I have kids in my constantly in my car so my seats have had stains on them for who knows how long. I finally gave in and got them cleaned by pony express and I was amazed! Took mine and my wife's car in yesterday for a wash. This was first time taking my car there that has aftermarket wheels and noticed during the wash a bunch of clunking and heard rattling while moving which seemed to me weird. I asked while they were drying it if the wheels looked OK as I heard the weird noises and they said yes and thought nothing of it until later that evening after went home got the wife's car washed at which point was dark. Checked today and the wheels were not ok. Went there and they said their wash couldn't have done it cause it's hard plastic and said it is curb rash. Please see photos of of the damage and photos of other side of what it supposed to look like. Every end of every spoke is damaged from when moved through. Would not recommend taking there. All prior washes had been great but won't be going anymore. read more

This car wash is less than a mile from my home. The car wash was $5 when it first opened and stayed that way for a long time. I was going every two weeks. I get it, prices go up. It is now $11 for basic wash. A few times I have been there I have seen a couple workers going around to the side to smoke their pot. Five Star Express Car Wash 10055 Magnolia, Santee is $8 for basic wash plus they give a Mil discount. More stalls to dry your vehicle, compressed air, vacuume and vending machine of car scents. I've been going here off and on for years. Prices have increase but the quality has went down. The wash didn't even get my car clean in several areas, vacuums are just ok not allot of suction to actually vacuum, and they don't provide towels. I really want to give my $ to a local establishment but this place no better than the soapy Joe's down the street. read more

My husband just got home from Pony Express & was telling me about the great customer service he received. His car was really DIRTY with dried on tree sap, etc. The employee let him go through the wash a second time for free and even gave him a full sized hand sanitizer & wished him a happy Father's Day! Worst "staffed" car wash ever. I asked if they had a full vacuum service and he said I could get the supreme, so I did. But that only meant windows and tires. And my windshield and windows still have dead bugs all over them. A gas station car wash is the same and cheaper. read more

I updated my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars** Nice staff and okay wash; however today I visited and got the $7 basic wash. He asked if I wanted a receipt and I said no thank you. As I was pulling in, I said that was $7, right? And he said no it was $7.50 because you used a card. I guess I just felt like he should have told me about the extra fee prior to taking my card because I would have given him the $7 in cash instead. So, even though this car wash is the closest to my house, I will now drive into Santee for a $6 wash without additional fees. Such a bummer! read more

May I say, this is the most amazing car wash I've ever been too in San Diego! The respect of the employees have me speechless. Any other car wash I go too the workers give me dirty looks & never properly clean my car! Which actually makes me so mad because I pay almost $30 for my car to be cleaned & never have it the way I want! Tons of long vacuums, helpful staff, always nice. Pretty good wash for me. I'm usually in and out in 15 minutes. Earlier in the day theres maybe 1 or 2 other people there. Lots of trash cans for disposal. Great value read more

If you are shipping your car at the vpc this place is where you will want to get that last minute car wash. It does a great job and it is a mile away from the vpc. You can pay extra to have more details for your car wash but if you are in a crunch for time you can run it through and the vacuum :-) read more

after Coming here for years and washing the quality dwindle, my car is rarely dry when coming out of the "dryer", it is also still covered with dirt, I have to spend at least 15 min. Each time drying myself and removing the leftover dirt. today was the last straw, I wasn't told that the vaccums turn off before they close and since it was close to closing g time, I just didn't get to use them. All I was offered was sorry, and then the guy walked away. This is unacceptable and I will no longer be using this car wash. read more

The customer service here is great , they don't push you to upgrade your wash which is super nice . However , when you go here , your car isn't always super clean . Today I went and purchased a car wash , but there were still bugs on my windshield, so when I got home I had to go back over my windshield . They offer free vacuum and have trash bins out which is nice to clean the inside of your car . Also , seems like the wash always knocks my driver side mirror out of place , only car wash place that does that .. not sure why. Overall is not a horrible place , but when you pay $10 dollars it would be nice to have the bugs off or the car to be a little more dry when it's out . read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. It's been years since I was last here and I couldn't remember why... Since I live nearby again, I thought I'd get a quick wash, nothing fancy. I knew I'd have to dry spot some of my vehicle, so that was no issue. However, they use such hard water that there is now way to dry the water before it spots. I even proceeded to re-rinse my vehicle so I could hand dry it and the water/chemical spots remain. Whatever they use on your car - it's junk. Worse yet, one of the rotators scratched my driver side fender. Clearly they need to be replaced or cleaned since they're just pushing dirt straight into the finish. Never again. read more

I wasn't happy with my services! Detailed instructions were to get the tree pollen off and it wasn't done at all. When I complained I got...excused and ignored. Today I took my truck into be washed. It has been a bit of time since my last wash due to Covid19. I got the 12.00 wash. It wasn't a clean I would have like it to be. I went and talk to the attendant about the quality of the wash job. With out hesitation he told me to pull my truck back around and rewatched it. Now it looks great. If I could give them none I would. I got a premium wash and had to dry it myself. And a day later finding a major scratch on my brand new set of wheels. The tracks for assisting your car through the wash have no plastiic bumpers.... Part 2 ; when you do check your hd cameras im sure you can see you're understaffed. The guy apologized briefly but that doesn't change the fact of having to do labor for a premium wash. Used to be courteous and a good wash. But yesterday the Polynesian guys hits on my wife and tries really hard to upsale her to the 40 dollar wash. Then after my wife pulls around to have the car dried. No one came. One guy came and put shine on three tires. And I had to tell him he missed a tire. But he never helped to dry the car. Neither did the Polynesian guy with the ponytail. He just watched my wife dry the car herself while he was drooling all over himself. I had to take the towel from my wife and dry the car myself.
