Being Chinese, I do not count breaded chicken balls as authentic Chinese food, so I was happily surprised to find that the Cunard has a lot of authentic dishes on their menu, in addition to the North American Chinese dishes that non-Asians seem to like. My husband and I tried the beef noodle chow fun and beef with onion and ginger dishes. They were awesome. We asked for hot sauce, and got Sriracha (yum) but they also pulled out their personal stash of delicious black bean chili oil just because we asked (awesome!) We also tried the egg rolls, but I was not too impressed with those. They don't seem homemade (those have a paper-thin crispy skin), but they are the kind you can buy at Sobeys with the thick bubbly skin. (yuck). Other than that, I will definitely return for more noodles and try some of their pineapple (bolo) dishes. Thank you for satisfying my desperate need for real Cantonese food!!!

My fave was the chicken tikka masala with the palek paneer in a close second. The shrimp curry was good but we only ordered mild - we should have gone with the medium for an extra kick. The flavors were fragrant and vibrant- all very fresh tasting. Food came out very quickly and service was excellent. We ordered extra naan to soak up every last bit of curry sauce (duh ) and it came out within minutes. Looking forward to coming back and trying some other options on the menu. It is an old fashioned fish restaurant - order your food at the counter, go take a seat, and your order will be delivered by the friendly cashier on a plastic cafeteria tray. The food itself is served in a cardboard container. The fries were fantastic and the fish was well cooked and tasty. The fish pieces were not large (I would say small - medium), but the meal was the perfect size for me. I ate it all and was full but not overfull. When I am in the area again, I will most definitely visit again. They know how to cook their food!
