They had the whitefish liver appetizer which we found is unique cuisine to the area and is amazing. Probably the best part of our meal. I had the whitefish and my wife had the trout - both were very good. This restaurant offers fantastic views of Lake Superior with friendly helpful service. It's a nice easy drive only a few miles away from Bayfield.

I was really dissappointed with my food (prime rib sandwich) and my wife thought her white fish wasn't very good either. also, the service was pretty slow. I think maybe you just are paying for the view.

Had the peppercorn steak. Was delicious! Their salad and bread was super tasty! Beautiful view of the south marina. Ordered some beachy/summer cocktail and it was really awful, super watered down- this was the only bad thing. Service was friendly and nice!

View of harbor from outside table.

I came here for a fish fry just after Memorial Day and the outdoor seating weather was perfect for my pup. The patio overlooks Lake Superior, with a few buildings across the street blocking a bit of the view. It's a nice downtown spot so there are plenty of people out and about walking by the patio. I typically prefer a traditional Old Fashioned, but when in super northern Wisconsin, do as they do. I got a Wisconsin Old Fashioned and it was great. I even ordered a second one! The veggie dumpling soup was beyond my expectations -- I would have just eaten a bunch of bowls of that all night if I hadn't been set on fish fry. I got the Lake Superior Whitefish fry (Lake Superior was right across the street, how could I not?), which was just ok. The sides were great - french fries and green beans are a Wisconsin match made in heaven. The fish was alright, a bit fishier than I'm used to but that just might be a Lake Superior whitefish thing? Still, I found about 6 bones in the fish fry and I've never had that issue at a restaurant fish fry before. I usually give a few bites to my dog but was nervous on this one. So, overall a great experience and a fun place to stop by. I'd recommend checking them out.

I wish I remembered the name of our server because she was so attentive while practically running the front of house by herself, I wish I could give her a specific shout out. The restaurant itself is a classic small town tavern with the dark wood bar, comfy booths, and a gorgeous painted tin ceiling. The food was also pretty good - the cheese curds are a MUST get. The rest of the food was slightly too salty and the fish was just a tad dry but the tartar sauce and coleslaw were both to die for and the fries were fantastic. Overall we enjoyed our time here and would definitely go back.

I was expecting Lorelei to walk into reception area at any moment with a cup of coffee. Foods are excellent We had 5 course tasting menu that way we can taste most of the foods. Fortunately This is a very fine dining with moderate portion not giant. The highlights are definitely: Caesar salad - made old fashioned way you can taste the anchovy Mushroom soup - almost like French onion soup but mushroom and without overwhelming cheese on top. It's so nice and light. Perfect start to a meal seafood ravioli served with salmon - ravioli is definitely the star . The salmon is just some back up dancer. That Ravioli is magic. Umami bomb definitely taste the ocean (in a good way) and the butter and all the good things in life. For desert - the berry cobbler is special of the day and it is just phenomenal. All great texture are there. Chewy crust. Explosive berry flavors à la mode. After dinner. You can hang out at the porch there's swing. Nice chairs overlook the lake. Next time we should probl stay here

Made a lame excuse that some how they didn't have the reservation ( though they had our confirmation numbers, names, contact info). Scrambling now to try to find accommodations which is impossible. Others coming to the same wedding also got the call. Some shenanigans are in place. Do not trust this place! Look elsewhere! Too bad for them that we all planned to gamble and eat and drink and merry there. Shame on them! I had to give one star to post, but they deserve no stars.

I was a little disappointed that they were out of the beverage I chose and also the meal that I was hoping to get, so if you eat here make sure to be flexible. When we were there it was a local prom so it had a few tables full but not much as wasn't peak tourist time yet. I had ordered the fettuccine alfredo and it was fine, didn't wow me but was edible - the breadstick really didn't have much flavor. My fiance had the prime rib and felt kind of the same as I did, nothing too crazy about it but fine. The chef did come by and check on us which I appreciated. One complaint was that the bartender got my fiance's beer and instead of bringing it to the table he let it sit on the ledge near the salad bar. We could see his drink just sitting there for awhile and then eventually he brought it over. But anyways, salad bar was nice - people were kind, prices were fair, just nothing extremely memorable unfortunately.
