I went to the drive through of this Popeyes Kitchen chicken . The phone app has special deals like $6 for 3 pc of chicken . I chose two legs and one thigh ( all dark meats ) and I used my points to get a side ( beans & rice ) . I spend $6 for lunch which is a pretty good deal . This location has good fried chicken , while the location in Fremomt hub the chicken was (deep fried )too old and dried . I use the phone app to order in advance and pick a pick up time. I can enter all the specific way I like my order to be done and no misunderstanding with the staffs at drive through. I like to use the phone app cause I get to pay with a one line deal prices . It also keeps track of my purchases and gives me points for free food . The staffs at this drive through are nice but they put the wrong items in my bags sometimes . Some double check my order before I drive away. Good food , good price . The chicken are marinated in ways different than KFC and Korean fried chicken . I have seen this location open for a long time and never tried Popeyes before and decided to give it a try for a quick meal. Ended up going through drive through with no issues. The bright menu board had many choices and decided to get tender meal. Tenders, a side, drink, and a biscuit. The chicken was well seasoned and crispy. Cole slaw was delicious, crisp and cold. I placed an on-line order at 1:00pm on a Friday afternoon. It was for a three-piece meal and a soft drink using points from my Popeye's account. We arrived at about 1:05 and got into the drive-thru lane for pick-up. There was one vehicle in front of us, and it appeared that the driver was waiting to have his order taken. We decided to get out of the drive-thru lane and walk in instead. Alas, that didn't really help. She walked into the dining room at 1:07. There were two customers waiting to place their orders and two customers standing in front of the "Pick-up/Mobile Order" line. The cashier told those two guests that she would call their name when their order was ready. This allowed my wife to step up to the counter. When the cashier finished with the customer that she was waiting on, she waited on my wife and handed her our order. My wife filled the drink cup from the fountain and returned to the car at 1:15. There was one person working the counter and three employees working in the back. They could have used one more employee who could float and work both front and back of the house. The front parking lot was full when we arrived. Some cars left and others immediately pulled in. Several cars also pulled into the back lot while we waited for our order. The food itself was very good with the exception of the Cole Slaw. There was nothing wrong with the way that the Cole Slaw was made but I will always complain that cold foods should not be placed in the same container as hot food. read more

The most DISRESPECTFUL Customer Service EVER! I rarely leave negative reviews, but after emailing Popeyes Corporate about this experience and receiving no response, I decided to share it here. On June 29, I went through the drive-thru at the Dublin Popeyes (Store #5351). When I got home to Castro Valley, I realized they had forgotten a $3.99 red beans and rice that I paid for. I was exhausted after work and wasn't driving all the way back to Dublin, so I saved my receipt. Two days later, I returned with the receipt expecting a simple replacement. Instead, the cashier asked if I had called that day. I explained that I didn't know I was supposed to call and assumed my receipt would be enough. She said "NO," tossed my receipt back toward me, and when I said I had no reason to lie about a $3.99 item, she shrugged and said, "Well, I don't know." I asked for a manager. Another employee explained that I should have called so they could document the missing item. I apologized and explained again that I didn't know the procedure. She still refused to replace it and told me to call the number on the receipt. Here's the unbelievable part: I called the number four times while sitting inside the restaurant. It rang about 15 times each time and disconnected, no answer and no voicemail. When I explained that their number didn't work and asked for a supervisor's number, I was told NO again and basically ignored. All of this over their $3.99 mistake. Mistakes happen. Forgetting my side wasn't the problem. The dismissive, rude treatment and complete unwillingness to resolve such a simple issue was the problem. I emailed Popeyes Corporate hoping they would address it privately, but I still haven't received a response. Hopefully someone sees this review and provides this location with some much-needed customer service training. Many times they shorted your chicken especially when you order many pieces to go/drivethrough. I started to believe this was deliberate done on purpose. But why??? When I pulled up to the window, an employee named Alyne handed me someone else's order. I politely informed her that the order was incorrect, but she responded in a rude manner and made it seem as though I was the one who had made the mistake. I then asked for her name, but she refused to provide it and asked why I wanted it. I explained that I felt she was being rude and unprofessional, at which point she did not state her name.( I had to purchase sauce since it's not free and got it on there). In addition to the poor customer service experience, my order was also prepared incorrectly. The chicken appeared undercooked, with a mushy texture, and the breading was soggy and falling off. This was very disappointing, especially considering I expected my food to be prepared properly and handled with care. The chicken strips were cooked well and good, but I didn't get spicy they gave me regular, the Cajun rice had no meat or spices in it, it was just white rice with butter in it (possibly the app said they had something they didn't), and of course the cheesecake was good! As someone who's worked for fast food, the restaurant is supposed to fix THEIR mistakes, not the costumers. We also never recieved a recipt so we couldn't see what we had originally payed for/what mistake they made. First, their fried chicken in the sandwich and tenders form is the best I have had, especially the spicy variety. Crisp coating, tasty moist meat and good condiments. I always take out so I get to see the inside. They still have a self serve soda bar which is good because I mix the sodas. The red beans and rice are unique and good as well. They aren't cheap, but it is worth it. The inside could use some refreshing. It looks kind of dirty and dark and often the counter is wet with something from somebody else's order. One of the walls has jars of something which I dont recognize and it's time to change that out...If all fast food places looked like a Five Guys, I would be pretty happy. I called the location several times to speak with a manager but the phone kept ringing and no one answered. Put all the items back in fridge and called the next afternoon. I would understand all of that but her attitude was not good- almost as if I was asking for a handout.
