He was brought there on a stretcher, but after two weeks of physical therapy, he was up and running again (ok, maybe not running, but he was walking again). I was impressed with the progress the staff made with my father's rehabilitation. My interactions with the staff were positive and informative. My father actually enjoyed his stay here and liked the staff. Overall, it was a positive experience.

When I arrived to do so at the appointment time the therapist suddenly had a family emergency and they canceled it. They also sent paperwork to his insurance saying he wasn't participating. They stole items out of his room and left him there for hours without checking on him. When he was sent to Griffin Hospital he was dehydrated and everything was shutting down and I lost my Dad 3/29/24. I've been getting a bill ever since he passed away for resident amount and he wasn't one. If I had to do all over again I would of never sent him there.

Mom had lived in the house my dad built for her for over 70 years, so we were a bit anxious about her transition to a new "home". She loved it from day one. She was introduced to other residents who quickly became her friends. They enjoyed all their meals together. She participated in the activities, of which there were plenty. Ice cream socials, Wii Bowling, scenic rides, and Family Feud, just to name a few. Her favorite was the morning exercises. In January, Mom turned 100. We were able to have access to one of the rooms to have a family birthday party for her. Then, when the facility had their monthly birthday celebration, the staff went out of their way to focus on Mom. Cake, decorations, entertainment and even a proclamation from the Mayor of Milford. I can't say enough good things about the staff. Everyone of them did their best to be sure Mom was comfortable and happy. Mom recently passed, but before she did, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was there to make it a beautiful transition. Staff and residents were so attentive, caring and loving up until the very end and after. I will miss the friends I made there. I highly recommend Carriage Green for you or your loved one

Of course, this is always a difficult decision for the family, but, Ridgefield Station has made this process and my father's transition as easy as possible. The staff provides excellent care and the perfect balance of allowing resident independence, while still providing proper oversight. All of the staff that deals with my father (and by extension, the family) has been very kind and caring. While there are many factors that go into making a decision of this magnitude, I would say that for the items Ridgefield Station controls, they do an outstanding execution of a tough job.

The team is caring, competent, and go above and beyond in their kindness to this population. I "pop in" often, always seeing residents engaged in activities, or relaxing in front the of fireplace (electric, of course), or sitting together in the dining room. The Compass Care facility is bright, modern, beautifully furnished, and full of natural light. Unlike others I toured, there no dark hallways or corners with residents slumped on sofas and chairs with no supervision. I cannot imagine a better place for these very special loved ones. I am an extremely demanding person, especially when it come to family, aren't we all, and Ridgefield Station is tops in my book.

When my friend was visited at home by members of Regional's staff, they saw her level of physical distress and the stress being placed on her mother as sole caretaker and immediately recommended that she be transferred to the Center. Our hearts dropped when we learned that she would be entering Hospice - the word has a frightening undertone - yet what we found when we arrived was quite the opposite - it was pure, beautiful relief. Every aspect of the Center was designed to enrich her final days, from her beautiful room and the peaceful shared spaces to the delicious meals prepared by the kindest and most accommodating kitchen crew to the range of services lovingly provided by a cast of volunteers (music, Reiki and a even spa tub). The Center's compassionate medical staff tended to her every need, keeping her safe and comfortable and in turn, freeing her loved ones to enjoy and cherish time with her. They listened to and respected her wishes and exhibited the flexibility and understanding that enabled my friend to walk toward death in her way and on her terms. The nurses, social workers, administrators, spiritual and support staff (I hope I didn't leave anyone out) - they became family, as vested in creating a magical transition for my friend as those that have loved her for a lifetime. My heart fills with appreciation and gratitude when I think of the people and place that so expertly and tenderly embraced us all throughout this very difficult time.
