Ok so I know yall see the low ratings. I'm not sure what it's about but I've been taking my dogs here for over a year now and they're extremely caring and accommodating! I told one of the ladies working there about how I'm extremely against having a dog in a kennel and that I want him to be immediately groomed when I drop him for his appointment and when he's done I want to be there to take him home right after. She said as long as I got there as soon as they opened she would, so I did and she did an amazing job! And they're so loving and friendly to the animals!! To be fair when I first went to check them out they were very accommodating and took my dogs on the spot to trim they're nails and were great with my pups!! BUT.. the reviews are real !.I booked them to be the first appointment and be done together because I've always had them done together they have separation anxiety which I told them. They said no problem and booked my for today. We pull up the lady is outside smoking and a dog is inside on that table with another in the crate waiting..that's both times we went both times shes outside smoking...WTH? I booked for the first appointment and then be done together and they double booked and the other groomer wasn't even in today! So both my dog would be crated for at least 3 hours, separately for hours? yeah no thanks! They did offer to rebook for tomorrow but after this fiasco they proved everything thing these reviews sad are true contrary to what they're website said that's the reviews are lies! There's no way I trust them with my dogs! And if you love your dogs you should find another groomer also! And I would never want my review to hurt a small business or someones job but to lie on a website claiming these reviews are lies isn't right! I choose my words with care: I had read a review from a person who described, in accurate detail, the "DOWNHILL" slide that Posh Paws has taken. He is and was correct. Their attention to customers of the two and four-legged (canine variety) is now a disappointment. They overbook, schedule with no regard for promptness, and have, in their new location, a door which is like an alarm; and is an angry - not a friendly sound - to us nor our dogs. To be treated - or MIStreated - is a surefire way to lose customers and be amongst the failed establishments which, unfortunately, my crystal ball says will and should be in the near future for POSH PAWS. We started with them about seven years ago when they opened. They were top-notch then. I applaud the past and loath the present. Doing a "rush-to-finish" job this week resulted in an injury to our canine Yorkie - WHICH REQUIRED SPENDING NEARLY $100.00 WITH OUR VETERINARIAN. SHAME on this mismanaged and burned-out operation! Do not trust these people to groom your dog , my dog was hurt there in Sept and not only did they keep the money for the groom and tip,they lied and deny and blamed my dog,that he's old and hard to handle when I asked them to pay his vet bill $155,then the owner called my vet and when I asked my vet for a written diagnosis,he stated he's not getting sued..Just a note, this used to be a nice open shop till they moved,it's now dirty with a loud alarm that goes off when you open the door and every groom is behind closed door. read more

I want to update our review. We have been taking Cooper here at least 2 yrs or more. We tried another place and was not happy. Anytime we've had an issue and there have not been many, it was addressed and everything has been fine. Any issue was when we first started taking him there and he didn't like being groomed. Different story now! He gets so excited when we pull up in front. He is happy there. I've found all employees to be pleasant and the owner more than happy to accommodate us. You can't please everyone but I'm happy and from other reviews I've read so are alot of others. We will continue taking Cooper here. read more

This outfit has really gone down hill, the prices have soared and the service has plummeted, After accepting an appointment and waiting 5 days I dropped off our dog, despite claims they had called me (untrue as I had no missed calls and no VM's), they decided that they were not prepared to groom our dog. I explained our dog had sustained an injury (a muscle tear which the VET said will take time), but was OK for grooming as per our vet, but oh no, we just had to waste time and gotten now where. We have been going there for years and have 3 dogs but no more. Greed has gotten hold of these guys. PRICES UP......SERVICE DOWN......HELPP NON _EXISTENT, now use the stock response "my manager....." This was an absolute nightmare. We had an appointment for our dog at 1pm and at 2:50pm, our dog was still sitting in a pen without water and wasn't groomed. This is unacceptable on all levels and ESPECIALLY because he is a rescued senior/specialist needs dog. This shouldn't matter, but it does make matters worse. My husband approach them and questioned their operation and they verbally attacked him as a group with our dog in his arms. 2 1/2 years of getting him groomed monthly and 15 1/2 years with my other dog and never had an issue with a groomer until now. The manager is aggressive and confrontational and the facility is dirty. My dog immediately ran to the water bowl as soon as he walked into our home which he never does and had to be hydrated throughout the night with a bottle in his bed before his gums turned pink again. *****reply to the "manager" I have EVERY right to review you and your facility. This is my dog who was subjected to 2 hours in a pen not drinking and was never groomed in that timeframe! You are a horrible business manager and previous reviews show that, not the reviews you had friends post at the same time we complained. Made appt, took the dog, and went to pick her up at the time she told me to (actually a few minutes later). Dog wasn't done. I offered to leave her and come back again. She then said to just take her... that she didn't have time. Bad enough, but the worst part of the whole thing was her rudeness on top of everything else. Not apologetic at all and overall nasty attitude. Will never go back and 100% do NOT recommend. My business could have been salvaged if they would have simply just taken responsibility for their scheduling mistakes and... would've been nice! I was not impressed with the tatooed staffs appearances. They didn't look professional. But neihhnor liked them so I tried them. After her first visit my dog had to have tail clipped and her paws clipped, they forgot. She was nice and fluffy. Second visit, groomer was out front smoking and blocking front door. They were told again to clip her feet when I went tp pick her up, they forgot. D og was not as fluffy as before but it was ok. Now, 2 weeks later she is full of FLEAS!! AS an indoor dog with no other dog contact, the staff gave her fleas from an unclean dog leaving fleas on a groomer. I've had dogs for 60 years and never did any of them ever have fleas. Took my dog here two times and the groomer did a good job. I did notice the place was dirty and disorganized. on the third appt. I was called at the last minute and told my groomer was not there, would I let another do the job? The person who groomed my dog did a terrible job. The next time I went in, I complained about the bad haircut. The woman I told this to was the one who did the bad job. She called the owner and the owner said "because I complained they would not groom my dog." I consider myself lucky they wouldn't do the job. read more

For the last year (2021) things went ok when grooming our Lhasa, but slowly the groomer and the shop owner let things go down hill on our dog. We had taken him over 12 times to the shop, but this last week was the CAKE! We dropped him off, told the groomer to do a body trim-face, which includes nails, tail, etc. WELL--when we rec'd the call to come get our Lhasa....the ONLY THING that had been done was he was WASHED and COMBED out, no grooming, no cut was down to his coat or nails and they wanted $50 for a F___ wash and blow job. Needless to say, we "personally" in our opinion will never go back, but if you want to take your dog there, you might end up getting the same shaft as we did. POSH PAWS is a NO for us. You just don't F___ your good customers like that and expect to retain us. Shame on you Posh Paws. My wife was so embarrassed by what they did, I asked her, "Why did you pay them $50 for not doing what they were supposed to do?" My wife said, "I was just too upset at the moment and wanted to leave because I was so angry. Needless to say we will Never GO BACK . read more

Wow!! What a wonderful experience for our pup. Our poodle mix is elderly --over 15 years old-- and needs patience because of his arthritic legs. Nicole was the absolute best! She was so careful and gave him breaks during the grooming. The second time we brought him back, he followed Nicole happily --something he has never done with any other groomer. He loves her! Nicole did such a great job. I met another employee who also was so kind and welcoming. If I could give this business more than five stars, I would. read more

I have been taking my Maltese there for 2 years with no problems however they have gotten worse. Took her last week after setting an appointment at 11:00. She was to be done in 2-3 hours as they were busy. Called at 230 was not done. They close at 4 so headed in at 415 after not hearing from them. Still not done paid for grooming and tip. They never finished her said was too busy. Got home to find she was cut down to bare skin in spots. Had large cut under tail. I have tried to call them several times left messages to see what happened with no response. I assume that's what took so long and why they never finished. I have taken my dog to Posh Paws twice to have his nails trimmed. He's a large dog with black nails that are difficult for me to clip myself. They don't require an appointment for nails. Both times these ladies have been very welcoming, took care of him quickly, and did a good job. We are new to the area and a neighbor takes her 2 dogs to them for grooming and recommended the shop. I am reading the reviews on this page and this is by far NOT what these ladies are... Nicole and everyone is amazing! My mini schnauzer is a needy a hole at times and he hates everyone but loves these ladies. He is always ok with going and gets excited when I say let's go see Nicole I have been through ALOT of groomers trying to find his fit and Posh Paws takes the cake! They have a unlimited bath and groom package I use for him so he gets a bath once weekly and his normal groom once a month or so. I promise you my dog is my world and you really need to give these ladies a chance because they are amazing!!! Also, you get what you give so if you come in with a crap attitude then expect that ANYWHERE in return. read more

I'm new in town and decided to take my rescued (11 months ago) Papillon to Posh Paws for grooming. I wish I would have checked out their reviews BEFORE I took my Molly to this groomer. They apparently don't know anything about grooming Papillons because they butchered my Molly. They literally shaved her ... just as we're going into winter. When I asked why, the groomer replied that it was very hard to do a short trim on these dogs because their fur "ripples". My old groomer in Mt. Dora never had a problem with "ripples". I told them I wanted all her long whispy hair on her legs to be left alone ... they shaved all that all off too. She still has her dew claws and they almost cut one of them off ... she was bleeding for days. She was supposed to be ready by 3pm and I had to call them at 4 just before they closed to find out what was going on. They said she was bathed but waiting to be trimmed and they would call me when they were done. They called 20 minutes later to come pick her up. I think someone botched her trimming and another groomer had to come in and just shave her to make her presentable. They botched the trim job too ... it was patchy everywhere. I asked exactly who trimmed her and they wouldn't tell me! I went back in the next day to complain but the owner wasn't there and they said they'd have her call me. That never happened. A week later, an assistant called and left a message, but when I returned that call, nobody ever called me back again. This owner does not care about her customers or their pets. I posted pics of what they did to Molly on a Papillon page and they all said to NEVER take her back to this groomer and to give the groomer bad reviews to warn people about this business. This is my first bad review ... but not my last. I wish I had checked out the reviews myself before I entrusted my Molly to Posh Paws ... there were quite a few other complaints similar to mine that would have prevented me from going there. Today I thought I would try this groomer since we have just moved to the area. When I walked in my Shitzu had a full body of black and white hair. I told the girl when I walked in that I didn't want my dog too short. She said no problem. When I went to finally pick up my dog at 1:30, mind you we had a schedule appointment at 10:30 and we were there on time, he looked like a rat sitting on the table still not done!!!!!! I walked out and cried to my husband as to what they did to my sweet doggie. He then went in and they told him my dog wouldn't settle down so they had to use a different razor to cut him. Mined you my dog had been groomed by professionals since he was a puppy until Covid. Then when my husband ask if he was matted they said yes. Now I had just cut him with professional dog razor a month ago. Along with that, I brush him for 20 minutes every morning. THERE IS NO WAY MY DOG HAD MATTED HAIR!!!! Extremely poor customer service. Tried to make an appt twice. The first time they declined my appt and the second time they just ignored my request. The web site is set up so you can make an appt but then you have to wait until they approve your appt. They never called and explained why. I I even called and left a message. I brought my dog in several times and at first they did a nice job. The last time I took her in however, they called in an hour saying she was finished. When I picked her up, her fur was poorly cut. I ended up having to fix it myself, it was like they gave her a bath, trimmed around her eyes and dried her...a waste of money for me for sure....very disappointed and will not go back. read more

I took my one year old border collie for her first grooming to Posh Paws. I have to say it was a great experience. The location is easy to get to and the shop itself looks immaculate and very professional. I am very picky when it comes to the care of my girl and I have to say I am so pleased with our experience. On March 3rd 2021 I brought my 7 year old Shih Tzu/Maltese to Posh Paws for a complete grooming. I had a 9:30 appointment and it should take normally not more than 2 hours at which time I expect a call to come pick her up. After 2 1/2 hours at 12:00 I called to see what was going on but no one picked up the phone. Called again at 12:30 and again no answer. Finally I decided to drive over there and arrived at 1:00. The owner came out and told me my dog would be ready in 20 minutes. She was brought out to me, 4 hours after her appointment time and by now I was furious. I paid her, took my dog and went home. It was then I realize that they basically did a slight trim instead of a full groom. I went back asking for a refund because i would have to take her somewhere else in a couple of weeks whereas she normally gets groomed every 7 weeks, but the owner refused. She said you are not coming back anyway so why should I do that. Needless to say, I will never go there again and would definitely NOT recommend them to anyone else. BTW, they never answer their phone and I had to go there in person to make the appointment. Just sorry I can't give them zero stars. Larry T. read more
