She had people who cared for her and who she trusted with her feelings. She was physically and emotionally safe. Fast forward to 1 year later, my daughter is now a confident, social, and creative "big girl." We are so impressed with the person she has grown to be within this environment. She loves writing and drawing. She sings so many different songs. She recites books that she's read at school from memory. She has a new best friend every few weeks. She's really blossomed. Other great things about Safari Kid: They helped us potty train. They send newsletters every few weeks with pictures of our kids learning and having fun. They share pictures of the kids on Instagram and Facebook (my husband and I get excited when we see her face in them). They put together fun events that parents can participate in. We took our 2 years old son with us on the visit as we wanted to include him in the process and help make the transition to school smoother for him. The school is part of a church but the preschool curriculum does not appear to be focus on religion. We started with a p/t schedule for about 1.5 months then transition him to f/t. I would say it took him about 2 months to fully transition. However, I did not have any worries as Ms. Jenny and the other teachers/paraprofessionals are very kind, friendly, supportive and knowledgeable of child development. I like that they did not pressure my son with potty training him but encourages him daily to use the toilet. They understand that every child's development is different and that my son is ready when he is. He eventually sat on the toilet but did not do his business and everything clicked when he turned 3 as he is now potty trained. :) Now that my son is used to preschool, he is excited to go to school every day and happy to share with me his classwork/artwork whenever I pick him up. He leaves the school smiling and saying bye to all his friends and teachers. Further, he is always singing songs and talking about things he has learn from school.
