Upon the recommendation of our Omni Hilton Head shuttle driver we went to Poseidon. Greatest immediately by the server. He asked if we want inside or outside. We chose the outside bar with plastic roll down windows / wind barriers with a heater over our table. The waitress greeted us promptly and brought waters. We ordered drinks and sushi roll appetizer. Both couples chose to share surf and turf and mixed grill options. Both were delicious both with a filet cooked perfect medium. We visited the Rooftop Bar and Dueling Piano show for the next evening. We are looking forward to g forward to coming back tomorrow night at 7 pm for the show.

My waitress was so amazing, so friendly and knowledgeable of the menu! However, my food was soooo bland, I was so shocked because it was such a great vibe in the restaurant! The oysters were perfectly steamed but I was so disappointed in the deviled crab stuffed cod. The 3 stars were purely because the service was great. The cocktails also needed some tlc.

When visiting Hilton Head Island in SC, be sure to stop at Poseidon Restaurant for lunch or dinner. The restaurant has delicious seafood and steaks. They have a great Happy Hour from 4pm-7pm. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The upper deck has live music on the weekends. I'm giving this restaurant 4/5 out of 5! We recommend trying the following: -Fried Oyster Po'Boy -Poseidon Lobster Roll -Sushi rolls -Grilled fish tacos -Peachy Rocks Cosmos The restaurant is located at the Shelter Cove Towne Centre where there are shops, restaurants, and desserts etc. We had good service. Give this place a try! Happy Yelping :)

Great Experience. Friendly and fast service. Food tasted great and portions were adequate. Atmosphere was nice. Great place to dine.

We were craving good Seafood and that is what we got! The clams were fresh, chewy, and salty. Perfectly paired with bread to sop up the liquid to end the meal. The She crab had a tomato base and distinct taste. Definitely felt like eating straight from the ocean and meaning it in the best possible way. All the seafood that came were substantial, "meaty", pieces. The shrimp had a snap to it. The crab dip was addicting. The casserole had a nice texture with smashed Ritz crackers in it. We happened to be there on a Tuesday Night and dined on the Rooftop Level. At 9p, the server was so kind. She saw that we had young kids in our party and told us to take the kids out to the balcony area to see the Fireworks on the Island. She was so patient-- told us to take the kids to see the fireworks and would take our order after because she didn't want them to miss it. The gesture was super thoughtful. The service was really warm and hospitable. The Nautical theme of the restaurant was super cool. The light fixtures, signage, decor and Wall Art made you feel you were walking into a kingdom in the ocean. Super chic, hip and vibrant. The corner booth we sat at looked like we dined in the center of a seashell. I really enjoyed my experience there!

Wow! This place is worth a stop. Come here for seafood. The New England clam chowda was delicious!! Just order it. I also ordered the island roll. It was good but over sauced in my opinion. I'd skip it in the future. Service was excellent and incredibly fast. I plan on coming back to order the seafood tower. I need more people to help me eat it though.

Crab cake and she crab soup amazing!

Great food! The soup and crab cake were great! I will go back when we are in town again. We went upstairs and it was nice.

It doesn't feel corporate or manufactured at all. More like you've stumbled into somebody's lovingly chaotic backyard dinner party where the food just happens to be genuinely top-tier. The mismatched charm, handwritten feel, and warm atmosphere are part of what makes it so special. There's this brilliant contrast between the laid-back hole-in-the-wall vibe and the seriously refined cooking coming out of the kitchen. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were incredibly tender, fried perfectly, and drizzled with a lovely house-made ranch. The sweet house pickles alongside were such a good touch. We also each had a cup of she crab soup which was beautifully seasoned and packed with tonnes of crab morsels. For mains, we shared the shrimp and grits and completely understood why the recipe has won awards, including being recognised as the 3rd best in the world. The recipe is rooted in traditional Lowcountry cooking but elevated with layers of flavour that somehow still feel comforting and homemade. The grits were unbelievably creamy, and the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked with fantastic flavour throughout. We also split the seafood purloo with blackened grouper, and it was equally impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh without trying too hard to be fancy. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond. They took time to chat with us about the area, paced the courses perfectly so nothing felt rushed, and by the end we were leaving with handshakes feeling more like guests than customers. Places like this are getting harder to find. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lowcountry food served by genuinely wonderful people.

It's the kind of old-school Southern seafood joint that focuses entirely on fresh seafood, generous portions, and cooking things the right way instead of trying to be trendy or polished. We started with the soup of the day, a butternut squash shrimp bisque, and honestly it set the tone for the whole meal. Perfectly seasoned, rich and creamy without being heavy, and absolutely loaded with shrimp morsels. No corners cut anywhere. Even the "cup" was more like a bowl compared to what most places serve. We also tried the conch fritters. I'd never had conch before so I was curious, and they completely delivered. Fried perfectly, piping hot in the center, crisp on the outside, and served with a spicy dipping sauce that worked really well with them. For the main course, I had the fried grouper sandwich with mac and cheese, while my wife and daughter got the same sandwich with green beans on the side. Everything was excellent. The grouper was fresh, flaky, and fried just right without feeling greasy. The sandwich came dressed with lettuce and tomato, and the tables are stocked with giant bottles of house-made tartar sauce plus every condiment imaginable, including whole Tabasco peppers, Pete's hot sauce, and anything else you could possibly want. We enjoyed it so much that we actually came back later that evening just to grab a large to-go order of the bisque. What really tied everything together though was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. You can tell this place has built its reputation the old-fashioned way: consistently great food and people who care. My only problem with this place was that they offer the option to select specific seating when making a reservation and in our case did not follow through. Please do not offer this specific option if you are not willing to honor these reservations. We had wanted to sit up by the bar, music and cornhole area at a high top (per my reservation). As the hostess was leading us to our table I noticed we were heading to a low table at the complete opposite side of the bar, so I stopped her and informed her of our reservation request. I figured she may not have known. Seconds later a lady was in our face telling us in a rushed, rather aggressive manner that the table we were being seated at was the best they could do. No high tops were available. So no hello, may I help you from her. No, hello I am so sorry that we cannot honor your reservation. No empathy or professionalism whatsoever. I was not happy. Good communication is key to allow understanding. My problem wasn't so much the table, but with how the supervisor/manager spoke to us. To make things worse, once seated I went to the restroom and on my way back there was a high top for 6 (my reservation number) cleaned and ready to go. So there was a table available. First time at Fishcamp. Disappointing experience - at first. The waitress was so kind though she made up for a rough start.
