Being Chinese, I do not count breaded chicken balls as authentic Chinese food, so I was happily surprised to find that the Cunard has a lot of authentic dishes on their menu, in addition to the North American Chinese dishes that non-Asians seem to like. My husband and I tried the beef noodle chow fun and beef with onion and ginger dishes. They were awesome. We asked for hot sauce, and got Sriracha (yum) but they also pulled out their personal stash of delicious black bean chili oil just because we asked (awesome!) We also tried the egg rolls, but I was not too impressed with those. They don't seem homemade (those have a paper-thin crispy skin), but they are the kind you can buy at Sobeys with the thick bubbly skin. (yuck). Other than that, I will definitely return for more noodles and try some of their pineapple (bolo) dishes. Thank you for satisfying my desperate need for real Cantonese food!!!

Egg roll, rice, chicken balls, and chicken chow mein. The food was really good. You could tell it was fresh and was not overspiced or overcomplicated - it was simply great Chinese food. I also had the pleasure of meeting Winnie, who cooked our food and I am told is there everyday running the show. She is absolutely great; what a sweet lady. That said, the food is tasty and they cook it so the stir fried vegetables come out with the right crunch! Every dish was distinct in flavor and included generous portions of vegetables, the latter being important for our group. The host is gracious and friendly and manages the restaurant pretty much by herself without anyone feeling ignored!
