For serving hundreds at a time, the food is great. But don't miss the Hume Burger at the Snack Shack and save room for a milk shake!

Sakura Buffet is only 1 mile away, right across the freeway at corner of Prosperity Lane and Cherry Street, next to the Vallarta Mexican Supermarket. I think it is really legit for an AYCE asian buffet in the Central Valley. The ladies who work there are friendly and the service is tip worthy. My wife noticed that most of the customers were Asians. That's very reassuring and the quality of the food was really good at the price point. For families with little kids, they have American entrees like pizza and chicken strips. We would definitely return to this place on our next stop going to or from LA.

Walking in the decor is really nice and it's extremely clean and organized here. It was a little after the lunch rush so there wasn't too many people. All the food is displayed nicely and it appeared to be fresh. I usually go for the sushi and they had quite the variety and the taste and quality was decent. They have plenty of Chinese style dishes, so I sampled some appetizers like egg rolls and tried some stirfry. I also tried the crab legs and crawfish and they were not bad. I'd say for the price, Sakura will do if you're hungry and craving a Chinese style buffet. It may not knock your socks off but it will fulfill the craving.

I went on a Sunday around 11/noon, I thought I beat the church crowd or got in after they left, but…read morethe place was PACKED. There was only about a ten minute wait though. When I left around 1:55pm, the line was out into the parking lot. $30 adult, $2 fountain drink, $36.45 with tax. I was greeted and sat at my table and my drink was brought out quickly. The tables, silverware, and plates were clean. There is hand sanitizer at the entrance. Next time I'll bring gloves though. It's busy, but not too disorganized, it seems people were going the opposite direction of most buffets, so at times, I couldn't tell if I was cutting in line or not. Everytime I went to get more food, my previous plate was removed and any spills cleaned. Even though there are a ton of people eating and walking around, it's surprisingly not that loud. The food: Grilled Brisket - not tender tastes like a chuck roast (pot roast) Cajun mussels- sweet and spicy Stuffed mushroom-breadcrumbs, flavorful, juicy, sweet earthy Butterflied fried shrimp- crispy and cooked well Hofun - flat noodles, semisweet, al dente, has onions Baby bok choy- tender and crisp, bright and lightly seasoned Pot Roast- savory, semisweet, tender. Better than the brisket (blasphemy) BBQ pork rib- sweet bbq sauce/glaze, kinda dry, but decent Green beans- steamed and sauteed, lightly salted and garlic, cooked well Salmon nigiri- delicate flavor with great rice Shrimp nigiri- clean flavor, mildly sweet shrimp Cheese mussels- sweet, cheesy, tender, plump Tuna Sashimi- firm, tender, not fishy, slightly oceany, clean flavor Grilled steak- nice char, but well done, so chewy and tough Sausage- bright and savory flavor. Kinda tastes like a breakfast sausage. Skin has a good snap to it Pot sticker- ground chicken? golden crust with perfect amount of filling, tender and crisp veggies Grilled calamari- firm and tender, nice char

I have never been to Golden Corral and it was selected by my boyfriend who loves GC for quantity reasons. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Sherrie was our server. Sherrie walks around with a huge friendly smile, is quick to offer extra likes cinnamon flavoring for coffee, check if we needed anything we couldn't locate, and pick up and bus all the tables. We felt beyond welcomed and it was a homey feeling, like we were at a friend's house! I am a huge fan of menudo. I decided to try the menudo was actually shocked. Don't get me wrong it isn't completely like an abuelita was in the kitchen making it, however it was edible. It had a clean smell and not a barnyard smell. This is an accomplishment that surpasses most "authentic" Mexican restaurant, and I experienced it at a buffet. The only thing missing for me was tortillas and fresh cilantro and onion.. Butttt we don't complain over here .. so I'd rather not have cilantro and onion over tasting cow ass.. I walked over to check out desserts and happened to catch Alicia F doing temperature checks. This alone would have sent me over the roof happy. Food quality and cleanliness coupled with customer service bring me back to places that have mediocre food time and time again! Will I return: QUITE POSSIBLY... I walked in noticing the support of sending military kids to camp!! This is big for me having so many friends and family who have served our country and the state of affairs during this time. This isn't a political post, this is only to mention supporting children of those who support our country with their lives!

They fit the bill but it was extremely crowded, a lot of the food was precooked, packaged and fried as needed. It was hard to get to the drink station because of the number of kids. I had mashed potatoes and gravy, pot roast, Mac and cheese, and baked beans. All were delicious. The variety of food made it hard to pick, I knew I would be full. I did have room for a half and half ice cream cone. I probably won't go back just because of the crowd and no option to only buy a one trip salad bar. The ad on the website, said they over a menu offer for single plate offerings, but that is not true, it's $27.00 + drink

We sat in the enclosed patio and it was a little warm, but away from the noisy dining room. Not to mention a build your teppanyaki area! Everything here is made fresh, including the sushi, which was one of my favorite items. There's literally four sushi chefs making it constantly so as soon as the plates are empty, they can be refilled. That's basically the same strategy for all of the stations here. As soon as anything started to run out, the staff was refiling it. My kids loved it with my son trying his first raw oyster... he's not a fan, LOL. I suggest coming for lunch, you'll be saving about $10 and get primarily the same meal.

We got a hot pot with two different broths and proceded to order some meats and pick out some veggies from the buffet area. The server was delightful. Overall, the hot pot was good. When we moved onto the other regular buffet dishes, things took a downward turn. I couldn't find anything that was good, other than the sushi. Every hot dish we tried was disappointing.
