I was fortunate in that I was not looking for anything specific other than a housewarming gift, and was able to resist the urge to pick up a decorative clock or some of those large candlestick bases that were strategically placed everywhere. Lilly's has some really nice home furnishings, decor, and even some garden items. It's overwhelming, really, but a perfect spot to spend some time and admire the beautiful things that can be yours once you make up your mind which beautiful thing you want. While there is no gas, there is plenty of vintage decor, such as glassware, frames, and furniture. Some of the furniture advantageously displays the other collection for which the shop is known: Chalk Paint and workshops for learning how to work with it. From what I saw and heard, it sounds pretty straightforward and much easier to work with than ordinary paint. The added bonus is that to get the paint, I won't have to drive to their location on the other side of Raleigh to get it. Unlike many shops of this kind, walking around without knocking something over is do-able. There is lots of light, thanks to the large windows, and wide enough aisles to view the painted and unpainted furniture, or check out the glassware, the antiques, or even the scarves or jewelry. It's a nice store, and an even nicer addition to downtown Apex. It'll be fun to watch the inventory change as the seasons change.

It's so cutie and welcoming. My son was happily playing with a block display (made to play with). We bought the blocks, a book about an old woman who swallowed a fly, a tempura paint marker set, earrings, and two boards as gifts. It was quite a haul. Small businesses are important and vital in our communities. We are so glad to pop in. I can safely say that nothing is the shop costs six pennies!

It's almost overwhelming when you first walk in and see all the rooms of this converted house each filled with beautiful items to decorate your home. Although the predominant theme is seasonal as is expected given the time of year, Sixpence also carries plenty of items that have no season: wind chimes, clocks, fragrant oils, general knickknacks including an extraordinary clock with a turn of the century look. At least one of the two people working on the day I was there must have been an owner as she was able to talk at length on each item and when the next shipment was due, but both went out of their way to make every guest who walked in, feel welcome. Both seemed proud of the store and it showed in their easy and down-to-earth interactions with their customers. I look forward to visiting this place again, if only to see if the seasonal slant of the merchandise gives way to the more timeless.

The owner Debby is super nice, we like the fact that she is very helpful when we asked for information then she let us browse around freely. We believe that the price is always goes with the value, to compare with some other vintage stores, it seemed that Gremlina is a little pricier, but Debby has put her heart and knowledge to picking up great pieces and curated her store very well so it worth it.

We wanted something that wasn't dated and would last. We have been thrilled with the products. We had a little issue at delivery, but Woody's made it right and even sent out someone to fix a scratch on one of the chairs. There was a special coloring design on the table top and they matched it on the chair seats and sideboard. With shortages this year it took longer than we would have liked but with COVID delays gave been difficult and in the end. We love all of our purchases.

This location is my go-to but unfortunately some of the staff is unhelpful. I won't use their names but they really don't know what they're doing or how to navigate the Kirkland's website and contact customer service on behalf of a customer. For example, I received a broken vase in the mail. Called customer service and they said if I brought it to the store, they would call them on my behalf and confirm the item was as I said it was received and they would send me a new one vs doing it from home, taking pictures and sending emails. Store associate tells me I have to send pictures and email to Kirkland's customer service. I tried to explain that I came in store to bypass all this but unfortunately I just ended up returning w/o replacement. Another example, a chair was discontinued but I saw similar chair w/ different material. Store associate continuously said that it's the same chair but looks different online but it doesn't make sense since they have two different item #'s??? Employees could use more training!
