The high attention to detail by the cleaning crew and the prompt and courteous service by their technicians Steven and Shawn has been great. Whenever there was a problem, it was usually addressed the same day, so that our guests can still enjoy the pool. Last year we needed to have our old pump replaced and Pool America recommended a "variable-speed" pump, which can operate at different speeds and has saved us a good amount of electricity costs since installation. The same thing goes for our propane pool heater, which has been replaced with an electric heat pump model to keep the pool warm for our guests in the winter. The technicians showed up exactly when they said they would be there, did a clean job and showed us how to set the temperature on the new heat pump. We were very impressed by their knowledge and thoroughness. If you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy pool company, give Pool America a call.

I started at $80 a month and now it's up to $140 when I asked about it they canceled my service and now tell me that it would be 180 per month. Then told me they don't have room for me after I called back and said hey what's going on my pool is green. They left me hanging and said they don't have room for me. During the course of the year my pool went green several times and sometimes they didn't even show up for their weekly cleaning.

When they first arrived they had the audacity to park their truck on our front lawn and wanted to mix the PebbleTec 'knock off' product while parked on the lawn! I told them to get the truck off of the lawn but they still ruined a large part of my front lawn when they hosed off the their buckets, wheel barrel and tarp On the grass. The cement and or chemical materials killed the lawn In one area. The crew also dumped buckets of some liquid (diluted acid?) into my flower beds and killed a few plants. The entire process was a complete f'up. They put down a few pieces of new sod in our front yard but it all died. They also put in a new plant to replace the one that they killed with diluted acid(?) that they poured in the flower bed by the pool. That plant died soon after and another one I planted there died too. When we were able to use the pool we noticed that the surface of the pool was so rough and sharp that it actually cut our feet and we ended up having to use water shoes so our feet dint get cut. Bottom line.. I would not recommend Nelson Pools to resurface your pool.

Add 1 or 2 chlorine biscuits to the suction basket each weeek and that's it. Never shocked the pool. Vinyl liner is still the original from 2001. If not broke tomorrow I'd buy it again. I'm sure it's expensive but it's worth it. Use a DE filter. Scrape the electrodes clean every beginning of the year. Done.
