Mac and cheese
Jen J.

You can tell this location is working hard to improve. We had terrible service here a couple years ago--so bad we avoided it for over two years. Back then, the staff was disorganized, our order was wrong or missing, and one visit took nearly an hour just to get refunded. But recently, I gave it another shot and noticed a big difference. The staff was friendly, the food was fresh, and they got the order right. Huge improvement. That's why I came back again tonight, and I'm glad I did. My only complaint is the portion size of the sides. The mac and cheese was barely 3.4oz for almost $4 (w/ tax). For something that inexpensive to make, it should at least fill the cup. Small things like that really do matter, especially when other nearby spots are consistently packed while you guys struggle to bring business in. That said, I tried the blackened chicken tenders for the first time and they were delicious. Paired with mashed potatoes and gravy, it made for a satisfying meal under 500 calories. The rest of the family liked their food too, though they said the spicy chicken wasn't very spicy. Overall, I'm giving 4 stars for the clear improvement. Keep it up

The chicken we've gotten

I went through the drive food and order a simple 2 of the tenders combo. One of the combos had fries. I asked them to have them freshly made, and they said the chicken is pretty much freshly made and that they can do that for the fries I said that works. I took a bite of the fries when I left the parking lot and they were cold and soggy. I let it go because I have things I need to do. The tenders were so tough you couldn't even rip through them. They even forgot our sauces which they charge me and the receipt. Don't wanna come back here ever again. I love Popeyes but never this location again.

Dry, cold and extremely overcooked. More crust than chicken!

You have a 75% chance of getting cold dried out chicken. I stopped going except for lunch time ( in hopes of getting fresh chicken). Now you even get bad food at rush times. I really believe they fry the chicken multiple times just to rewarm it. The pics are from lunch.

Sounds like a pretty decent deal, right? Well, let's break that down. My steak was thin and small, and the quality wasn't great. The meat was tough. Like chuck steak. The asparagus side consisted of five small, wilted, sad-looking pieces. The first was so tough at the bottom that I gave up on the bottoms of the other four. Not exactly an impressive showing. My kid's steak was admittedly a little bigger but not thicker. I asked if mac and cheese was included as a side since I saw it listed on the sides menu. The server said yes. Then the bill came, and there was an extra $2 charge. I reminded her that she'd told me it was included. Her response? Yes, it was included in the sense that you could get it with the steak. It just cost extra. Bruh. I don't know what fairytale land that definition of "included" comes from, but in the real world, being available as an add-on is NOT the same thing as being included in the price. Between the tough steak, sad asparagus, and the confusion over what "included" means (apparently my fault in this lala land), this steak night didn't exactly leave me eager to ever come back.

It normally comes with their house sauce, but I added the house‑made ranch since people on Google were raving about it. If you choose any heat level, it defaults to Nashville style breading; Coop's Classic is reserved for kids meals or no‑heat tenders. They asked if I wanted to swap the fries for something else. I asked what counted as an even exchange, and the only option was coleslaw--which the Double Clucker already comes with--so that made no sense whatsoever. I stuck with the fries. Oddly, the meal doesn't include a drink, so I added an Oreo milkshake since that also had good reviews. The staff was very friendly, and the milkshake came out first and fast. They served it to my table in the empty dining room. Flavor was fine, but it didn't come with the cherry shown in the photos and included in the menu description. Worse yet, it was extremely watery--super runny, not cold, and definitely not "Frosty" as advertised. See my videos. Big disappointment. When the food arrived, the tender itself was great--moist and flavorful. The mild heat level barely registered for me, but the ranch dip was better than the house sauce dip. The coleslaw didn't do it for me. It lacked flavor, and the cabbage pieces were cut way too large. Lastly, the fries. Oh boy. Not refrigerator cold, but definitely cool. Not warm, not hot--just... cool. And ack. Overall, I can only recommend the tenders. They do sell them à la carte for $4 and change, and those are the only thing worth getting that I tried. The sides and the milkshake were just a huge letdown.

If a place has french fries, he's in. And I'd heard that Tony's was one of the best places to grab a burger in the area, so everybody wins here. I had the Juicy Tony and it was a solid burger. It's noted on the menu that is must be served medium rare, no exceptions - that's my preferred temperature anyway, so it was perfect for me. It was indeed juicy and tender. The cajun fries were a nice pairing. We enjoyed our experience overall. Was it a top notch, amazing burger? I wouldn't go that far, but it did its job and I'm happy we came and tried it out.
