and generous with her time, especially during the holiday season. She gave my son the most considerable support. The competition is fierce for Asian male engineering students, and she helped my son create the strongest application possible. With every twist and turn, another staircase or room appears, filled with books and entirely new worlds to discover. It always brings me back to the days I spent with my grandmother at our old library. We would sit together on the stairs and read to each other, completely content to spend hours surrounded by books. I think that's part of why City Lights feels so special to me--it brings back that same sense of curiosity, comfort, and excitement I felt with her. I rarely come here looking for one specific thing. The fun is wandering the shelves until a cover, title, or completely unexpected book catches my attention. Somehow I always leave with another story I can't wait to disappear into. There are bookstores you go to simply to buy a book, and then there are bookstores you experience. City Lights is the latter. It's a little piece of San Francisco that I hope never changes.
