They don't answer the phone unless it's after 230pm I work FT!! Im.off Sat Sun . They call me and leave a message the I call them back and say "no one called you" Wrong! They called me Monday 8/22/22 at 3:29pm. Why would they not document the phone call? How am I to make an appointment? Or call them to update them? I can not just dall and re dail...and redial. This place is HORRIBLE. I would like to say that the staff treats people worse than an animal. As a human, there is no reason for the staff to be so angry and rude. People are going to the dr to feel better not to leave feeling violated and sad. This office needs to be taught how to speak to people and be kind. The staff does not know the meaning of compassion. If the staff do not make enough money to be kind to employees maybe they need a raise, a day off or maybe office injustice or politics makes the employees retaliate against patients. No-fault of our own. I as a patient just need to be treated but unfortunately, this never happened because the staff is so uneducated and rude. The doctor should not be allowed to practice medicine if she thinks that her patients are not a priority and thinks that her staff SHOULD treat sick people with unfairness. The staff that does not have English as a first language often misunderstand and misinterpret phrases, language, and sentences because they are uneducated with English read in their native language. This doctor Poom told my mother she was fine and didn't have her be quarantined. This doctor told my mother if she had my mom stay home she would everyone stay home and denied her leave. I work for a insurance Company and I called PCP office for assistance scheduling appointment for member when Irene answer the phone I was still explaining the reason of the call when she interrupted me and when I merge in the call with member she spoke over me. There's a reason this doctors office has such low rating. & it's not because of the doctor. Dr. Poom is great. However her staff is absolutely unprofessional and does NOT do their jobs. Front desk receptionist Lorena, is completely useless. They will keep you on hold & then hang up. Lorena needs to be fired already, I can guarantee if she replaces her, this will be a much better place to deal with. How many bad reviews need to mention this lady to get her fired already? Get better staff that actually do their jobs. Don't be in the medical field if you don't have any sort of compassion or understanding. My fiancée was recently involved in a car accident. Dr. Poom has been his primary since even before he & I were together.. many years he's gone to this clinic. I can accept you can't help, (quite frankly don't want to help seems like), him until his appointment, but I don't accept the rudeness at the front desk. He's in a lot of pain in his head, neck, and back... , and when he is asking for me to speak on behalf of him, I don't need your rude front desk worker to snap at me with 'I don't talk to you, your the girlfriend, I talk to the patient.' This is after repeatedly he asked for me to speak on behalf of him. You clearly have no empathy for you patients. You're trash and I hope Poom fires you. This office literally has the worst office staff. Lorena is the rudest and most condescending and fake person ever. My parents went there because the doctor spoke Thai. They have known the mom (Dr. Poom Sr) for years but have only been seeing Dr.Poom since 2019. Since the original Dr.Poom passed away, the daughter Dr.Poom is in charge. Since no one speaks Thai there is a language barrier and I try to coordinate things for my parents. Lorena is awful to deal with and I'm literally changing my parents PCP just so I don't have to deal with her. Both Dr. Poom's have been wonderful. Too bad they don't realize that their staff is horrible. For example, I had a phone appt with the doctor in regards to a referral and no one called me so naturally I called the office. Lorena tells me that they canceled the appt because apparently you need to have "X" days between appts, but even though they canceled it, they didn't have the decency or courtesy to notify me. Furthermore, Dr.Poom was supposed to email a form to my mom. We're got a phone message to confirm that it was sent, but we never received the email. I called and Lorena answered again, I relayed the issue and all she said was that she'll tell the doctor. I was trying confirm they had the correct email but she hung up. Instead of trying to resolve customer issues she just can't be bothered to think ahead or anticipate possible solutions. After multiple calls back and forth, she asks for my fax. Of course this is 2022 and a normal household doesn't even have a fax machine. I told her I don't have a fax machine and she says that they only way to get out to me. Umm ok?? I finally asked if my parents can just pick up the form. Then she goes no to say that "Oh I thought you coordinate everything for them why are you having them pick it up?" ( in a condescending tone) I further explained to this incompetent person that even though I coordinate things for them and translate, they are still able to pick up a document and that I am trying to coordinate to get the document so I can fly from nyc to oc to take them to the doctor the referral was for. I then asked what time they closed. And again in a condescending tone, she said " We close at 5pm, bye!" read more

This office is so horrible ! I usually don't write reviews but people need to hear this. I had a spine injury two weeks ago on a wensday. I went to the er and they sent me to my doctor. I headed over there last Monday morning and I got there after a thirty minute drive and they wouldn't see me even though it was an emergency. I drove back the next day and I waited for 5 and a half hours there in tears in pain. Because the front desk girl was on hold to verify for my insurance for almost three hours! Then the pa I saw was so rude! He didn't even touch where my injury was and sent me for a stat ortho referral. They acted like i was a drug seeker because I have anxiety medication and wouldn't even help me. He gave me a doctors note for a few days even though it's clear that I have a spinal injury and I work with autistic children and can't perform my job duties. He said if I felt bad to come back on Monday and get the note extended, and I know myself, so I knew I wouldn't be able to do my job. So I call in the morning Monday as soon as they open and a woman answers I tell her the entire situation including which doctor I saw and she told me to come in. I got there she had the most brutal look on her face i have ever seen and said why are you here? I told her I just called and situation. She said that that doctors not even there and then I can come back the next day! I drove 30 miles to get there. Then Dr. Poom the main doctor there pointed to my note that it said to come back tomorrow to work for me to come back and see the other doctor to get extended the next day. I think that's unacceptable, I can't do that my work needed the note. Then I find out my stat referral hasn't even been going through it's pending for my MRI. The doctor finally extended my note, I tell her thank you I'm sorry because I'm very worried about being able to work in so much pain and I work with children and I can't bend. And she says "every job is a job you could take my job!". And shooed me out the door with hand gestures like I was a dog! And told me to leave. She should be reported and this office should never be able to have a patient be seen there again they were the meanest doctors office I'm almost ever been to and it they're extremely unprofessional and rude don't go there see yourself some time and sanity. read more

This doctor is awesome she is kind and listens to what is wrong. She goes the extra mile to accommodate you and she makes sure you understand everything. She even grabed old medical records from my previous doctor to explain to me what was going on because the other doctor really didn't know how to explain himself or what was going on. The place is old man she has been there foreve so you cant knock her for that but she could do some renovating. No matter what I go to see dr. Poom I dont really care too much for her staff but she is a great doctor with an awesome story I think that is why she is so humble . read more
