The cabin is difficult to find on GPS maps, but they have located it correctly and delivered firewood to exactly the spot we specified on the lot. The quality of their firewood is excellent. The deliver a mixture of oak, eucalyptus and some manzanita logs, which are highly prized for their high BTU content. You should note that since manzanita is VERY dense it can be difficult to ignite and keep going until you have a hot bed of coals. Then, it's great. For those not familiar with this wood, its about half again as dense as oak and the logs are mostly bright orange heartwood, some mixed with tan sapwood.

Bought more firewood from Bear City for this coming winter. Still have some firewood left over…read morefrom last year that my wife and I will be burning tonight in anticipation of the rain. Both times the staff members of Bear City have been nice, prompt, and very attentive. The $60 1/4 cord of firewood we bought last year (see previous review) Lasted us for the late winter, a camping trip, and still had some left over. Since we been having late winters and good rain in May plus planned camping trips we plan to buy an additional 1/8 cord for $35. My wife and I are planning to come back to Bear City for next season. NOTE TO NEW WOOD BURNING PEOPLE AND BULK BUYERS: Buy early no matter where you go. Place the firewood on a firewood rack preferable in a location with lots of sun and wind. Cover firewood with a rack cover before it rains. You will have a nice fire at wintertime.

Outstanding Professional Tree Service - Highly Recommend!…read more We recently hired this company for tree cutting services and couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, they were extremely professional and knowledgeable. Communication was prompt and crystal clear every step of the way. Oscar came out the same day we reached out to inspect our property. He provided clear recommendations to help us meet our fire violation requirements, plus thoughtful suggestions on how to better fireproof the property going forward -- all without any pressure or upselling. It never felt like we were being sold to, which we really appreciated. This is a trustworthy company that truly cares about doing the job right and great value. We'll definitely be using them again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone needing tree services!
