I had always noticed food trucks in the area on Chatsworth near the closed-off strip with bistro lights along White Oak but never stopped by. Today, we finally did, and it's a charming little farmers market spanning about two blocks. Everyone seems friendly, the environment is safe, and it's kid-friendly. My boys were running around from station to station with their mom while I searched for something to eat. Unfortunately, we arrived as they were closing, but there are some interesting vendors offering a variety of items like jewelry, clothes, soaps, fragrances, baked goods, food, and gemstones. I'll have to return early on a Friday to try some of the food vendors, drinks, and desserts because some of them looked good. They are open every Friday from 6 pm to 10 pm, so be sure to check them out and show your support. A few more vendors and adding a DJ or some kid-friendly music might be a nice little touch, but they might already have that, but we arrived a bit late. OOOO 4 out of 5 Afros

Now, this farmers market was hopping with people. There's definitely a vibe and a sense of community! Lots of free parking and don't forget to bring your reusable bags. The delicious smells of the grilled and roasted meats are so enticing!! It made me so hungry! The sweets are so tempting and there's a variety to choose from! There are lots of food vendors but there could have been more farmers booths. Here's a tip: bring your own chair to sit and listen to some live music while you eat. I like the live music! This is one of the best ways to spend a Wednesday night in the San Fernando Valley! So, bring the whole family and join the fun!! I can't wait to go back!

They have vendors that include produce, nuts, eggs, bread, and dips and spreads (from Brothers products, which is my favorite and why I come), among hot foods like chicken and waffles, puppy's as, Thai food, jewelry, beauty products, clothes, etc. I'd say there are about 15 or so vendors. Like I said, I come here specifically for my middle eastern spreads/dips from Brothers Products. They have hummus, spicy hummus, labneh, zaatar labneh, spicy labneh, garlic spread, olive spreads, eggplant spread, stuffed grape leaves, spinach and artichoke spread, etc.....ALL SO yummy! My favorites are the traditional hummus and habanero hummus, as well as labneh-plain, zaatar, or spicy, and their eggplant and olive spreads :-p yum!!!

The market was small but packed with a little bit of everything. It's located in the back of the Westfield Fashion Square in the parking lot. I was in a rush after work because apparently I didn't realize it only goes from 2pm-6pm on Tuesdays. So, I rushed out the house at 5:20pm with my mom and made it just in time to fly through it in about 20 mins. Next time I'll spend a little more time hanging out and getting a closer look at some of the stuff I wanted to purchase. My mom picked up a few things like some honey and some fudge. I don't know if a lot of people attend because of the hours but my only suggestion would be, since it's on a Tuesday, extend the hours a little so people who work and get off at 5pm have enough time to get there and check it out during peak traffic hours. There's one organic stand that I frequent. Nice guy at the counter. I forgot the name of the farm, but they're the only ones with ORGANIC on their banner. They have the best yellow peaches, apricots, cherries, raisins, almonds, plums, etc. Always sweet. The only fruit that weren't sweet were their white peaches. Bad batch I guess? Other than that, yes it's a bit pricey, but the freshness and sweetness of their goods are well worth it. There's another stand that was selling cheap strawberries. $5 for 3 little crate things/1 box. So $5 for a box. They were the best tasting strawberries I've had in a long time. So good. Unfortunately they didn't have a banner or anything with their name on it so the next time I went, I didn't see that same lady, so I left without any strawberries.

When we got there, I was a little surprised how small it was. Not a lot of options as far as vendors. There were more goods for sale than produce, baked goods etc. No loaf of bread to be found! Kind of disappointing. It was really nice how they have all of these toys for kids to play with laid out on a mat under a tent. Hurray for shade! A lot of the toys were broken, but that didn't stop any of the kids from having fun. I also found it interesting that they had a petting zoo at a farmers market. Is that...sanitary? Overall, not my favorite market, but it is nice it's on Saturday!

Easy parking, family-friendly, and a genuinely enjoyable place to spend time. This is where I'd come for holiday shopping. We picked up some great finds, including their stylish market bags, ghee, and incredible baked goods. The sourdough sesame bagels were a standout. I also loved Sophie and Celine jewelry, created by Alexandra C. Preisz, Owner & Designer. The pieces were beautiful and so thoughtfully designed. I didn't take pictures that day. I'll definitely be back and take more because there was so much to see. I absolutely loved their clothing exchange program! You can take a piece of clothing and come back the next week with a new equal piece of clothing to contribute. What a great sustainability idea and I love an honor system program because I really believe people want to be honorable. Support local. This is exactly the kind of farmers market worth seeking out!

With an Eclectic mix of vendors covering everything from ready to eat Foods, produce, poultry, meats, cheeses, baked goods, clothing, jewelry, and more. Just be forewarned the Steep driveway that is taken to get to the Farmers Market can be daunting for people that are not used to driving in the canyon . Rest assure as long as your eyes are peeled and you're driving carefully and slowly you will be just fine. Luckily there are also volunteers that assist in directing traffic to let you know where to park. It's also kid friendly and has accessible restrooms.
