Order from the boardwalk and have it winched up to you on a rope by a charming gal. Cute!!!! But only at certain times - I came on a late Friday afternoon and it wasn't open. You get off the train, get onto the boardwalk and it's a few steps along. $15 is stretching it a bit for boardwalk food - putting it closer to the usual $18+ in the city and Pret's Maine Lobster bun at $8. Especially as I could have eaten another one right after. (How about a twofer deal - 2 for $20?). Gonna try the fish tacos next!

The lunch/dinner special is $12 for 3 regular empanadas, 2 sides, and a soda - truly a steal!!! We ordered the beef, pork, & chicken to try the different fillings, and they did not disappoint. Each empanada is fried to order and piping hot, and the fillings are generous and perfectly seasoned. I surprisingly liked the shredded chicken the most, but really any of the 3 were good. The salsa verde for the empanadas is to die for, & really packs a spicy punch!! We shared an order, but for 1 person, this would definitely suffice as an entire meal. I guess I've found my go to empanada spot!! Will be returning in the near future to try the other fillings!

In fact, I'd go further and say, if you wanna go on this journey the way I did... you should. I ordered and tried it before I was high and my first thought was, this is low-key not great and I think I gotta be high.... So I did just that. ...it certainly got better as I pontificated about life and other dimensions of reality, and popped the dope sauce into the microwave... it all came together after that, I didn't love the half fried tortalini, mostly because there just wasn't enough bacon jam and stuff on top, but I obviously kept picking at it all night so, what's that say? The Shrimp sandwich was just that, shrimp, coleslaw, bread... it's good but way better stoned! The shrimp is large and the fry on it is boss level expertise Their two sauces (sweet honey mustard and spicy cherry pepper) are really good, the dope sauce is a cheese fondue type joint that needs to be heated and gooey and melty.... Unless you're at the truck I'm sure, but I ordered delivery. Now, with the tortalini I ordered the chicken side as well as the sausage, and by the end of the night I put the scarps together and made a chicken sausage and cheese fondue that was to die for, and that science experiment blew my mind because.... Maybe these assholes took me on that journey!? Hah maybe that's what I was supposed to do? Put it all on the tortalini? I dnno, but it was great and they get the fourth star just for that, because if they planned my night this way... lmao mind blown, but it didn't take much, I was smoking through my nose last night.
