I know there is a stigma around Five Below's being low stocked, and I was truly expecting not to find any Halloween decor our given it was in august when we went, but they had a lot of things already stocked on the shelves! Their selection this year was by far so much better than last year and given their price point is so affordable, it was amazing! After filling our cart with everything we wanted to take home, we were helped at self checkout by the sweetest lady! Most of the time people don't speak to you, but she made the experience great by maintaining convo with us! She was super personable! Basically, the store is just like a dollar store (which is no longer a dollar) but a lot more expensive. Prices start at $5 and go up. We saw a float for the pool priced at $25. I went to Amazon and found something similar for much less. So I am not impressed by supposed savings. The store itself was the usual chaos and mess that you find in a dollar store. And of course, there was only one cashier who was overwhelmed and had no time to clean up the aisles. I won't say that I would never return because who knows what the kid may want in the future, but for me, I am not in a hurry to return.

Went home and immediately cut up one, discovering they were light brown inside. Cut up the 2nd, same color as well. 3rd and last peach was okay, half was okay peach color, took a bite or two, but bland, lost excitement. Very upsetting to buy at regular price. Yes, they are not in season, but the manager should have done their due diligence and price appropriately. Out of season equals to discount, seems fair for customers. Buyer beware situation.

The store is average size and stocked with average Dollar Store items. It's a great place to stop for that missing dish soap, toilet bowl cleaner or paper towels. The staff is always helpful and ready to greet you. Never a line, you can get in and out quick and with change left in your pocket.

Got clothes, snacks, and yes we got water. They have plenty of registers but only one was open with a actual teller. Also plenty of self-check out which I'm not a huge fan of. If I have one or two items sure I'll use it. But if I have a ton of stuff., no way i'm going to use self-check out. I still love Target though.

The only defensive I can say for them is they have a lot of stuff- to the point they really need more space to organize it all. But the floors are usually sticky and the check-stands are usually so cluttered they cannot see customers or be seen by them-- aside from the fact they can't see-or ignore, the people walking out of the store without paying for merchandise! This place is lacking in many areas and I'm not sure how they are still open. TWO blocks away, ON THE SAME STREET, there is another Dollar General that recently opened that is bigger, much more organized, and much cleaner, with more parking. This is a no brainer... Same company, different franchise owner, and a much better location.
