They stayed here when my baby was born prematurely and I had to focus on taking care of her, and they stayed here when my house was up for sale. My dogs have always been well cared for at CCC and that's why I keep bringing them back. The runs are large and outdoors, in semi rural Fall City. The dogs have more room to run around than they would in an indoors boarding facility in Seattle. Heat in the heated runs comes from a light bulb. The dogs have abundant shavings in their run. We moved here without having any family nearby who could watch our dog when we traveled or had a…read moreday or overnight trips. My personal preference is for my dog to not be in a kennel or cage so that was my guideline. The first time we needed to use Happy Hound was on fairly short notice and I appreciated that they were able to accommodate me. HHH requires each dog to come in to visit and be evaluated before coming for a stay. The staff also will give a tour of the facility, which was reassuring to me. The evaluation was not really formal, my sense was just to see if they behave well around other dogs and would do OK at the facility. Note that they don't allow young children to come to the tour or inside the facility - I actually appreciate that even though it required some extra planning. After the first time I dropped off my dog, one of the staff called me one or two days later to let me know that she was doing fine and enjoyed hanging out in the kitchen. It was a very nice gesture for them to call. A different time that we brought our dog, she was very nervous to even get out of the car - the manager was so patient and gentle in helping get her out of the car and then called me a couple of hours later to tell me that she was doing well. I even received a couple of photos emailed to me from her stay - hanging out in the kitchen of course. If my dog was high energy, this place would be heaven for her given all the outdoor activities and opportunity to run, move and play. Since she's older and low energy, the staff tries to have her hang out with some older or calmer dogs. I agree that the price is a bit high, but it's a different pricing model (one price and the dogs have fairly free range) than other places which have a set price and then you add on for outdoor time or playtime per day, etc. I really feel like the owner and people working there care about the dogs and are knowledgeable. I separately asked the owner for advice on a concern with my dog and she replied quickly, remembered my dog and had good input. We'll certainly be back, whenever we need a dog hotel!

The company's website has incorrect daily pricing (website says $35/day whereas they told me when I arrived in person the pricing is $65/day and they didn't share the revised pricing with me even when we corresponded over email until I came for a tour in the middle of a work day). The disregard for my time and the bait-and-switch pricing is nothing short of a scam and is a completely unethical. To make matters worse; we scheduled the tour because we were looking for a boarding place for our dog. I was informed upon arrival that all dogs must have done day camp for 15 days (about $1,000 and three weeks of time) before they can be boarded. Also not disclosed on the website or via multiple email prior to our visit. It's a shame because the facility seems nice and the employees seemed otherwise helpful and professional. Unfortunately I can't convince myself to do business with them given the shady business practice. Over three months to update their website is no longer reasonable. Update: Just noticed their Facebook also isn't updated for services and pricing. Completely dishonest.
