Cookie was loving but she had a TERRIBLE nipping problem (along with other issues). She had gone through 2 trainers already and nothing was working. With a 7 year old child in the house, Cookie spent most of her time in her crate. I just could not risk my daughter accidentally getting hurt. Cookie went with Danny for 4 weeks and she came back a whole new dog. Before Danny, cookie was never allowed to roam the house. I am forever grateful for Danny's patience. He would send me updates, pictures and videos on Cookies progress. He even followed up with another lesson to show my dad how to properly handle Cookie at home. Thank you Danny! You saved Cookie.

When he left, he was biting the furniture, not listening at all to commands and having accidents all over the house. He came home so well behaved, but still with the same cuddly loving personality. We now love taking walks with him as he no longer leads us and listens very well. We would highly recommend Danny's program to anyone looking for a great dog training program. Danny and his wife were very kind and patient and treated Charlie like part of their family!

Fantastic!! I have a (now) 6 month German Shepherd. I didn't do my investigation and got him from a…read morefriend of a friend who's dad breeds them in PA. When I got my pup (Ollie), he was a little scared of other dogs. He would bark at them and go crazy, he will also see certain people and go nuts as well. If you got into an elevator with me and him, he would bark at you. Not in an aggressive way, more like who are you give me love kinda of way. He also loved to pull and drag me or whoever walked him around. I had already trained him with potty training, but was concerned that his behavior kept getting worse. My neighbor also has a German Shepherd and her dog is insane. She can barely control him and he's also super aggressive. My fear was that Ollie would wind up like that and that I'd have to give him up because I wouldn't be able to control him). After reading a lot of reviews, I contacted Abcs of Dog Training, and spoke to Michael. I was interested in the three week training. Michael was very clear and honest from the start. Seemed to know what he was doing. He agreed to come pick up Ollie. While away, Michael sent me updates. He taught him commands and socialized Ollie. Now when I take him for walks, Ollie never barks at anyone, not even at other dogs. The only time when he barks is when we are inside the home and there's someone approaching the door from the outside. He walks great on the leash, and listens to me. You have to keep on practicing the commands (heel, sit, leave it, lay down, stay, drop it, measure walk, and a few more). I'm extremely grateful for Michael and his training. Training was a bit expensive but so worth it. Michael also offers the two week follow up and is there for any questions you may have before and after the process.

THANKFULLY I didn't check because my experience here really surpassed expectations. Both of my dogs absolutely hate anything that's not a walk or playing. So bringing them to get their nails cut is always stressful, but it really needed to be done. The staff were all great and really handled them with care, they were super friendly and professional. The second dog was getting a little stressed towards the end and the girl doing the nails actually suggested we leave the last nail instead of stressing her out. Any vet or petco I feel would've just powered through and not cared. I really wish I knew her name cause she was absolutely wonderful to deal with, and we completely trusted her with our dogs. I'm really surprised by the other reviews on here because our experience at this location was the exact opposite. I will continue bringing my dogs here for nail cuttings and maybe try the bathing section out too. We were in and out, each dog took less than 5 min on the table.

So we raced to aisle 4, grabbed a bag of Science Diet, and paid for it. Another very nice young man checked us out. I asked if they had tadpoles. They don't, but they have dwarf frogs! So I will be returning. I need frogs to eat the bugs that bite me. I have a tiny pond. It appears to be a large and well-stocked store. I didn't have time to take pix. Prices for dog food are basically the same as PetSmart or Petco. I'm sorry that we got there at closing time, but those young men were very gracious. As I really needed the dog food, I'm especially appreciative. They could have just said, "Nope, sorry, closed, tough noogies." But they didn't. Looking forward to returning for frogs and maybe fish!

As this was my very first time leaving my pup I was worried how Sammy would adapt. However, Mike sent me videos of Sammy and that allowed me to be at ease and enjoy my vacay. Originally I was only going to leave my baby for 5 days, unfortunately the airlines screwed up and cancelled my flight 2 hrs beforehand. I panicked and immediately messaged Mike and mentioned I was stuck at my destination for another 2 days and didn't pack enough food for Sammy. Mike was very accommodating and understanding and fed Sammz only the brand I feed. Sammy is much more calm and doesn't pull on his leash during his walks anymore and stays by my side while crossing the street now. I am very grateful to find such a sitter and will definitely be coming back to Mike. I will also be recommending him to all my friends. And friends, friends, & colleagues.

But outside of his annoying issues, he's awesome, and let's face it, our pets deserve as much love and cuddle-time as possible. My friends recommended Mike of Paws Up NYC after he took care of their dog, who had aggression with other dogs, including mine, due to not being socialized when younger and snapped whenever another dog got within 5 feet. After two weeks of Mike taking care of her, their dog had no problem with dogs. Because my usual dogsitter was on vacation, I decided to use the time to try Mike out, and I'm glad I did! When I returned, Shabu was noticeably calmer indoors, so right away I knew Mike had done some training with him during his staycation. While Shabu doesn't have command issues, he does have behavioral issues and Mike had some (free) advice and suggestions that helped a ton; I believe he also tried to work with him on those issues but it's difficult because the permanent home is different from a temporary home. Regardless, it has helped to an extent for sure. Since then, I've been bringing my dog to Mike since he lives a bit closer as well. He really takes the time to get to know your dog's habits and quirks, meanwhile integrating them into the pack slowly (with new dogs) so as not to spaz any of them out. He can teach your dog basic commands or any new tricks if you'd like (there is a questionnaire that you fill out). The best part of the entire thing is that he keeps you updated the entire time with videos and photos so you don't have to freak out and worry how things are going. Not only is he great with dogs, he is very genuine and easy-going and makes you feel relieved with leaving your pup behind. I highly recommend Mike for anyone in the Queens area (or further if you are ok with traveling) for daycare, boarding or training. As for daily/weekly rates, it is on point with others in the area, so there is absolutely no excuse not to head to Paws Up. Now if only he could take care of my cat-dog*... *Cat that thinks and acts like a dog - not a half-cat, half-dog mythical creature
