I won't take away from the food the gizzards were amazing! Seasoned very well and fried beautifully. The service on the other hand I called in my order to be picked up at 5:40 pm. i got there 5:45 paid the $3 more than the advertised prices on website. Asked if it was ready was told yes. Nope!! they hadn't even started it. When I told them I was going to be late for work and asked why they just started it, suddenly there was a communication error. When I was a younger and even less responsible fellow I went to a party in West VA. One of my fellow Army officers had inherited the family home and threw a housewarming party. He had gotten a turkey fryer (when they were relatively new to most folks). So we had wings, fries, breaded vegetables. Later into the evening after lots of beer, liquor shots, actual gun shooting -people had the munchies. He fired the fryer back up and we started drunkenly dropping random things into the hot oil. I tell that story to describe this little "heart attack in white styrofoam" restaurants menu. Anything you can imagine gets dropped randomly into hot oil. That is obvious from the parking lot, obvious with one glance at the massive menu board, obvious looking at the clientele (I push 280lbs most days lately). To come in, order something and then complain it is "fried" strikes me as the odd lunatic logic that, claims to hate elites and then worships a billionaire reality TV guy, perplexing. I don't know how closely related this location is to the other one over in Wade Square ( a bit hard to get to and more "gritty" if you get my drift). This location seems recently spruced up, the staff is younger, it is relatively cleaner. This is not a regular stop, should not be on a monthly rotation for that matter. However, when you have been working hard, really behaving yourself and you just want to toss back an "eating contest" amount of hot fried, salty goodness...have at it. You will feel like showering right after you take the evidence of your crime outside to the big trash can- you won't face yourself in the mirror the next morning. But heck, that workout guy on Biggest Loser had a heart attack and he ate kale every day...so. I shall return...after a few trips to the gym. read more

Servers are rude, unsanitary lacking the wear of gloves when handling customer food, unprofessional, and they have roaches. One crawled over my arm as the cashier proceeded to talk loudly on the phone with her own conversation with a friend and give out the wrong order to another customer who had my order and proceeded to get it back and try to give it to me... during COVID no less. If I could rate it -5 out of 5 stars I would. Cashier was also quite redundant in helping me with my first order she had gotten wrong and very much contradictory as she said they don't do refunds then proceeded to give me back half of what I paid. 10/10 DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! read more

I must say I did like the food. I got the tilapia and wing combo. It comes with fries and can of soda. Everything was breaded and dropped fresh so it was served Hot. The fries were super crispy. They sprinkle a seasoning on everything. The food was real good. I will be back for the food. The drinks are canned sodas which I don't mind but keep track of how many you drink they will charge extra for drinking more than one. But one comes with all the combos. The place is small. It has 3 tables and a diner counter. The desserts are all homemade by one of the owners wives. I will say when we were in there there was a guy/owner that was friendly and/or obnoxious depending on how you look at him, or a bit of both. Anyways, I will be back. It was good. So good! The staff is super friendly. The food is FIRE! So good and the prices are unbelievable. This is a takeout restaurant, you can also get delivery from dd. The fish is so good and the burgers are amazing. You gotta try this place if you haven't. We live right down the street from this place and we figured we would give it a go. It's real hard to miss at night because it's REALLY lit up! The guys here are really polite, they make sure you are enjoying your food and have everything you need. We found the food to be surprisingly good, I had the shrimp and catfish and my fiance got the chicken and catfish, we also split the gyro cheese fries. The shrimp were good sized and cooked really well. The catfish we decided was ok, the breading was seasoned real well, but the catfish didn't taste like it was catfish, but still good enough to continue to eat and enjoy. The gyro cheese fries were awesome, I highly recommend you try them! The only con about this place is it's small, while I think of it as more of a food stand you would pop in and out of in Chicago, the small space means you will be walking out smelling like a deep fryer if you eat inside. I think it would be great if they had a couple of outdoor tables. You should give this place a shot, I found it to be a great experience and the food was good! read more

This place has been through a few owners but it is by far better than the others. They have awesome gyros, a huge menu with several different kinds of chicken and fish as well as steaks and sandwiches. I went there to try the gyro after hearing it was really good. We will be back it was not disappointing glad to have them in the neighborhood. read more

Horrible. Utterly horrible. Everything that was fried was fried in the same oil, so the falafel and chicken and fries all tasted like fish.
