Having experienced refillings at practically all the different establishments of gasoline stations in the country due to availing of carpools, road trips, and various other enjoyable activities with friends, I have to admit that when it comes to service, Petron seems to be the best choice. With their very professional staff that can do everything from change and inflate tires as well as check the oil and water levels of a car while still finding time to wipe the windshield, Petron's crew manages to do quite well in my eyes when it comes to car maintenance, even when it competes with other gasoline stations for prices of their unleaded or diesel gasoline.

Little did I know that the differences between branches could be huge. The cheapest place to get gas in the whole of Manila (barring army or ADB privileges, I guess) is in Fairview. The proprietors there are supposedly into a price war but it's something I can't confirm. What I can vet on however, is the inexpensive gas. Usually the Petron near the Dona Carmen subdivision is around two pesos cheaper than the average going price in Manila. Going here just to get gas won't be financially sound, but if for some reason you find yourself nearby, better get a full tank.

Aside from the fact that it a few fast food restaurants beside it, it's also really easy to find. This Shell station is unlike any other because of the types of people I've seen "hanging" around here. I've seen a group of motorists chilling at Select while I've also seen a pack of drag racers (or at least I assumed they were because of the sports cars they were, well, sporting) meeting up at this particular gas station. I told you. There's just something so landmark-ish and comfortable about this station that it even drives people to hang out here. On the flip side, I love the fact that service here is fast. I mean, have you ever experienced waiting 10 minutes to gas up because there was only one guy manning the station? I have and it's not cool when you're running late for work. Whenever we gas up here, service is always really quick and quite efficient. They even offer to clean the windows of your car, which can come in handy when you've missed clean up that morning. This Shell station also has a service station so you can have your cars and motors checked here when necessary.

PROS: It's nearest to our place and we simply have our gas refilled here most often because of the location. It's easiest to access and sometimes we can't even keep track of how expensive it is compared to the other gas stations in the area; We like that there's a 7-11 near it. (It's actually on the gas station beside it) It's newly-constructed, and we noticed that it tries to have that Family Mart vibe; The staff working here are really nice. CONS: We have to take two U-turns before getting here. #firstworldproblems; The attendants may greet you with a happy face, but sometimes you would wait for a while before getting someone to help you with filling up (Should be do it ourselves?). TL;DR: As noobs who don't know how to compare gas prices yet, we just go to Shell for convenience.

They have a few restaurants here. There is Balai Pandesal and also Dakasi. Also, behind the gas station is a bus stop and jeepney stop for people who are traveling to and from BGC/Makati. The only reason I gave this gas station a 4 Star is because the gas prices are a bit more expensive here. That's understandable because of it's location. So, good luck to you fellow traveller!
