I was there last night, 4 days before Christmas. Crowded with people shopping, and multiple sales people on hand who asked me if they could assist, all cheerful. One young sales girl suggested Alex & Ani bracelets and I bought 3 for gifts. (THANK YOU!) My only complaint is she would not sell me the ones that she was wearing on her wrist. (Ha!) She was very helpful in spite of not having her own shopping done because she was working every day. One of the ladies at the counter who explained to me what each pendant on the bracelet meant looked incredibly sad. I wanted to give her a hug and tell her whatever it is, this too shall pass, but she was putting on a very stoic front to be professional, and I did not want to embarrass her. We don't know everyone's struggles so I will pray that she will work through this difficult time with what she is dealing with, and will ultimately find peace. Although I have never used the florist services, based on my total experience in the rest of the store, I am surprised at some of the bad reviews. I can only say I have not been disappointed here, but I also understand that sometimes a person can have a bad day, and one time does not make a trend; I would not give a bad a review as a result. Dont' get me wrong, I like hand-made cards as much as the next cat, but no one seems to know me like Fresh Ink (a line carried by most Hallmark's) knows me. Emotionally. Comedically. I would secretely love to meet the team of writers who come up with their witty and ridiculous cards. The last time I went in, I had a panic attack thinking they had limited their Fresh Ink selection, but calmed down when I found the rest on the bottom shelf. Three cards will run you around $8, though that doesn't include their oversized cards, ones with sound and the highly embellished ones. If you're looking for a deal, the back right corner of the store has clearance from 25-90% off. I've found thank you notes, mugs and beautiful photo frames for excellent prices on these wonderful shelves. To round out a pretty awesome store, the staff at this location is always friendly and happy to help me. Everyone loves getting mail. Especially when it's a card with a sombrero-clad chihuahua on the front....
