I had the opportunity to meet my very first "Kevin". the hours of operation on Apple Maps state the hours 7 am-9 pm. I approached the store and an employee was opening the doors (so I thought) so I asked him what time they opened and he said 9 am. Since it was 8:30 am, I suggested they should change the times on Apple Maps. I told him it stated 7am- he said..."I doubt that"... This is so stupid to even report so I'm not going any further, but the employee's rudeness and shitty attitude towards recommendations are so unnecessary. "Kevin", take pride in where you work!!! Take time to make things better as he responded..."its not my job"

Employee from PetSmart harassing me and attacking me after I left a one star review

After leaving my review months ago I now am being harassed by the employee at the Lexington Pet Smart on Yelp. Leaving me rude messages calling me a Karen. I am very happy o took a picture of the message before this man erased it. I can't find it anywhere. Might call corporate. It's ridiculous that now I am being harassed after commenting on how bad they were.

    Pet's Mart Cutting My Dog

My dog was groomed here and when she got home she was crying, itching, and acting strange. Come to find out after 2 days of her being restless and whining like she was in pain, there was/is a huge cut on her. We had to take her to the vet and they confirmed it is a very bad razor burn. Pets Mart failed to inform us on this. The groomer (Candy) says she "doesn't know how that could have happened", yet I find that to be very false because there is a huge cut on her that you can visibly see in the picture and I doubt my dog did not squeal/jump when the groomer cut/burnt her. My dog has been not stop whining and in a lot of pain from what the groomer did to her. It's obvious the groomers want to protect their names and just act clueless. DO NOT trust Pets Mart to groom your animals as they are very unqualified to do so. I've seen multiple other negative reviews about Pets Mart Grooming but nothing as bad as what my dog had to go through. The groomers should not be trusted with your animals whatsoever!!!! Very careless and unprofessional behavior.

Diesel Dog had a spa day! He looks fabulous!

There isn't a group of people that loves animals more than this team. They truly care about animal safety and health over vanity.

Good enough to buy stuff here and not at Wally World. Just the prices are high unless things are on sale.

At that point, I had pretty reliably taught her to sit, stay, and come. What I really needed was on & off leash heel, lie down, and for her to do all of the aforementioned with distractions. I've had my dog since she was 7 weeks old, she is pure-bred pedigreed Labrador Retriever, sweet tempered and quite bright. No behavioral issues! When I came to pick her up after two weeks, she had learned NO additional skills! She would not heel or lie down, and would not come to me when distracted. I return her to the trainer, and expressed my disappointment, that my $3000 was essentially spent on dog sitting. She took my dog back for an another full week at no additional charge. Afterwards she told me that she received NOTHING from her boss for doing this (the franchise owner) and took my dog back simply because she did not want me to be dissatisfied. She made some progress in that final week, but we still have a loooong way to go. I do not fault the trainer! She did her best and took my dog on for an additional week for free. The company is a franchise. She shared with me that the owner is in Greenville, he is not even a dog trainer (she described him as a businessman), and she has never met him. She also shared that she JUST QUIT! Her issue was that 2 weeks is not enough time to train a dog to do all of this things that they advertise. Customers were regularly upset when their expectations weren't met. It takes at least 4-5 weeks to accomplish good on-leash results, let alone off leash. I feel like "Off-Leash" over promised knowing that they would likely underperform. The franchisee relies on internet marketing, and a slick phone call/email/text sales pitch. Perhaps the other training service are good, because the trainer that I met seemed excellent - but with the 2 week board and train, the trainers are set up to fail. I wouldn't call it a "scam" but from my experience, and that of others I have talked with since then, you are VERY unlikely to be satisfied. There are other operations right here in Lexington that will do board and train for 4-5 weeks, charge about the same, and not make any "off leash promises". That seems much more realistic and honest. Buyer beware!!!

First off, Richard is a passionate and talented man, it's easy to see from the moment you meet him; Richard does what he loves. Second, he speaks dog... like direct communication, but what's cool is before I knew it, I was communicating with my babies even better. He was teaching me to talk to the dogs the whole time and I had no clue. Third, he inspired me! It is not often you meet somebody with the courage to walk away from every comfort they know to pursue something they love. Richard listened to what I wanted to do, I wanted to strengthen the bond between myself and the dogs. I already see a difference, they do too. I've worked with several trainers in the past and never felt a comfortable, or confident connection and neither did my dogs. I don't know who's more excited about our next lesson, me or the dogs. I can tell you there's more to come. If you want to get to know your dogs better and really strengthen that bond, call Richard. I assure you; you won't have any regrets.

I would still make the almost 3 hour trip from coastal SC to Lexington if needed. Dr. Macauley is absolutely wonderful! She is very knowledgeable and delivers state-of-the-art care. During our time in Columbia we spent weekends at our primary residence in coastal SC and had to take the pups at varying times to a 24 -hour veterinary center when they became ill. Every single time, Dr. Macauley called us to follow up! She even called us last year when our dear Bailey had to have a splenectomy for an enlarging tumor which was very suspicious for a malignancy and we had already moved away! Dr. Macauley followed up with us and comforted us as the we awaited the final pathology. Our heartache turned to joy when Bailey did well post-op and then pathology report showed no malignancy. She called us and rejoiced with us. Her clinic was always willing to work us in when needed. We so miss the wonderful care she provided to our dear pups and, if needed, will travel back to Lexington in the future. I am a physician myself and very particular about the care our pets receive.
