I had the worst experience today the staff was rude and abrupt. I normally have a great experience and purchase $25-$50 per visit. I purchased 11 bags today there were 3 staff members. We each sampled two types trying to decide on new flavors for an event. I purchased popcorn then noticed a new flavor and the other person in my party asked to try another flavor in order to purchase additional 3bags of popcorn. I was yelled at and told only 4 samples We assumed per person? We were buying for an event. I purchased more popcorn. I won't return to this location again. I spent a lot of money to be treated so disrespectfully. I was purchasing a large amount of popcorn not just asking for samples. Sample2 two types purchased more than 11 different flavors. The place looks like a mini retro candy museum I came in and was almost overwhelmed! So cool, super clean, and the popcorn/snow cones we got were amazing. The only thing I didn't like was when I asked for a Jr Dark chocolate bag she spoke back to me the price in a very rude way suggesting I couldn't afford the higher price for the chocolate menu. I know that she could have just been having an off day or something so not a big deal I'm sure I'll be back and it will be a better customer service experience but the real point of this review is to say wowwwwwwww!!!!!!! It was SO clean and organized, the popcorn was amazing and tasted fresh even though it wasn't popped in front of us I'm not always confident popcorn out of a bag is gonna be very good but this place is doing something right for sure!!! Popcorn Stop sets up a table at my place of work about monthly, and it's regularly the best part of my month. My personal favorite is the peanut butter chocolate, and my wife loves the bacon cheddar. So, when I needed a party favor for my Minneapolis wedding that invoked Texas, I chose Popcorn Stop. I got 408 cups of popcorn across 6 types for a popcorn bar. The whole thing was picked clean. People were jumping up first chance they had to claim their popcorn and holding onto their bags for dear life. It was a huge success. The Popcorn Stop called after I placed the order to make sure they could ship everything so it showed up on time while being as fresh as possible. Prior to discovering this place I ordered online from Garrett's Popcorn. I'm a Chicago native currently residing in Fort Worth and this has become my guilty pleasure, I now visit 2-3 times a week it is that gooooood, I even went to the Arlington location on a Sunday. This is the "BEST" popcorn store!!! I live in Arkansas and each time I visit Arlington, I do not return home without buying my share of popcorn. One large cheesy cheese, large bacon cheddar, and large jalapeno ranch. And sometimes I get a couple of bags of the extra large with all 3 favors mixed. Even though my family eats this all the way home and everyday after, it stays fresh for a long time. We have never thrown any out. The owner and the staff are always helpful and friendly. I was a regular customer at popcorn stop. I bought a lot of the Bengals cans for family members. I went several times and the popcorn was stale and I told them that is why I stop coming as much. I recently have came back several times and popcorn was not stale. However, I went two days in a row and they messed up my receipts and I told them I want it just like I purchased it. They had the first day receipts right at first and then changed it. I was told the total was the same and they are not changing it and she talk to the owner and told me she said I can go to where she is and she will deal with it. I was also informed that I can start paying cash to avoid any confusion in the future. I told the manager I have never heard of such a thing. In my opinion it would be taking a chance on losing a regular customers and I haven't heard of business being conducted like that. It was the business mistake but I have to pay for it. I also told them I make money off my receipts splitting it up like that. I told them that the day I purchased the popcorn as well. What a mess. A total lack of concern once they were aware total amount was the same. I am the type of person that keeps receipts, documentation, etc. and I always ensure everything is done the way it should be. Owning property dealing with paperwork, contracts, etc. you get very thorough with everything just in case it maybe something needed in the future. Also, a new employee mistakenly charged me $40.00 instead of $10.00. It was a good thing I caught it before I left the store otherwise they may not have corrected it. Watch out. read more

I called to find out where they were located next to for me to easily find them and was told "next to the cars in front of the building". Really! The Fort Worth (Hulen) location is my favorite when the owner is there. I called the number for the Fort Worth store and the Arlington store answered, so I asked a simple question about a product and was told they had it at both stores. Went to the Popcorn stop in Arlington Texas off Cooper rd Monday January 29th to purchase a refill for my bucket the popcorn wasn't fresh I made a courtesy call to the store to advise them of what was going on, the cashier contacted the owner Shawn to let him know what I just experienced, he asked me to bring it back I then explain to the cashier I was too far, and I could come back Wednesday she told me that was fine because she worked open to close and the managers would be there I then told her ok and discontinued the call, the cashier called me back said she spoke with the owner Shawn he told her to tell me I needed to come back the same day because the longer I held the pop corn out the freshness would go away I QUESTIONED that and told her today is Monday and in two days will be Wednesday what's the difference if it had been fresh we wouldn't be having this problem, she told me she would call him back and explain to him I was too far to come back and I would see him on Wednesday I never heard back from her. Well,,,,today is Wednesday January 31st I came back to the Popcorn stop as promised the cashier was there the same one I had the conversation over the phone with she advise me the owner Shawn wasn't there but contacted him by phone explaining I was there with the full can of popcorn and also my receipt well mind you I also bought other items from there as well spending $17.00 total he advise me he never had a complaint about the freshness of the Popcorn and he wanted to be there to taste it I told him his cashier could taste it the can was still full he then told me she didn't feel comfortable tasting it I told him I understand but I just needed him to replace the Popcorn, now mind you I never asked for a refund or anything just for the replacement I explained to him I was the customer he kept going on and on about the Popcorn, customers started coming in I advised him of that and told him that wasn't professional for me to have the discussion on the phone about his business he kept talking over me I then advised him again customers in the store he then replaced the Popcorn told me in the near future to taste the Popcorn before I leave......TERRIBLE......TERRIBLE...CUSTOMER SERVICE I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK read more

My family and I (4 people) wanted to get some popcorn. There was a large selection of popcorn and we all wanted different types. I had three samples and my mom had three samples, when my cousin asked for a sample, he was denied a sample because we had 'reached' our limit. The reason my mother and I each had three was because we didn't like the first two flavors. The lady who was helping us then said that there was a limit of six samples per group. We each offered to pay for our own popcorn and were the DENIED a service. We were treated rudely by the employee and she made us leave the store when we offered to pay individually. I couldn't help but wonder if if was because my mother was disabled and the employee was discriminating towards her. Now I ask you is this fair? Avoid this place at all cost. The popcorn is not good (the only reason we went there was because it was the closest to our home). The service is awful and we were treated cruelly and were insulted numerous times. If I could give a less than one star review, I would because I will not tolerate being mistreated and having people mistreat people who are living with disabilities. read more
