Ripped my antenna off my Tahoe... I've been through a ton of different car washes with this car and this is the only one ever that caused damage. Avoid this place if you want only the dirt taken off your car... read more

25 dollars for the top wash with vacuuming and tires etc.... Not busy it was a Thursday early. Jun 25, 2025 I'm sorry I'm used to full service for that price? Wheels were still dirty ? Is that not part of full service? I paid for full service and the vacuum is self serve I would rather go to coin op car wash on Woodside are you freakin kidding me! Do better PONY EXPRESS read more

Wash and shine.... These guys do excellent work, I am a regular because they are very nice as well!

I live on a dirt road and park my car under a tree. To say it was long overdue for a car wash is an understatement. I remembered hearing about Pony Express car wash and am so glad I did. It was after 5 but they were still there and they did a wonderful, very thorough car wash. They even took the antennae off for me and put it back on. Best car wash any of my vehicles have ever had. Thank you guys. read more

Helpful staff and easy to use car wash, not to mention, convenient. I will be returning in the future.

I have kids in my constantly in my car so my seats have had stains on them for who knows how long. I finally gave in and got them cleaned by pony express and I was amazed! I thought I would never be able to get the stains out of my car. Thank you! I would say room for improvement in the future! I think they forgot to take off some wax on my steering wheel so when I got into the car; my hands were covered with this waxy material read more

THIS IS THE SPOT! Very fast drive thru service with FREE vacuums! Parking after your car wash is wash too! You can pay cash or card! The reason for 4 stars is that the vacuums don't suck as well as other nearby locations but they also don't make you go deaf while you use them! Pick your poison LoL BUT! It's still a quick and easy wash - feel free to swing by! read more

i won't spend my money any place with rude employees . 25.00 is to much to pay for someone to be rude I have been going there for years, not anymore!! Lots of other businesses that will love my hard earned cash.. read more

Took mine and my wife's car in yesterday for a wash. This was first time taking my car there that has aftermarket wheels and noticed during the wash a bunch of clunking and heard rattling while moving which seemed to me weird. I asked while they were drying it if the wheels looked OK as I heard the weird noises and they said yes and thought nothing of it until later that evening after went home got the wife's car washed at which point was dark. Checked today and the wheels were not ok. Went there and they said their wash couldn't have done it cause it's hard plastic and said it is curb rash. Please see photos of of the damage and photos of other side of what it supposed to look like. Every end of every spoke is damaged from when moved through. Would not recommend taking there. All prior washes had been great but won't be going anymore. read more

Don't use a credit card! This is the last place I used my card and the only place where my card was swipped by an employee. Less than 24 hours later I had over $4K in fraud charges. One of those employees put a card reader on that machine. Beware read more

Quick and efficient. Perfect for the price point. Employees work hard to make sure customers are satisfied at the end of the wash read more

$60 detail came out 100x better than most of these Mobil retailers. Took their time and cleaned everything

the two men who worked there would not talk to me when I asked them where we pay. I even at one point hand one of the men put their hand up to me to get me to stop talking. they were able to speak to my husband and answer his question. Horrible service. read more

This car wash is less than a mile from my home. The car wash was $5 when it first opened and stayed that way for a long time. I was going every two weeks. I get it, prices go up. It is now $11 for basic wash. A few times I have been there I have seen a couple workers going around to the side to smoke their pot. Five Star Express Car Wash 10055 Magnolia, Santee is $8 for basic wash plus they give a Mil discount. More stalls to dry your vehicle, compressed air, vacuume and vending machine of car scents. I will drive the extra mile for better service and accessories. read more

Been going here a while now ,the prices have e went up about 5 bucks but that's not my problem they searched the living sh$t out of the side of my Landover then said I can't prove its them and told me to pound sand ,do not take anything there you vare about read more

The worst car wash I've ever gotten. Pricey too. $13 for the basic wash. If it was a decent wash i wouldn't complain. I won't go back. It looks like the equipment that washes your car is old and needs to be replaced. read more

I've been going here off and on for years. Prices have increase but the quality has went down. The wash didn't even get my car clean in several areas, vacuums are just ok not allot of suction to actually vacuum, and they don't provide towels. I really want to give my $ to a local establishment but this place no better than the soapy Joe's down the street. read more

Never go here. I paid for the Supreme and every time they rush it and I had to go home and redo the the job I paid them for. UNSATISFACTORY! read more

Worst "staffed" car wash ever. I asked if they had a full vacuum service and he said I could get the supreme, so I did. But that only meant windows and tires. And my windshield and windows still have dead bugs all over them. A gas station car wash is the same and cheaper. read more

**Edit: Manager contacted me privately through Yelp within 24 hours and apologized for the misunderstanding & offered a free car wash. Excellent Customer Service & reputable business. I updated my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars** Nice staff and okay wash; however today I visited and got the $7 basic wash. He asked if I wanted a receipt and I said no thank you. As I was pulling in, I said that was $7, right? And he said no it was $7.50 because you used a card. I guess I just felt like he should have told me about the extra fee prior to taking my card because I would have given him the $7 in cash instead. So, even though this car wash is the closest to my house, I will now drive into Santee for a $6 wash without additional fees. Such a bummer! read more

My husband just got home from Pony Express & was telling me about the great customer service he received. His car was really DIRTY with dried on tree sap, etc. The employee let him go through the wash a second time for free and even gave him a full sized hand sanitizer & wished him a happy Father's Day! It's unfortunately rare these days to receive that kind of customer service. Plus his car looks great! read more

Had our car detailed. It was a mess and came out looking like new. Upholstery was especially dirty. Not any more!

May I say, this is the most amazing car wash I've ever been too in San Diego! The respect of the employees have me speechless. Any other car wash I go too the workers give me dirty looks & never properly clean my car! Which actually makes me so mad because I pay almost $30 for my car to be cleaned & never have it the way I want! This car wash does wonders & does exactly want I want for low prices & amazing service! Really recommend coming hear! The owner Freddy is very respectful & kind. Always coming here for now on! :) read more

I can't say enough great things this is absolutely the best car wash in all of San Diego they are amazing and so thorough in cleaning the inside of my car I'm am so picky first place ever I can literally drive off without asking anybody to wipe anything down excellent place ps I drive from mission valley to come here so worth it Thank you guys at pony express read more

If you are shipping your car at the vpc this place is where you will want to get that last minute car wash. It does a great job and it is a mile away from the vpc. Tons of long vacuums, helpful staff, always nice. Pretty good wash for me. I'm usually in and out in 15 minutes. Earlier in the day theres maybe 1 or 2 other people there. Lots of trash cans for disposal. Great value read more

after Coming here for years and washing the quality dwindle, my car is rarely dry when coming out of the "dryer", it is also still covered with dirt, I have to spend at least 15 min. Each time drying myself and removing the leftover dirt. today was the last straw, I wasn't told that the vaccums turn off before they close and since it was close to closing g time, I just didn't get to use them. All I was offered was sorry, and then the guy walked away. This is unacceptable and I will no longer be using this car wash. read more

The customer service here is great , they don't push you to upgrade your wash which is super nice . However , when you go here , your car isn't always super clean . Today I went and purchased a car wash , but there were still bugs on my windshield, so when I got home I had to go back over my windshield . They offer free vacuum and have trash bins out which is nice to clean the inside of your car . Also , seems like the wash always knocks my driver side mirror out of place , only car wash place that does that .. not sure why. Overall is not a horrible place , but when you pay $10 dollars it would be nice to have the bugs off or the car to be a little more dry when it's out . read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. It's been years since I was last here and I couldn't remember why... Since I live nearby again, I thought I'd get a quick wash, nothing fancy. I knew I'd have to dry spot some of my vehicle, so that was no issue. However, they use such hard water that there is now way to dry the water before it spots. I even proceeded to re-rinse my vehicle so I could hand dry it and the water/chemical spots remain. Whatever they use on your car - it's junk. Worse yet, one of the rotators scratched my driver side fender. Clearly they need to be replaced or cleaned since they're just pushing dirt straight into the finish. Never again. read more

I wasn't happy with my services! Detailed instructions were to get the tree pollen off and it wasn't done at all. When I complained I got...excused and ignored. Not only that but I got home and the trunk wasn't even vacuumed at all! I ended doing it myself! Not worth the fifty dollar services I was assured! I definitely won't be going back! read more

I love going to this place! I'm really paranoid about who touches my car because of the particular paint I have on it but Valente the manager always makes sure the job gets done and done right.
