Lit Firewood has been highly reliable and responsible in the deliveries it has made to our cabin on North Shore of Big Bear Lake. The cabin is difficult to find on GPS maps, but they have located it correctly and delivered firewood to exactly the spot we specified on the lot. The quality of their firewood is excellent. The deliver a mixture of oak, eucalyptus and some manzanita logs, which are highly prized for their high BTU content. You should note that since manzanita is VERY dense it can be difficult to ignite and keep going until you have a hot bed of coals. Then, it's great. For those not familiar with this wood, its about half again as dense as oak and the logs are mostly bright orange heartwood, some mixed with tan sapwood. read more

Sparky was very down to earth and such a big help. I would hire him for my own company. This place is run like family. I will return and would recommend to my own friends and family. They accept credit cards--a good thing to note. The prices are more than fair. Very happy to have stumbled upon this little gem. Cheers read more

Jen is the best! Pricing seems fair, but I'm new to the area so don't speak from a lit of experience.

Great place, very high quality wood! I used the wood in my Solo Stove and as you can see it burns very well. The secondary combustion worked great because the wood was so dry and the fire could get really hot. read more

Fantastic! I ordered last week for a scheduled Monday the 18th delivery, Jenn, Abe, and the staff were polite and had great communication from the time I first messaged them. They delivered when they said they would, delivered good quality wood in the quantity ordered. There was some confusion on what was ordered and what was delivered, they were quick to address it, and quick to correct it with an equitable solution. I look forward to supporting local and will continue to use Lit for my future firewood needs. You can't go wrong with this family owned business!! Alan H. read more

Right on the corner and accessible! We rolled up to support this small business when we found out that we had a fire pit at our spot for the weekend. The person helping us let me know what was needed for an outdoor fire pit. She was really knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. Even loaded up the bundle into our car! I'd highly recommend coming here and supporting their business! read more

This place is great, started with a wheelbarrow full but I needed more so they delivered half a cord, really good wood, very happy!

If you need any firewood, this is the place to go to. Abe was totally awesome and helpful with our needs as we are part time owners who know nothing what it is like for those that live up here when the winter comes. We will be using our wood stove more often and needed to get firewood for it and coming across this place was a godsend. They are so friendly and helpful and we will be always using them from now on. Thanks Abe ! read more

Great when they are actually there during business hours! I went there and bought a load of firewood without issue. It was handy to drive up and have them load it into the car for me. However, I returned to get more wood on two occasions during business hours (once even with the "open" sign lit up , for bonus irony) and no one was there. We knocked on the door, walked to the back to see if anyone was around - no one. read more

Figure I'd order some firewood before winter hit. Made a good choice by calling Lit Firewood. Jen was very organized and gave me all the options. Even explained the different kinds of wood in my mixed half cord. Prompt service and great pricing. Highly recommend them! read more

I really appreciated all the help that Jenn gave me in deciding what type of wood would be the best for me to give as a gift to a friend in Big Bear Lake. She remembered me from last year and made some suggestions that will help me save money, next year. When my friend received the wood, she was very impressed, not only with the quality of the wood, but also with the helpfulness of the people who delivered it and stacked it. I give them the highest recommendation! read more

I am so happy with this whole experience. I have ordered firewood from several different people/companies over the years and it has always been a hassle and disappointment...to say the least! Not anymore!!!! I have found my "go-to" for firewood. Lit Firewood called me back within 24 hours of leaving a message. Jennifer, (I believe that's her name) took my order. She was very friendly and professional. They called me on the day it was supposed to be delivered to let me know they would be at my house in about 20 minutes...and 20 minutes later they arrived! The two guys who delivered the wood were also super friendly and nice guys. They had me take a look at the wood to make sure it was what I wanted BEFORE they dumped it out. They were quick and careful where they dumped it and they didn't leave a gigantic mess in my driveway. The wood is great! Mixed cord. Seasoned. Uniform sizes. No little tiny branches or gigantic tree trunks like I have gotten in past experiences. And the price is right! (I always order early...idk if that makes a difference). I know it is just firewood, but I am just so happy about this whole experience. I can't tell you the headaches I have had in the past just trying to get someone to call me back...or do what they were supposed to do. Lit Firewood blows them all out of the water. I HIGHLY recommend them!!! read more

A couple of years ago I was praising a firewood company and sadly like many businesses up here one day a company is great and then all of a sudden they decide they do not have to be. So we called lit firewood and so glad we got to know them. I have been following them on Facebook and all the reviews have been incredible, how they respond back to clients is always impressive, and now we have ordered from them and I don't think we will ever order from anyone else again. Thank you Jenn, for knowing How to treat a customer. We will be recommending you to all of our clients. One final note, I am pretty sure what they delivered is more than a cord, so they are also very generous. read more

Moved up here about a year ago full time and started out with the rookie mistake of buying dinky piles from convenient stores. Fast forward a couple months into livin, my neighbor sold his cabin and bequeathed me a little over a full cord of wood. Pretty much consumed all of it up to this point and decided I'd need to investigate spots to buy serious. Decided to roll buy Lit, grabbed a small offering and get some prices on serious future purchase. Pulled up and was greeted with the lot workers who provided stellar service. Super friendly chaps and they offered to load the wood into my car. I then proceeded inside to make payment and inquire about a larger substantial amount of wood to be purchased in the future. Marvelous selection of wood options available in various sizes. 5.0 - Customer service was excellent and solid mix of wood. Will return. read more

Lit firewood was the first firewood delivery company in Big Bear to deliver a full cord firewood. For over 5 seasons I have received cords that were 50-75% of a cord. Lit came through with a full cord and on top of that it was truly all hardwood. Thanks Lit for being a reputable source. read more

Friendly, family-run firewood operation with great prices! You'll get the standard half-'n'-half of softwood/hardwood. All logs are indoor-stored, well-seasoned, and dry. Their hardwoods are dense, chunky, fragrant, and very-long-burning. read more

If you are looking for great service and a great deal on Firewood, look no FURTHER! I met the two brothers who own this small business and they made me feel at home. If you are staying in Big Bear long term, I suggest you call them ASAP to have them delivery to your house. I bought the $40 bundle of mixed firewood and will never buy firewood at store ever again. The mix was perfect. It had starter wood which is soft and lighter, mixed with hard wood that burns forever! I will be coming here anytime I need wood. I put in an order for them to deliver to the house which also seems like a great deal. read more

Great customer service! Jenn was very nice and accommodating with our scheduled delivery.

Super nice family run local business! Picked up 1/4 cord for the holidays. Nice and dry, i for a mix of pine and avocado, everything burned great. Next year we will get a full cord and schedule delivery much earlier! Other places in town charge twice as much! I will return to Lit again! read more

My firewood delivery went smoothly and as promised was a mix of pine, avocado and eucalyptus. It was easy to separate the faster burning lighter colored pine from the rest. 1/2 cord was $170 and placed exactly where I wanted it. If you wish to have them stack it, they can send someone for an extra fee. I just found that this was the best time to have able bodied younger nephews and nieces to come and stack it. read more
