I went to see why she had stopped at the skimmer, and I pulled the cover and the basket. I found a dead frog in the basket. That is after reading the report that stated the basket had been emptied. They installed a liner for me a couple of years ago, and their work was great. They charged me as quoted (a couple thousand dollars less than I had paid in the past) and they are upfront about charging a flat hourly rate for anything unexpected the run into. Since then, I've used them for the occasional cleaning and different maintenance issues. They come when they say they will, they do a great job, and there are no unexpected charges. David, the owner, is in his 60s and has been in the pool business since he was 13. He doesn't do the physical work himself, but he does have an excellent team. The only negative - which isn't a big deal to me - is that he isn't great at returning calls. I just call him every day until I get him. He's a delight to talk to and a straight shooter.

I had been asking him to come out to check the leaking salt water chlorinator that he installed in 2022 since August of 2024. He doesn't have any help anymore he said, so he wasn't able to come out until just a few weeks ago! Now the product, which cannot be fixed is out of warranty. He told me he would try to find something that would work, but has not contacted me back again. This is a $1000 part that I don't have the money to replace, so I'm stuck. I'm in Tampa and he's in Plant City. I wish he would have just told me he can't do Tampa visits anymore. I don't think he is ill intentioned, but if he can't get the job done, that needs to be communicated much more timely.

Eric was knowledgeable, friendly, and cleaned up after better than I would've. I'll certainly use Flamingo the next time my pool breaks.

In less than 5 minutes, not only did Eric have the issue correctly diagnosed, but he was also able to keep his customer's cost in check by not recommending needless parts and labor. He did this by taking some extra steps quickly that sped up the clearing of our pool, as well as sharing tips of knowledge that he has gained over many years of satisfying customers.. some of these tips were big and some were small.. let me just tell you to ask for the wite-out tip!
