Amazing food and good service for how they're staffed. Sincerely Jade Violet Black. Brandon and the manager were very nice and helpful too.

Don't come here at 8:30 at night. They won't have any food. Zero sides, except coleslaw, probably because that's the only thing they don't have to cook back there. They need to close this location down and start all over read more

I came in for lunch and ordered the Blackened tenders which longer to make (so you don't use the drive thru). The cashier informed me of the extra time to prepare and I said it was okay. There was a mix-up with the order and the cashier let me know. She apologized and tried to make up for it but I said I understand. When my food was ready, she put an apple pie in my bag. It doesn't take much to make a good impression. read more

I believe in second chances, so I decided to try this popeyes again. Once again disappointed. I went through the drive thru and the person greeted me and asked for my order. When I began to give me order she goes hold on and there I sat but not too long, maybe a minute. I ordered and pulled around. When it came to my time at the window the girl continued a conversation with a coworker while my order sat on the table and she never acknowledged me. Then she proceeds to take an order while my food sat there then turns to me and says so sorry with little feeling. Then they charge me $13.67 and I gave her $15.00 and my change should have been $1.33 but I received $1.30. I asked her where the rest of my change was and she said, we have no pennies. No notice stating they are ripping people off for pennies. Not that it makes or breaks me but if I had known I would have paid differently. If they do this to enough customers, it is a win for them.Their customer service once again is horrible. So sadly I bid farewell to this chain which is healthier for me. read more

1/3/2026 This a group of hard working people who try to accommodate their customers anyway they can. The inside is always clean and the drink area is kept up as well. People don't seem to want to understand it takes time to cook chicken, keep it hot and fresh. They also don't understand u can only cook so much chicken at one time People need to get real Popeyes isn't McDonald's premade burgers and such its good home cooking. I love Popeyes!! read more

The manager working at 6 pm on Sunday, Mar 21, 2026 should be fired. A after waiting in the drive-through for over 20 minutes, because the sign on the door said short staff drive-through only, I receive lukewarm chicken, potatoes that have been sitting so long the gravy dried up on them, and the chicken was hard and tough to eat. it is the managers responsibility to make sure that quality food is being served to the customers. I do not blame the store employees because they are supposed to have a leader. And when the leader does not care, and when the leader does not give their all the employees are reflect of reflection upon them. Why do fast food restaurants no longer care about serving quality food. This is ridiculous and a manager should be fired. This is for Popeyes in Dunkirk, Maryland. read more

Let me star by saying I won't be spending my money at this location the employee was rude and had a nasty attitude he was big cheesy and nasty the costumer service was poor he's demeanor was unpleasant and unprofessional read more

DO NOT COME HERE. YOU WILL WASTE 20MIN-1HOUR RVERY TIME. The staff is disgusting in every way, rude, lazy, don't care, look depressed. every time i waste my money and time at this location, I wait 20 minutes in the lobby watching employees do absolutely nothing, pick their nose, have full conversations while lines pile up, and don't serve people. They don't even acknowledge you a when you wait to order. people sit at the counter for 10-20 minutes watching the employees work, not a simple "i'll be with you in a sec" "hello how are you" nothing, just depressed ass looks like they dident chose to be there. I hate this specific group of employees that work here so much it's impressive. read more

My family and I were visiting St. Mary's Historical center in Ridge, MD. We did a quick stop at Popeyes for an easy dinner. The food was delicious . The service was very good and fast. read more

Second review for this store. Drove to get one of their new chicken sandwiches and fries. Everything was cold. The fries were that level of cold and old with the texture of old potato chips, believe everyone has experienced this. The sandwich was a little better but you could tell it's been under the warmer for way too long. Melted cheese hardened up to that give you that plastic feel to your mouth. Chicken patty crust was soggy. The cheese should not be crunchier than the chicken. Even the tea tasted old. In a previous life I had been a fry cook and asst manager of another chicken chain. During the dead time between lunch and dinner you have to watch the quality of your food product closely. Tendency is to let the lunchtime food sit under the warmers until the dinner rush. Think that's what happened here. read more

Customer service is terrble. The card reader goes out everytime I go. And of course they don't say cash only until you've waited 30 min. One of the girls also has a terrible attitude, she got upset that I ordered wings. "They take longer" she said. read more

I am shocked. I drive all over Maryland and go to Popeyes when I crave chicken. This is the only Popeyes that consistently seasons its chicken correctly. I never have bad chicken from this location, which says a lot. read more

I'm thinking we won't be coming back to this Popeyes... ordered 3 extra biscuits, 2 popcorn shrimp meals, spicy chicken sandwich, large side fries and 5 piece tenders meal. We got 2 biscuits total when we should have had 6 and I don't think if we put all the fries together we can get a large fries ‍just terrible. And the Spicy chicken sandwich... it wasn't spicy... just a regular chicken sandwich. Spent nearly $50 for something... not close to what I ordered read more

I always go through the drive-thru window and, as such, can not attest to anything inside. However, when I pull up to the speaker box, I am quickly greeted by a friendly voice. With only one exception, they have managed to get my orders correct and, on the one time they messed up, they quickly made it right. The person working taking payment at the window is always friendly and courteous and friendly. The food is always good. read more

Food quality great, service terrible...hire more people to cook instead of 4 people working drive-thru and lobby customers plus all the online presets that continued the entire 30 minute wait for my fast food...this is a by product of Biden-Harris economy...please hire more people...5 customers in the lobby waiting, 10 cars backed up in the drive-thru while the manager was asking for help read more

This is my first time visiting this location. I went through the drive through. Two cars in front of me and the line moved quickly. I would return if I am ever in the mood for Popeyes again. read more

The food at Popeyes is always good but is it worth waiting in the drive thru for over 20 minutes?! I don't think so! The Popeyes in Dunkirk, MD is absolutely terrible when it comes to service time. I'm pretty sure I'll never go here again because the food is not good enough to wait that long read more

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - french fries in a paper bag - Fast Food Near Me - Dunkirk, Maryland

Quick and friendly drive thru service. The spicy chicken sandwich is absolutely worth the hype. The chicken on the sandwich was seasoned and fried beautifully with a nice little kick but not overwhelmingly hot. The pickles were nice a fresh with an awesome crunch! The sandwich comes together so perfectly from bun to bun and the sauce really sets it off. The fries were hot and seasoned well. Overall I was really happy with my experience and flavor profiles of my order. read more

I waited long enough to count 7 employees working before I had my order taken. Waited around 10 minutes to even order with only 2 people waiting for food including myself. Then waited another 6-7 mins for my order while they scramble around trying to find a door dashers order. Extremely unorganized and little respect. Then after getting my order I asked for sauce and the guy said "ok" then proceeded to do other things with a blank face. Then the manager walks up to me and ask "what do you want" in a sassy way. After giving me the sauces she says "are you happy now" As much as I don't wanna go back to this Popeyes it's the only one decently close but that experience was awful. read more

Once again, they forgot food in my bag from my order. Tried to call for 2 hours and constantly busy. If you don't call same day, they will not honor the mistake. So that's their answer, leave phone off hook, so they don't have to reimburse you. This is not the first time they have done this. I filled out complaint on tellpopeyes.com. Service is always lacking. Never acknowledge you standing there waiting. What happened to manners? read more

I walked in at 11:30 am on a Monday with a large lunch order. 2 12-piece family meals. I first noticed how clean everything was. The cashier was very nice. They had everything ready and it was hot and fresh. They didn't seem phased my my large order. Our movers ate every bit of it! Well done Popeye's! read more

Your workers need trained not just in how to do their job properly, but how to not be hateful. She was rude when taking my order. When she forgot to give me my drink and I said I was missing a drink, she acted like it was a huge inconvenience, went and grabbed a random drink off the counter (that was a tea that had zero ice in it) shoved it out the door and walked off. Had to wait for her to come back and stare at me like I was an inconvenience again so I could ask for sauce, she made a face as if that was crazy. I checked my bag and realized we were given no straws so I had to ask for those, she made another face and shoved them at me through the window. I waited in line for 30 minutes, why are you the one being rude?! No thanks. read more

Avoid this Popeyes at all cost! Nonexistent customer service, inaccurate orders, and poor taste quality. I have done the feedback survey in the past and made verbal complaints with managers on duty on several occasions over the span of my years of living in Calvert County but experienced the same issues every time I visit. Today visit shows the staff just doesn't care about customer service nor customer retention. Same as a lot of reviews on here, but Ordered 5 spicy chicken tenders and was told it would be a wait to cook which I was fine with, so I waited, got to the traffic light to realize they place 2 spicy tenders (not fresh) and my biscuit on top hiding 3 mild tenders(not fresh) under where you wouldn't be able to notice by just opening the box. Also ordered the hush puppy shrimp but got 8 chicken nuggets instead. read more

If you want good Popeyes chicken, do not come here. Spicy isn't spicy and chicken reminds me of bojangles chicken ( puddle of grease and undercooked). Tastes like it was fried in old grease. Never have a problem out of this county. Staff is slacking to say the least. Upper management needs to just hire a whole new crew. Oh wait. I think they did not long ago and it's still bad. Bottom line, if you want good Popeyes chicken, then go to PG county or Charles. read more

I am not a fan of this location. The wait is forever, whether there is one customer or 100 present. Courtesy of staff is hit or miss. Orders are consistently incorrect or missing items. We always receive at least one item that is burnt or not cooked completely. If not buying for others, I avoid this location altogether. read more

I wish I could give this Popeyes's a 6/5 stars, cause I cannot possibly put into words how astonished I am by the over all well work and amazing service provided by the staff! Even though the location appears to be struggling with its amount of employees, each one is eager to provide the best service possible with the available resources. Despite other reviews, I found the drive thu to be the same a most others in the county, trying their best to ensure quality over speed and treating everyone who goes through with utmost kindness despite their busy hours. I found the staff, and building nothing but enjoyable and would gladly go there again. read more
