If you're looking for an HVAC company that will provide you with professional service at a…read morereasonable price, I strongly recommend Stuart Heating & Cooling in Prescott. Al's team is experienced and proficient. For almost two years, we tried to find an HVAC company that could replace our aging oil-fired furnace with a new heat pump. In all, we contacted nine different HVAC companies (from Spencerville to Kingston), but none of them really impressed us with their knowledge or their commitment, and we were reluctant to hire any of them to install a heat pump in our century-old home. An associate of my wife's family recommended Stuart Heating & Cooling in Prescott, so I sent a message to Al Stuart, the owner of the company and he came to our house in early May 2024. After inspecting the oil-fired furnace and the ductwork that we had in place, he spoke confidently about the sizing of the new heat pump and the modifications (trunk line, cold air returns & branch runs) that would be required to ensure that the heat pump functioned properly in our century-old home. I was impressed. Al sent me a detailed quote the very next day and, compared to the estimates that I'd received in the last two years, I'd say that the price he quoted for the job was very reasonable. So, we agreed on an install date (less than 3 weeks later). And now we have a cold climate heat pump installed in our basement. And we are very happy. If you are looking for professional HVAC service, you need to contact Stuart Heating & Cooling in Prescott. You will not be disappointed. stuartheating@gmail.com. (613) 925-3147

Charged $150 to show up and $239 to do what was the only thing needed a filter, screen, and nozzle. After the boiler immediately stopped running they called the usual boiler professional who was familiar with system who had to redo the yearly maintenance they had done and stated there was no need for relief valve or pressure tank. The person renting is a single mother with 3 young kids who would sign off on anything they recommended. The company would not budge an inch on their over inflated bill. I would never recommend this company!

Continued Saga with E&V Energy. As previously mentioned, E&V charged us $600,00 to install a…read morethermostat. After the thermostat was installed, it still did not operate correctly. I called E&V to tell them the thermostat they installed 30 days ago was not working properly, and I was told by the service department and the overall manager that the owner BANNED us from service due to me sending a letter to the Attorney General asking for help due to the overprice of $600.00 to install the thermostat. We had another HVAC Company come and check the thermostat. The thermostat was bad, due to the E&V Technician wiring the thermostat wrong, and improperly rearranged the wiring from the thermostat at the furnace. I called E&V back to tell them what the problem was. Again, they said we were banned from service and assistance. Once again I submitted an update to the Attorney General asking for assistance in getting a refund. By the way, the HVAC Company only charged us only $179.00 for installing the new thermostat and fix the wiring at the furnace.
