They don't not stand behind what they sell ! We paid almost 60k for an inground pool a year ago , now the pool deck rain water runs back into the pool which is especially a problem in the winter . which means you have to pump the water it a couple times in the winter. The concrete should always be pitched away from the Pool not toward the Pool. Along with our Omni salt, wired incorrectly, and has blown out the circuit board and he will not stand behind any of it. Absolutely horrible company. Paid for a new liner that was not installed correctly, lots of divots and dents as well as a couple wrinkles. The divots and dents could not be noticed until first time in pool and and that point it's too late and it can't be fixed. Also when the skimmer was reattached it dripped and I paid to have them replace it and it still leaks. Then on top of that the beginning of the next season the liner unattached in an area. I called thinking it would be covered by warranty, but I was charged and paid the bill. The very same thing happened again this year so I called and told them this needs to be covered under warranty. The girl I talked to agreed as long as it was not my pool causing the issue. They came out to fix issue, it was nothing to do with my pool, and he was done in less than 15 minutes. I thought that was the end of it but I got a bill for in the mail for $275, so I called and explained that I should not be charged for this. They decided to take $100 off of bill but that's still $175 they want to collect for something that should have been covered as a warranty as agreed and was here less than 15 minutes. What a racket!!! I would never do business with this company again and I'd advise anyone thinking about using them to steer clear. read more

Since the new front of office staff took over, the service has been awful. The staff does not even basic knowledge of pool service or construction. Nor do they know how to behave professionally or respectfully with the public. Big mistake to loose Cindi and Adam. They were professional and knowledgeable. Full review in pictures. In short, Ralph the owner is very nice but his office staff has got to go. Katrina and Shannon are unprofessional and ignorant. Once Katrina receives payments, she turns into Jekyll & Hyde. Shannon did our walk through and was not knowledgeable and when questions, snapped at us that we shouldn't need a walk through because we had a pool before. Chlorine, not heated with salt. Still am not sure how to use equipment and what it is. Adam, although I'm sure he means well, isn't good at his job. Never ordered our pool cover, quoted us wrong originally, forgot pool equipment, promises to contact electric and concrete contractors, but doesn't. I had to schedule the contractors myself. My pool is crooked, hopefully it settles and isn't noticeable. Concrete is sloppy and already cracked. Told several timelines, none of them true. Ralph is on site digging and working all day, he should have friendly, professional, reliable staff and he doesn't. That office will cost him money and customers. Grading is poor and erosion is even worse. Was told that once they were done, we'd never know they were there. Except there's thousands of rocks in our yard and we had to deal with a massive tree stump because according to Shannon, "we're not a landscaping company and we should have charged you for that stump", as if I knew there was a tree stump underground. I'm sure the response to this will be ignorant and will paint me as a liar. I have every text, every voicemail and every email, so go ahead. Shannon sent me a bill for $200 for maintenance that I assumed was included until they "handed the keys over" after the final walkthrough. Told me she had our conversations recorded where I agreed to pay $100/week, not including chemicals for that. Could never produce the recording. We have a robot vacuum that does the cleaning for us. Dover Pools will test water for free and tell us what to buy. Why would I ever agree to that? I have so many examples of poor customer service. I'll figure a way to get the full review on here, Facebook or Yelp. If Ralph replaces his office staff, I'd recommend them. Not their concrete guy "Dill" though. Forrest Fence did a great job! Electrician traveled over an hour and a half to hook our pool up to find the pipes weren't even connected. Besides the week of install, the rest of piss poor. read more

I highly recommend the Pool Doctor. They are the only company I would turn to for opening and closing our pool. I am set up with weekly service and it takes away all the hassle of me handling chemicals and chlorine tabs. They are truly Professional Subject Matter Experts and answered all of my questions. They contracted another company to come look at the leak who in turn billed me over $400 and then the pool doctor had the nerve to bill me for opening a defective pool and wanted me to pay for a new liner on top it! I'm still relatively new to the area, and very new to having a pool. I have had the worst luck finding a company to open & close my pool, to the point that I thought opening the pool just meant taking off the cover and putting the ladder back in, etc... leaving the cleaning to me. I could write a novel about how HORRIBLE my experiences were. I don't know why I didn't call Ralph's company first. They are opening my pool now, and even though it's not done, it's totally clear, looks great. They answer their phone, return their calls, show up for their appointments, and they do a GREAT job. I've used Pool Doctor for closing my pool the last couple of years. They have been very professional and the work was done as expected and it made opening the pool so much easier the following spring. I recommend using them for closing pools, have not used them for weekly service or anything like that tho. While calling I've had to leave a message almost every time but phone calls have always been returned. read more

I cannot recommend Pool Dr. They installed a new pool heater last year; it ran twice before pool was winterized. The heater did not function when opening this year. They sent out their guy with 30 years of experience, who removed the Natural Gas regulator, replaced it with a straight pipe. He then, according to their manager to my wife spent a month "Trouble shooting the F%&K out of it". They failed to communicate on several occasions that the unit still wasn't functioning, put left gas and power on to the unit. When my wife went to the physical location of the store to inquire about what was going on she was told to leave, and we then received a text that they would no longer be doing business with us. I decided to read the installation manual, and it clearly stated that my setup needed the removed regulator. I had someone come out and replace it with a new one, and it now works perfectly. I guess if their guy with 30 years' experience had read the installation manual, we could have avoided all the conflict. Worst customer service, and relations I have ever dealt with. read more

I do not recommend Pool Doctor. They did not show up for their scheduled appointment, did not call me to let me know they couldn't make it. I had to call to find out they were not able to come. Refused a reduced rate for my inconvenience since I took the day off for them to do they work. I was told "this is how the business is" and were quick to let me walk away. Also told when I said they lost my business "we do 20 pools a day".... well, won't be 21 today. I recommend anyone but Pool Doctor. read more

They came out and looked at our pool and gave us a quote of $650. The pool was in bad shape. I called a couple of weeks later to schedule the appointment and they couldn't find the quote quickly. The lady appeared to be very disorganized. When they finally found the quote, she confirmed everything that needed to be done and confirmed a price of $650. Then the lady told me that I had to pay everything upfront before they would come out. I called the day before my appointment to pay for the service but it was after hours, so I left a message for them to call me back. They didn't call me back the next day. When I called them back, again, there was a different lady and she appeared to not know what was going on and couldn't verify whether my appointment was still on. Finally, she told me that the people were at my house at that very moment. I asked her if I had to pay the bill now and she said no, I could pay after they were done. Then the first lady I spoke with called me back within a few minutes and told be that the price would increase from $650 to $1300 because I had a "tree" in my pool. Well it wasn't a tree, it did have lots of leaves. Our pool was damaged because the liner came off during a storm and we didn't know. However, the pool was in the same condition it was when they first came out. They knew that there were leaves, they knew that we needed a pump, sand, and water. Now all of a sudden the price doubles? The lady didn't even seem concerned and acted like I was wasting her time and didn't want my business. So we decided to do everything ourselves. The parts that were needed cost up a whopping $370 excluding the cost of water. It was not as big of a deal as they made it to be. They simply did not want our business. I could understand the $650 or even a couple $100 dollars more, but to double the price when the condition of the pool was exactly what it was when they gave the initial quote is pure greed.
