They should change their name to Hands to Wallet. I took my 8lb and 18 year old poodle I took him several times and the price was reasonable so I didn't ask the price. When I picked him up they charged $90, almost double, also they didn't listen how I want him trimmed. When I came back to get him they shaved him all over,and i wasn't happy. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. read more

Hands to Paws ae injurded 2 of my Schnauzers by clipping them to shprt. I first though it would go away but her whole leg started getting reded and redded so imediatleu though infection. I took her to the vet to the tune of #113 dollars, as per requested by the groomer. I brought it back and i haven;t geard a word. Not am I sorry, I'we will give you back to the $58 for the service. Took my Maltese/Tsu there for groom for a long time without problems. Late Aug. dropped her off for regular groom. Noticed very few dogs there and only a couple of "groomers". Got a call that there "was a problem" with her eye. It was shut and bloody. Local vet said she had a corneal ulcer, due to TRAUMA. She had a perforation in the cornea. No local vets could do anything to repair eye. Had to take her to Gainsville (UF Vet Hospital) for complicated surgery, weeks of follow-up treatments. During all this time, I was texting Claudia Olsen (owner) Hands to Paws on status of treatment, All I got was words of concern, but no financial help or responsibility. My last tele call she said "this is the first I have heard of the injury". BEWARE read more

I have taken my dog three times and although the grooming was ok, I was told that in the future I would be charged $5-$10 for de-shedding because it took the groomer too long to dry my dog. NEVER been told that before by any groomer! My dog has short hair and weighs about 25 lbs. I just did not like that I was told that my $45 groom will go up to close to $60! Buyer Beware. I think they try to upsell. I was also talked into trying an expensive Skin Therapy too. I will admit that the Skin Therapy was good for my dog's skin. Now looking for another groomer. read more

Took my 3.5 lb yorkie in today at 130. Asked to have his head, legs and tail only cut. Came back at 4pm and asked if he was ready. There response was, "oh, shxx!" Waited another 30 minutes and paid $50 for a very poor and haphazard job. They will not be seeing us again! read more

They were so friendly and sweet to my dog while she was there getting her nails trimmed. Prices are very reasonable as well.

Took my dog there for a grooming and de shedding. Told I would have to pay $20-$25 or more for de shedding. When I picked my dog up it didn't even look like they tried to de shed her. Very disappointed would not recommend. read more

Brought my dog in at 12:30 and never got called to come get her till 6 p.m. closing. Stopped in once at 3 and they said she was not done yet. When I picked her up she was not washed, not groomed and everyone was gone except the girl at the front desk. I could not leave with her until I paid them the basic cost. WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. My dog also drank 2 bowls of water when she got home. She also is 16 years old and was soooo happy to see me. read more

I've taken my fur babies there several times but the last time was an AWFUL experience! Our appointment was originally for 1:00 p.m. ,they called to see if we could bring them in at 11:00 cause they had a cancellation. No problem sure I'll bring them at 11. Usually it's about 2 hours, I called at 2:30 and was told it would be another 2 hours before they would be ready. They had been there 3 hours already. I became upset and decided to go get my babies. I walk in and both of them are in a cage that should only house one dog. They had been shaved but that was it! I immediately said give me my dogs. The groomer said I had other dogs to take care of first. Then why did I even bring them in at 11? Anyway, she and the young man began to laugh and snicker at me because I was upset. When I picked up one of my collies they butchered her tail there is no tail wave. I will never take any of my dogs there again. My dog is very skittish around strangers and other dogs never mind when she needs to get her nails cut. The tech here made her feel safe and comfortable and we were able to get my dog's nails cut with a minimum of fuss. Have to try getting her a grooming package soon! read more
