Our dog LOVES Posh Pets (we do too). He is so excited to see his friends. I am continually happy with the grooming. Scissor skills on point. His white fur is so bright and he smells so good. The Staff is so kind and caring like friends you've known your whole life. Highly recommend.

My daughter was visiting with her new puppy. We took him to Posh Pets for his first pampering day! A kind and loving environment. Many dogs were at the shop, getting groomed, and all seemed happy! The staff were kind, efficient and talented. Our Cavelier looked great! We will be back.

This place is magical! I usually groom my own dogs, never paid someone to do it. It's always been easy UNTIL now. After a very unsuccessful attempt at grooming my chihuahua-poodle-cocker spaniel, etc. puppy, I decided to go professional. I've had no problems grooming my first dog, who just sits there and enjoys every pass of the clippers. Bruce is a bit more challenging. I'd call him a DIFFICULT DOG. He has way more hair than I'm used to, it grows in between his paw pads, and he hates being groomed. With these challenges, I decided to look to Yelp! for some help. Posh Pets was very quick to respond when I sent them a message about my difficult situation. I wasn't sure they would take him. I was worried about him being anxious or just being too squirmy, but they assured me that difficult dogs were no problem for them. I made an appt over the phone. When I walked in, there was window and a gate, so it's just enough room for drop off and pickup. The rest of the place is all grooming area. No frills, simple. Happy dogs greeted us at the gate, and everyone was super friendly. (Plus Mexico Viejo is right nextdoor, so breakfast burritos, yum.) Anyway... I walked Bruce in, and he was terrified, even on his anxiety meds. I asked them to go as short as possible because his hair grows very quickly. (TBH, in my stubbornness, I tried once again to do it myself, hence bringing them a half groomed dog. He looked ridiculous. I needed help.) When I picked him up, he was chill and calm. His face, paws, and ears are perfect, and for me, the hardest part to groom. He looks awesome! I am a customer forever. You guys are truly magic! To my surprise, they said he was sweet and easy! Who? Bruce? Easy? Lol! Glad it all worked out for you guys. Now he looks like a prince! Thanks, Posh Pets!

Katherine and her team are the best! I've been to the groomers where they just shaved down your dog without any thought. Posh Pets really puts time and effort into making your pups look adorable!

posh pets is the way to go!! my sweet boy loki had been seeing Katherine on a regular basis since she opened this spot! he was always so nervous about the groomer, never enjoyed being kenneled and the whole experience caused him so much anxiety! but not at posh pets!! we'd pull into the parking lot and her immediately start wagging his tail and whining and would be just so excited when he jumped out of the car! every time we would drop him off he would waltz right into the shop with no stress! katherine and her whole team always took such great care of him loki crossed the rainbow bridge about 2 months ago and we miss him terribly but i know that any dog we get in the future will for sure be going to posh pets

I dropped my 2 dogs off for grooming last week. I got a bad vibe when I walked in, but didn't go with my gut. It was a 10am appt and there were already 6 dogs there. I was told 3-4 hours for their grooming. After 4.5 hours I called and I was told they "were backed up" and that my dogs hadn't even "gotten on the table yet". After expressing my frustration I asked why they didn't tell Me they were back up. She said "they didn't know they were going to be backed up, but when asked when they did know, why wasn't i informed, she couldn't answer that. I got a call about 6 hours in that they were ready and I immediately went and picked them up. The owner came to speak to me and advised me that for 2 dogs it's typically about 5 hours. I said that's not what I was told. (I've taken my dog to another groomer and my 2 dogs were done in about 2 hours). She never apologized. Only stayed that she will speak to the person who communicated that with me. The most upsetting part is one of my dogs barely looks like she was groomed. One dog looks good. The other looks like she got trimmed around her face but the rest of her body hardly looks cut. Her "sani area" looks like it was never trimmed. I was too upset at the time and just wanted to get my poor girls out of there that I didn't even notice at first. When they got home they both could hardly hold their pee and poop and they both drank a ton of water. 6 hours for 2 pups is too long to be under that kind of stressful situation. I will never go back there again. If you decide to go, I would suggest you see how many dogs are there and waiting before you drop them off, and don't believe their estimate. I'm very disappointed in this establishment and I wish I went with my gut and took them home when I felt like it was more of an assembly line than a place that cares about your pup. Posting a pic of my 1 dog? Does this look like a dog that spent 6 hours at a groomer?

The grooming was a bit expensive but my Yorkie looked very handsome. She listened to me when I said not too short but short enough so that the new puppy couldn't drag him around by his tai

We moved to San Diego area a few years ago and struggled finding a good groomer for my labradoodle and golden retriever. I couldn't recommend posh pets grooming enough! They are truly amazing. So often groomers told us we had to shave our labradoodle and it was super frustrating for us. Posh Pets takes their time and you can truly tell they care about their work. My dogs come home so happy every-time.

Moved up to n county so I needed to find a new place for my girl to get groomed. What I loved about Posh Pets is for one they allow the dogs to be out and about in the grooming area prior to their treatment. So much than in a crate or kennel. Two, she was clean, fresh and happy when I picked her up. Would prefer a bow on her collar next time but I'll just request. Overall very happy with this new neighborhood find. Mia did a great job.

    Ginger a very happy customer.

I was hesitant because my fluffy cat hadn't been to a groomer in years ( they closed) and my short hair kitty had never been to a groomer at all. I let the groomer know this and let them know that the short hair kitty doesn't like his hands being touched, so I wasn't sure if he would get his nails trimmed. Not sure if I needed to be there or not in case a blood bath would happen They reassured me that Angel is great with cats and that he would be fine. I got there about 7:50am and Angel let me go in early with the furkids. The place was nice and clean and no vibes! I dropped them off and Angel told me it would take about 3 hrs and he'll call me when they were done. I waited out front in the car with my Mom. When they were ready, they called and I went inside to pick them up. They looked fantastic and smelled so good. They were calm, no look of discomfort or panic, so hopefully things went well. Even after a week of being home, they still smelled great and the short haired baby smelled good a week after that. They also both had matching bandanas which was adorable! We'll go to this place again and hope they make a closer location.

After Frankie wasn't quite ready for daycare because she needed more positive socialization with other puppies, Paw Commons recommended Kristen's puppy social sessions. It turned out to be exactly what she needed. Like many rescue puppies, we don't know what Frankie's early life was like. Watching her gradually come out of her shell over the past several weeks has been incredibly rewarding. Kristen creates a safe, structured environment where puppies build confidence, learn appropriate social skills, enjoy enrichment activities and simply get to be puppies. Her years of experience are evident in the way she understands puppy behavior and thoughtfully guides each session. Seeing Frankie's confidence grow week after week has brought us so much joy. She now looks forward to Saturdays, and so do we. I especially recommend Puppy Social hour for rescue puppies. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, patient facilitator who truly understands puppy development, Kristen is exceptional. Thank you for giving Frankie such a positive start.

NEW UPDATE PER KARLY'S REPLY:…read more To clarify a few things: the meet and greet fee was not communicated to me at booking, and the fact that it was waived due to "confusion at pickup" speaks for itself. Transparency means the total cost is clear upfront, not discovered at checkout. Regarding outreach, one person called and one person emailed. The email from Karly was not an attempt to resolve the situation but rather an argument defending your pricing practices. That is not the same as making things right. No actual remedy was ever offered. Asking what would make it right without putting anything on the table is not a resolution. A gesture like a partial or full refund or a complimentary future stay would have gone a long way. Most concerning was the bath being performed after I explicitly declined it. That is not a communication issue, that is a matter of respecting a customer's wishes regarding their pet. I see from other reviews that pricing surprises are a recurring concern. I hope this feedback is taken seriously rather than attributed to customers not reading thoroughly enough. I also want to note that reading through their response, the pattern is clear: every concern I raised was met with an explanation of why I was wrong or hadn't read carefully enough. That is not accountability. The only thing they genuinely owned was the bath, and even that was buried at the end after multiple paragraphs defending themselves. A business that truly takes responsibility doesn't spend most of its response telling the customer they should have known better. -------------------------- I want to share my experience so other pet owners know what to expect before booking. When I called to make a Memorial Weekend reservation for my puppy, I was given a total price and told the first night would be free. At no point was I informed about a mandatory daily insurance fee ($5-$6/day). I only discovered it while signing paperwork at drop-off. When I called to raise this concern, Michael told me it is not their job to disclose additional charges over the phone - that it is meant to be mentioned at drop-off. So by their own admission, they intentionally withhold fee information until you are already there signing paperwork with your dog in tow. When I followed up via email, Karly shifted the explanation, saying the fee is listed on their website under "add-ons", a label that implies optional, not mandatory. At pickup, they also attempted to charge an undisclosed meet-and-greet fee. They waived it, but it was yet another surprise charge. Most frustratingly, I explicitly declined a bath since my puppy had just been groomed. They bathed her anyway, and I had to take her home wet. California's SB 478 Honest Pricing Law exists for exactly this reason. Required fees must be disclosed upfront, not revealed at drop-off when you are least likely to walk away. The facility seemed fine, but the pattern of hidden fees, contradictory explanations, and disregarded instructions means I will not be returning. To Paw Commons management: before attempting to negate this review, please know I have email receipts documenting everything stated here. A good business responds to legitimate feedback with accountability and an apology, not by attacking the reviewer. UPDATE: After posting my review, I was contacted by Ben (manager/owner). He did apologize, which I appreciated, but the call was otherwise unproductive -- no real remedy was offered, just justifications for how they run their business. He defended burying mandatory fees under the "Add Ons" section by saying they "assume" customers read through the entire site, and that having two insurance coverage options makes it too complicated to list fees upfront. That's not a valid excuse. There are plenty of ways to present two options clearly while still showing customers what they'll actually owe per night. Additionally, a meet and greet fee was charged that is nowhere on their website and was never mentioned at check-in. Surprise fees should not be how customers find out what they owe. An apology without a willingness to fix these issues doesn't change my experience.

After reading other reviews, I started bringing extra towels, brushes, and my own shampoo since my pup has such a thick coat, and that's worked out perfectly. The Good: great people, great grooming and baths and "CAGE FREE"…read more. The Bad: April 1st they began charging $25 per dog for a "cageless service fee". The problem is they don't have any cages in the grooming area. And if you bring 2 dogs in together then it $50 before you do anything!! You don't have a choice to do cageless or caged. One of the great things about Dirty Dogs is that it is cage free. So find another way to increase prices more legitimately, and until then I will have to think twice about coming in again or as often. A friend of mine said that he cut back on the amount that he tips to make up for this charge. That's not fair to the groomers. But it's his way of letting you know that he doesn't approve of this frivolous fee either.
