Service is terrible!!! I pulled into the drive thru at 7pm on a Friday night and noticed there was an empty parking lot and nobody in the drive thru. I was greeted with "I'm gonna need a minute." Food at its best is really good, but on average it is just that. Chicken sandwich is in theory the best, but rarely lives up to its potential. The service is terrible...inattentive at best, they don't care about anything related to their work except what time they get off. Popeye's restaurant has definitely gone down! There are not enough words to describe. Food unavailable, short staffed and nonexistent customer service. Boxes sitting on the counters, like they just didn't get things put away. Told right away they were out of tenders and nuggets but had chicken and sandwiches. Ordered two spicy sandwiches and fries. Guy in back yells across the store, you gonna wait 8 minutes for patties. So we take a seat. 5 minutes later an older couple comes in, orders tenders and funny, they got em now. Learned they were also out of Cole slaw and tea. She gets her food after a few minutes and leaves. 15 minutes later we're still waiting. 23 minutes later we get told few more minutes, they are dropping fries. 25 minutes later we are leaving with COLD chicken sandwiches and fries. This is my second time coming to the Popeyes in Moline and it will be my last. Both times I've gone through the drive-thru and been told that they will bring my food out to me and asked me to go around and park in front. The first time I waited more than 20 minutes and this time I waited I didn't order anything special or unusual either time. This is completely unacceptable. I was given no warning that it would take more than a few minutes and anything more than 5 minutes at a fast food restaurant is completely unacceptable. I've never had any problems like this at the Davenport location and you can be sure I will only ever visit the Davenport one in the Quad City area again. read more

I had never been here before, and was excited because this area didn't have a Popeye's until a few years ago. The first time was pretty bad, but did have some redeeming qualities. My partner loved the chicken sandwich. Everything else was bad. They just kind of throw your cardboard box of breadcrumb (apparently chicken) tenders on a plastic jail plate and set it on the counter. They don't give you silverware, napkins, sauce or anything. You kinda just have to find them yourself. I guess they are supposed to be at another counter, but they pretty much had a non-existent stock of all utensils. Hell, they didn't even have straws for our drink. BUT- because my man liked the sandwich, I thought, "okay maybe it's just an off day", and gave them a pass for the time. Today, he wanted that same sandwich before we went shopping and we agreed this would be a chance for them to "redeem" themselves. Oh, hell no. If the first time was an "F" or a "D", this was an "F-". They were literally OUT OF C:HICKEN. We wanted a chicken sandwich and I wanted nuggets and we were told "they won't be thawed at least for another 1 1/2 hours. WTF??? Apparently, the night shift "forgot" to set out the food for the next day the night before before close... like, how does that happen? Who is the manager on duty that's supposed to double check to make sure their employees are actually completing their closing duties?! I get it, no one likes working fast food. I don't like to complain because I have worked jobs like that and understand how depressing the environment can be. But DO NOT GO HERE. This place needs to be shut down and have someone come in from corporate to have a training seminar. There either is such a high turnover rate that no one actually gets trained right, OR the management there is just shit and that person doesn't care about the quality of the restaurant.
