The reason I gave this 5 stars is based on the " vibe " of the place. Its an old facility. Built in the late '70's. But, the staff are the key. Great location , beside the Hospital, and close to downtown. I ride my bike, so not too sure how the parking situation is. My Dad moved in last week from Berwick on the Park. They offer a higher level of care. ( at half the cost ) . I was paying $ 6,000. a month at Berwick, now the montly cost is $ 3200. But, the major difference is of course, public vs. private . My Dad's room is small, and quite plain, but clean and comfortable. The Dining Room is not fancy, but very functional. The food is not gourmet, but looks and smells delicious. ( its hospital style food ) . I have found the staff to be very kind, caring, and competent- which is what REALLY matters the most in my opinion. Glad to have this opportunity and facility close to my home. We don't know how lucky we are to be Canadians. read more
