So the seats seemed limited. The chicken tenders were average. Not bad and I would eat it again but I like more flavor. The red beans and rice were ok and the coleslaw was well coleslaw. I had a craving for Fried Chicken. Where to go? Where to go? I'll don't think you'll ever see me inside a KFC again. While I always enjoyed the Colonel's 11 herbs and spices, I never cared for the soggy crust. I haven't tried Raising Cane's yet. Church's Chicken must use the smallest chickens known to man. Now, there is the "other" KFC aka Korean Fried Chicken. But I don't know the Korean restaurants in Modesto. So, the fallback is Popeye's! The "new" one on Briggsmore is not accepting mobile orders so I went with this location. We arrived around 7:39. Our order was supposed to be ready at 7:45. Unfortunately, someone had lost track of the orders, and they ran out of Spicy before we arrived. Fortunately, they had to fry some fresh, so we got ours hot out of the fryer. Service was friendly. The first person who greeted us as we walked in let us know that we would be getting the freshest chicken if we could wait about 7 minutes. While we waited, at least three other employees checked with us to make sure that we were okay. I asked Daniel if I could get just thighs instead of legs and thighs. I was told that an effort would be made. When we got our order, I was told by Daniel that we got five thighs and some wings and backs. Well, actually we got four thighs, three backs and three wings. Oh well, close enough. Chicken - 5 - was hot, moist and delicious. We ordered spicy and it had a nice familiar zing. Biscuits - 5 - were good plain and fantastic once I got some butter and honey on them. Red Beans and Rice - 4 - were good, but the ratio of rice was off. Not enough rice and too much liquid in the beans made it impossible to eat while driving. Cole Slaw - 5 - was fresh and cold. It was surprising to see the number of employees that were working. I counted at least 9. It could be that some were in training. Daniel also made sure that I had all the parts that we needed: plates, sporks, napkins, hot sauce, butter and honey. Greatly appreciated! If our order had been ready on time, I could see giving this experience a 5* rating. It's really a shame that some yelpers aren't paying attention to what they're doing. When you write a negative review and post it to the wrong location, it brings down the score of that wrong location and the correct location that performed poorly potentially "gets away with the poor performance". read more

Um this place is crazy good I usually don't go to the restaurant I get mobile orders but when I go to this place, it's usually clean and the soda machine gives you so many options want a strawberry Fanta they have it want a raspberry Mountain Dew they have it. They've got any soda and the mashed potatoes with gravy. I would also recommend that very good but also you should get the lemonade. I have a love hate with Popeyes. When they do the chicken right, it's great friggin food, but there is definitely not consistency. Went with my two daughters and the food was pretty on this visit. They were definitely busy with DoorDash orders, which looked annoying and definitely took a lot of their attention from in store customers. They were running out of lots of stuff and the dining area was a mess with overflow storage. Again, the food was good today, so I can look past pretty much anything. I was craving fried chicken and thought I'd try Popeyes on Coffee Rd since I'm not a fan of KFC. So I go inside to order since I dont want to take everyone's time while I look at the menu in drive-thru. I was greeted by the most helpful counter person, I think his name is James if I caught the name correctly from other staff calling out to him. He took the time to go over the different sides, the different sauces and listed all of the specials. He was so courteous and patient! I ended up ordering a 3 piece tender meal with a side and biscuit for $3.99. The price was a special price from a coupon I used from downloading the app. James then told me about a 9 piece chicken meal that was on special. Chicken, 2 large sides an 4 biscuits for $21.99. I decided to order that too for my lunches for the work week. Who doesnt like cold chicken for lunch? I asked for all thighs and he made it happen. While I sat at a table waiting for my order, I saw an employee sitting at a table eating his lunch. A young girl went up to the counter and waited, but all the staff were busy with drive thru and the lunch rush. The employee who was eating his lunch hopped up and went behind the counter to help her, despite being on his lunch break; he then returned to his lunch. I have never seen that happen before. What a great work ethic! I get home and went through my order and everything was correct; from getting all thighs to my sauces to my sides and biscuits. Perfect. The only thing different was my 3 order of tenders turned into 5! And OMG, the tenders are GIANT! They were so tender and crispy, they tasted amazing. The red beans and rice were also very good. I love the smoky flavor of the beans and the fact that red beans and rice is not an average side like mashed potatoes or Cole slaw even though they have those as well and more. I am not sure why the stars for this place is so low, but if I could have given more stars, I would. Great food, and most of all, great service. read more

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Popeyes, largely due to their abysmal customer service. As someone who enjoys indulging in fast food every now and then, I had high hopes for a satisfying meal, only to be met with frustration and neglect. Upon arriving at the speaker after a very long line I eagerly told them I had a coupon for a combo deal, expecting a seamless transaction. However, instead of acknowledging me or anything that was said they stayed silent some time passes and the line is getting longer, so i say "hellooo??" and very rudely i'm greeted with a "what do you want" again i tell them i have a coupons for a combo then silence while the staff seemed to ignore my attempts to redeem it. It wasn't until I started just saying the food i wanted that they finally took notice and begrudgingly started to take to my order. When i finally pulled up to the window the lady very condescendingly said "Oh you have a coupon?" I TRIED TO SAY THIS MULTIPLE TIMES!!! she goes on to say "i'll accept it this one time but next time you have to say it at the speaker" ????? I don't know if the lady taking my order just didn't know what she was doing but this blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and refusal to address my concerns in a timely manner reflects poorly on the establishment's commitment to quality service. Furthermore, the lack of attentiveness and professionalism exhibited by the staff only served to exacerbate my disappointment. Customer service should be a top priority for any business, yet Popeyes failed miserably in this regard. In conclusion, my experience at Popeyes was marred by incompetence and indifference. As a consumer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, neither of which were evident during my visit.
