BEWARE!!!!! BEWARE!!!!
Signed contract on November 9th 2023 for a pool remodel (new pavers, pool tiles, pool heater and re-surface of pool. Given a tentative start date of February 12th 2024 (Obviously very busy with a 3 month lead time). A very substantial deposit given ($14,387.75). When February 12th came around we were very excited to get it going. Well, no call, no email, no NOTHING! I called on February 16th and spoke with the so called "project manager" who spoke to me like I was a child asking me if I knew what "tentative" means. I told them just give me my deposit back. The owner "Ray" then called me and said he had a talk with the manager about his phone etiquette and told me I signed a contract and that it would be wise if I didn't break it. He said he would take half off my pool skimmer which I later learned he charged nearly $3,000 to do!!! WOW!!! What a deal eh? Had one put in at another home last year for $1400!!!
On February 23rd 2024 a single man came out, drained my pool and chipped off the tile leaving me with an unsightly mess. As of todays date (March 11, 2024), no one has been back out. After giving them over $14,000 dollars for a mere DEPOSIT, they now want me to sign a document for coping stones which will then put my family on the hook for yet another $12,661.32. Their contract is worded in such a way that they are protected and us as consumers are at their mercy. THEY REFUSE TO RETURN THE DEPOSIT WITH THE OWNER (RAY) STATING HIS CONTRACTS ARE AIR TIGHT!!! THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING EXCEPT GIVEN US AN EYESORE TO LOOK AT
When asked to put in writing an approximate completion date, the owner simply said "Oh I can't do that!"
Unfortunately, I have had to hire an attorney and will seek out my deposit and find a reputable and honest company. Believe me, I'm cutting this short, there's way more to this story. My bet is that most, if not all of their POSITIVE feedbacks are likely friends, family and employees.
Fast talkers and very unscrupulous! I am a former detective for the Detroit Police Department and have done a little leg work. I have found at least 4 other residents facing the same problems.
Also note a 5 star review by a "Peter Ryan" and a "J Fish" in the Google Reviews, coincidentally they have a Peter Ryan who was our salesman and a John Fisher who was the Project Manager. Another red flag or just a coincidence? You decide
PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THESE GUYS!! A lot of SMOKE AND MIRRORS!!! read more
