All of the…read morefranchises have different owners, but i've always felt like there was consistency across the locations that I was comfortable knowing the service and products I would get whenever walking in. Moving to Chapin, I was pleasantly shocked that there was a Woof Gang right in town. We love it and our big 120+ lb baby loves it too. We don't do regular grooming, he doesn't need it because of the breed and double coat, but every 3 months or so, we'll take him in for a deshedding appointment and they always do a great job. The price is a little higher than what I've heard from other places around here, but to us it's worth it for the convenience of Woof Gang being so close, clean and accommodating. Would highly recommend.

This was my second time bringing my 8lb Maltese to this business, and unfortunately, it will be my…read morelast. While the missed appointment ultimately resulted from my own scheduling error, no effort was made by the shop to contact me on the day of the appointment--no phone call, no text, and no email. The only indication that there was an issue was a $40 charge that appeared on my credit card statement. When I called to inquire about this unexpected charge, I was told it was their policy for missed appointments. When I asked to speak with a manager or owner, I was informed they were unavailable. I rescheduled my dog's appointment and was told management would follow up, but I never received any communication from them. At the time of pickup from the rescheduled appointment, the manager was finally available to address the matter. The interaction was completely unprovoked yet notably discourteous and dismissive. I was informed that the total would be $80 for grooming and the $40 missed appointment fee, would not be waived or refunded. The manager then added, without any prompting on my part, that there were 17 other dogs on a waiting list. It is also important to note that point-of-sale systems such as Clover typically require clear consent to store card information and authorize future charges, especially for fees assessed in the customer's absence. No such authorization was disclosed to me, nor did I sign any document permitting this type of charge. The combination of poor communication, rigid policy enforcement, and a dismissive attitude toward the customer is deeply concerning. I previously used Kane Family Pet Grooming, who provided better quality grooming at a lower price and consistently demonstrated integrity and effective communication. They will be missed. Unless there is a significant change in culture and customer service at this business, I cannot in good conscience recommend it to others.

My family and I touched and played with the kittens through the cage, as any person would. About 5 minutes after touching and playing with the kittens, the store employee advised us that the kittens have ringworm. I am very concerned that my family and pets will end up with ringworm now as it is very contagious. There was no sign or anything on the cage to warn people to not tough these cats or that they have ringworm. I can't understand why a pet store would have cats out in the open for public to touch/pet that have ringworm! The employees couldn't have cared less either.

This store has something other pet supply stores just don't have: AMAZING staff!…read moreVictoria and Halley are the reason I don't go to the SLIGHTLY cheaper stores like Walmart, PetCo or PetsMart, because even though some of the prices might be a little cheaper at those other stores, you can't buy the amazing service, love for animals or the competent recommendations that you get from Victoria and Halley! I first started going to Lazy Creek when my husband and I started dating over 14yrs ago and he lived just a couple miles away, but after we moved to Gilbert (actually closer to Lexington), I started getting our pet supplies from stores in Lexington on my way home from work. It wasn't until I was running errands in Batesburg and stopped back in Lazy Creek that I met the wonderful ladies who have been keeping this hometown store running the last few years. After seeing their love for animals and genuine kindness towards their customers, I started making biweekly trips to Batesburg again JUST to buy supplies from these wonderful people! The products are great quality too. When a distributor was no longer going to carry the Colorado Hemp Honey that I give my elderly dachshund for his arthritis pains each night, Victoria found one so that they could continue to provide such a great product for us (their loyal customers)! I know it would've been MUCH easy for her to just stop carrying it, but she knew that I really needed it for my 18yr old pup. I can't thank her and Halley enough for the years of blood, sweat and tears they've put into providing the BEST for those of us who live in this rural area.
