My family and I touched and played with the kittens through the cage, as any person would. About 5 minutes after touching and playing with the kittens, the store employee advised us that the kittens have ringworm. I am very concerned that my family and pets will end up with ringworm now as it is very contagious. There was no sign or anything on the cage to warn people to not tough these cats or that they have ringworm. I can't understand why a pet store would have cats out in the open for public to touch/pet that have ringworm! The employees couldn't have cared less either.

This store has something other pet supply stores just don't have: AMAZING staff!…read moreVictoria and Halley are the reason I don't go to the SLIGHTLY cheaper stores like Walmart, PetCo or PetsMart, because even though some of the prices might be a little cheaper at those other stores, you can't buy the amazing service, love for animals or the competent recommendations that you get from Victoria and Halley! I first started going to Lazy Creek when my husband and I started dating over 14yrs ago and he lived just a couple miles away, but after we moved to Gilbert (actually closer to Lexington), I started getting our pet supplies from stores in Lexington on my way home from work. It wasn't until I was running errands in Batesburg and stopped back in Lazy Creek that I met the wonderful ladies who have been keeping this hometown store running the last few years. After seeing their love for animals and genuine kindness towards their customers, I started making biweekly trips to Batesburg again JUST to buy supplies from these wonderful people! The products are great quality too. When a distributor was no longer going to carry the Colorado Hemp Honey that I give my elderly dachshund for his arthritis pains each night, Victoria found one so that they could continue to provide such a great product for us (their loyal customers)! I know it would've been MUCH easy for her to just stop carrying it, but she knew that I really needed it for my 18yr old pup. I can't thank her and Halley enough for the years of blood, sweat and tears they've put into providing the BEST for those of us who live in this rural area. Stop by and see these wonderful ladies when you need anything for your 'furbabies'!

This review is based of the grooming salon…read more I scheduled an appointment online with Hannah R. for a quick wash and brush for my dog. When I arrived, the demeanor of the person at the front desk felt off right away. There was no one else waiting, but I wasn't greeted in a friendly or welcoming manner. I asked who Hannah R. was, and the woman at the front desk pointed at herself in a rude, dismissive way. I then explained that I had an appointment and asked if the estimated time of 1-2 hours was accurate. Her response was, "That's just what corporate thinks we can do. I'm overbooked--he'll be my last one and will take 3-4 hours." That completely defeats the purpose of scheduling an appointment and directly contradicts the information on your website. She didn't smile once or make any effort to be friendly--it honestly seemed like she hated being there. Given her attitude, and after seeing reports and videos online about dogs being mistreated at grooming salons, I didn't feel safe leaving my dog. I told her I wanted to cancel the appointment, and she clearly didn't care at all.
