Inconsistent reliability, service & communication. I would not recommend the Pool Hut.

I found The Pool Repair Guy on line last night and had an email response back before 7 am. Bobby was able to give me a price quote for full replacement but in case they could fix it would let me know later that day. A few hours, he sent a few pics and confirmed I needed a full replacement. They replaced it right then and sent me pics of the new filter. Since I had another property around the corner, asked if they could just take a quick look to see if I may have any issues in the near future with the pool filter. He happily agreed but can you believe he fixed a leak I had at no charge. He just texted me after he had already fixed it. There's not many businesses you can trust now a days but I say I will definitely keep Bobby's contact info in case I do have additional pool issues.

I was biting my tongue at the poor job they did and their poor communication skills and didn't write a review before. The workers were all friendly and polite during the pool resurface. The only problem was that they didn't speak English and I had to keep calling Tracy to find out what was going on and needed to be done next. There would be days that I would not receive a return call from Tracy. That is not acceptable from any company! They started the job around Sept 25, 2025 and it was finally completed around March 2, 2026. This long span had to do with staining that was done with the first fill they did because they didn't treat the water properly. Tracy blamed it on well water. They knew what kind of water we had when they gave me the estimate to do the work. They spent weeks trying to get out all of the stains and ended up draining it and acid washing it. This time, I bought a home house filter and filled it. The walls had staining just after their acid washing this time before the water even reached the levels of the staining. The floor had lots of white and dark spots that we were told would disappear over time. They sent people out to try and remove the staining. Both spots never cleared up. Neither did the spots and streaks on the bottom. After weeks and weeks of frustration they gave us a credit on the final payment and we agreed to just end our relationship there. I wouldn't have wrote this review, except that Freddie decided to accuse me of writing that other one. The stories don't even add up The workers were great, except for communication issues. The manager, Tracy, took days to sometimes respond. We would be told someone is coming out tomorrow and they would never showed up. She was friendly though. The owner, Freddie, came in at the end when we were extremely pissed and disappointed in the work they did. He was friendly and tried to rectify the situation. In the end, gave up, and offered compensation for this nightmare to end. NOW, he decides to call me an accuse me of writing bad reviews all over the place. He is a liar and be weary of dealing with him. I have all conversations and pictures saved between Tracy, Freddie and myself. The pictures I have show everything done the entire time. I have the entire process well documented! If anyone has any questions about our experience, feel free to message me!

    A&B Pool and Spa's

STAY AWAY FROM ABOVE & BEYOND POOLS in NAPLES! The hurricane flooded our pool, ruined the…read moreequipment. We had used Above and Beyond pools to clean and maintain our pool. After the hurricane we had them do repairs at a cost of $15,104.78 to "completely drain, sanitize and refill the pool", replace the gas heater, motor pump, salt system, screenlogic pool control, and spa switch and paid them in full. The day they were scheduled to do that work (Dec. 12, 2022) we had a medical emergency so we were not able to be here. We were never provided photos of the work done, or the condition of the pool - when it was emptied, or when it was refilled. I asked if sanitizing is the same as acid washing and still have not heard from them. In Feb I fired A&B pools from maintaining my pool because they were not doing a good job - it looked bad, the tech never showed up half of the time, and one time when I did have contact with him he said he couldn't vacuum the pool because his equipment was broken. My husband felt sorry for the guy even though there were problems with A&B; the tech said he was going to be fired, which he was in January. Collier County Utilities contacted me in March because of our extremely high water usage (since December 188k gallons!) Had a plumber check the entire house for leaks, and a landscaper check the yard and sprinklers - both were fine. My builder checked the auto fill - which A&B pool neglected to check and it was badly broken and constantly running - so that was a major part of the water problem. Then had the auto filler replaced by a new pool company who also replaced the leaking filter - something else A&B neglected to take care of. The pool is badly stained and that should have been corrected with the cleaning by A&B pool. Finally, to be sure all leaks were corrected, had a leak detection company check the pool. The part A&B had worked on that I paid for was leaking. In addition, pointed out something inside the pool - white circular spots in several places in the pool, one on the steps. These probably were there when A&B did work on the pool, so they failed to remove them properly, and never mentioned it to us. I've been told now that I may need to acid wash the pool, or even resurface it to remove these and have it look clean again! I have called A&B pools numerous times since March and left messages asking about "sanitizing", and informing them about the leaks and the high water usage. No call back from them. Then, I wrote a letter to A&B on May 26, 2023 to ask what "sanitize" meant, tell them about the leaks, and the high water bills. They have NEVER called me. All they do is send a bill telling me I owe them $1650. I got another bill from them today (with the words OPEN UPON RECEIPT written on the outside of the envelope) - no mention of the leak. Their incompetence has cost me $1560 in wasted water plus I still have a leak I need fixed from their shoddy work so I will have to pay someone else to fix that! I may also need to spend anywhere from $5k to $40k depending what the decision is about the spots they left in the pool. My neighbors had the exact situation with their pool and they do not have the spots in their pool or any problems after from their pool company - different than mine. The A&B so-called cleaning of my pool had such a terrible result that it is costing me way more than it should have! They are a horrible company!

He and his wife came over to take a look at my setup, gave me a free quote, and spent a good amount of time talking about any questions I had. After he did the work, he let me video him so that I'd have instructions on how to best maintain the pool going forward. Ultimately I want to be the one to take care of my pool, so I appreciated that he was willing to do a one-time service and educate me too. And I'm glad he allowed me to take video, with no issues, so that I could refer back to it at any point. He also said to feel free to call him again if I forget anything or have questions. I can't recommend him enough! If I could, I'd give him more than 5 stars :)
