Lit Firewood has been highly reliable and responsible in the deliveries it has made to our cabin on North Shore of Big Bear Lake. The cabin is difficult to find on GPS maps, but they have located it correctly and delivered firewood to exactly the spot we specified on the lot. The quality of their firewood is excellent. The deliver a mixture of oak, eucalyptus and some manzanita logs, which are highly prized for their high BTU content. You should note that since manzanita is VERY dense it can be difficult to ignite and keep going until you have a hot bed of coals. Then, it's great. For those not familiar with this wood, its about half again as dense as oak and the logs are mostly bright orange heartwood, some mixed with tan sapwood. read more

Great when they are actually there during business hours! I went there and bought a load of firewood without issue. It was handy to drive up and have them load it into the car for me. However, I returned to get more wood on two occasions during business hours (once even with the "open" sign lit up , for bonus irony) and no one was there. I am so happy with this whole experience. I have ordered firewood from several different people/companies over the years and it has always been a hassle and disappointment...to say the least! Not anymore!!!! I have found my "go-to" for firewood. Lit Firewood called me back within 24 hours of leaving a message. Jennifer, (I believe that's her name) took my order. She was very friendly and professional. They called me on the day it was supposed to be delivered to let me know they would be at my house in about 20 minutes...and 20 minutes later they arrived! The two guys who delivered the wood were also super friendly and nice guys. They had me take a look at the wood to make sure it was what I wanted BEFORE they dumped it out. They were quick and careful where they dumped it and they didn't leave a gigantic mess in my driveway. The wood is great! Mixed cord. Seasoned. Uniform sizes. No little tiny branches or gigantic tree trunks like I have gotten in past experiences. And the price is right! (I always order early...idk if that makes a difference). Fast forward a couple months into livin, my neighbor sold his cabin and bequeathed me a little over a full cord of wood. My firewood delivery went smoothly and as promised was a mix of pine, avocado and eucalyptus. It was easy to separate the faster burning lighter colored pine from the rest. 1/2 cord was $170 and placed exactly where I wanted it. If you wish to have them stack it, they can send someone for an extra fee. I just found that this was the best time to have able bodied younger nephews and nieces to come and stack it. read more
