I have been coming here since 2013. I can't believe it's been 12 years. This is a mom and pops business that has changed so much throughout the years. I love how they are always making things better when I visit. Recently they changed their mural! My boyfriend is allergic to dairy and we have gone to a few pizza places and asked if they could use our dairy-free cheese, which many said no. The owner and chef accepted to help us and was so kind!!! He was smiling when he gave us the pizza. The food is always hot, with plenty ingredients, flavorful, and OF COURSE, incredibly delicious. The owner told me he has been making pizzas for over 20 years. This place has been my happy place for a long time. I moved farther up north and yes, other pizza places are great too, but this one has a special place in my heart. THEY HAVE SO MANY OPTIONS! And always cater to my needs. Also, what keeps me coming back is that they are an authentic South Florida locals and that their portions are big (so I always have extra for breakfast if you know what I mean). Pomodoro's Pizza is a hidden gem for sure! You know how sometimes when you enter a restaurant, there's an energy in the air? There's something clean and peaceful in their vibes. It almost feels like you're coming back to family read more

The pizza is SO good! Stopped in randomly, and so so happy we did. Had slices of pepperoni & margarita pizza, absolutely delicious. We like a thinner crust, we asked for our slices to be cooked "well done" and crispy which they cooked it perfectly. Great pepperoni, great cheese, great sauce. Staff are super friendly, the restaurant itself is clean, very warm and welcoming place. Don't forget to grab some of their home baked chocolate chip cookies before leaving. Thanks so much! We'll be back with friends for sure! read more

Absolutely amazing food!!!!! We stop in to get a quick bite the other day and we are so glad we did. We ordered chicken wings and pizza slices. The chicken wings were one of the best chicken wings we've had. The pizza we give it a 9 of 10 it was that good. Just wish it was a little bit crunchier. But wow we have officially found our new pizza place. And it's not too far from our home. We are actually heading over there again that's how good this place is! read more

I've come here twice for pick up and the wait is much longer than conveyed on the phone. Not only that, the same front guy seems personally inconvenienced by the order. Very unfriendly service from a place that would rely on walk in traffic. read more

The service was good and the lady was nice. I got a slice of cheese pizza with pineapple and rolls with a bottle of water. There is a price difference when you pay with cash vs card. My friends also ordered salads (not pictured) but they all looked fresh and delicious. read more

Small place in a strip mall- don't let that discourage you from trying it. The special was a slice (huge) of pizza with 1 topping, a side salad (super fresh and good dressing choices) or bread and a can of soda. It was the perfect amount of food for an early dinner. We took the soda home and ordered a Stella on tap. You order at the counter and they bring the food out. The woman working was so nice and friendly. read more

Check your receipts people I was charged a 96 cents fee for using card even when I paid cash, the girl at the counter was nice about it and refunded me but had I not looked I wouldn't have noticed and let's be honest who is really going to drive back for $1 so imagine if they get away with this 50 times a day . Just seemed a bit shady . The empanadas were actually better than the pizza read more

Let me start off by saying, I order from here a 16" pie, 4 empanadas 2 cheese and 2 meat, and 2 (2) litter sodas one sprite and 1 coke. When I receive my order everything was wrong. I received 4 cheese empanadas instead of 2 and 2, the drinks I received 1 (2) liter sprite and 3 additional 20 oz sprites instead of 1 sprite and 1 coke. The pie dough was undercooked. No one call me to tell me or confirm my order. Also it took over 1 hour to deliver it. Uber driver was nice though. Very very disappointed about the order. Honestly I looking forward to enjoy and great tasting pie and that went south sooo fast. I'm not sure if I will buy ever buy from here but if you do I hope your order is correct and satisfying. read more

I'm in the Miami area again for work & thought I'd go for pizza. Pomodoro's says it's NYC style. The ordering of the pizza was kind of bizarre. The menu is full of pages of pricey gourmet pizzas. I asked the waitress if they had plain cheese. She said they do, but those kind of pizzas are not on the menu. I laughed. It was bizarre because by the cash register were slices of cheese pizza under glass waiting for people wanting to get them by the slice. Anyway, the pizza was only so so. The sauce was tomatoey, but lacking any spice. There was a generous amount of mozzarella cheese on it. The dough & crust were the biggest disappointment. Very doughy & tasted like the dough & crust from a grocery store pizza. It wasn't bad, but nothing spectacular. read more

You're probably reading this because you are craving pizza. Go ahead, go for it. I order every other weekend and Pomodoro always comes through, I always receive my order warm, and well made. Ordered in from DoorDash hands-down the worst meal I have ever had pizza came with absolutely no sauce was supposed to be a four cheese pizza and it was just drenched in ricotta The dough couldn't even hold the amount of ricotta that was on it. to follow it up my chicken wings were straight out of a microwave I'm sorry I usually don't complain because I am a restaurant owner myself but this is disgusting especially at a price point of almost $50 for a pizza and some wings never again! My trash can ate it because my family couldn't. I know when today's times running a restaurant is not easy but you have to take a little bit more pride in your product. read more

Got a slice of cheese pizza and was surprised how amazing it was! Small place with very nice service.

WOW!!!! This is the BEST Italian food I have ever had. We visited Sunny Isles from Atlanta and came to Pomodori's twice. It's a comfortable mom & pop place. They make everything from scratch, so it took a while, but I guarantee it is worth the wait! I wish I could take this place back to GA with me. We had chicken parm, lasagna, chicken alfredo, calzone and cheese sticks and highly recommend everything. GET THE GARLIC KNOTS. read more

This is like my comfort zone for pizza. I have been coming to this spot for a while now and felt the need to leave a review just now. The young girl at the counter is always friendly and smiling and takes your order quickly. tried a medium cheese pizza and i what I love about their pizza is that their sauce is a little on the sweeter end and for me that's perfect. We had some French fries and a capreze salad while waiting for our pizza. For dessert we ordered the flan. Good food always consistent. read more

I love their selection of pizza and food. The staff is super friendly and they are fast at delivering. Great pizza!!

I think it is absolutely ridiculous how long my husband and I have been looking for a good pizza spot to order from when the perfect location has been right around the corner this whole time! We tried all the other pizza locations in Aventura/North Miami/Hallandale and none of them have been worth the hassle of even driving to. Hubs is from NJ so you can imagine the high standards he holds for pizza - and while our SoFlo pizza could not possibly compare to northern pizza, the pizza from Pomodor's holds it's own spot among the favorites and we are glad to know we need not look far for pizza+wine nights. read more

Everything was delicious. Pizza, pasta, appetizer, salad and bread! Great prices and outstanding customer service!

Meh. The pizza is thin and crispy, which I love, but it is pretty flavorless. I'm not sure how a pizza can be flavorless, but Pomodoro did it! I've been there several times now, and I just can't get over the lack of flavor. I will say, though, that I ordered a slice of cheesecake once, and it was pretty good. But the pizza... meh. read more

I recently moved from NYC and this pizza unfortunately had zero flavor. I have never heard of putting eggs in a Greek salad plus you don't put white onions in it its supposed to be red onions. Needless to say the people working there were very pleasant but I assure you I will never go back there again. To bad so far I'm 0-2 on finding good pizza in Florida. read more

These guys know how to make pizza had the meat lovers and it was awesome. Will definitely stop again when we are in town.

I decided to order thru uber eats. The food arrived hot and fresh. However, the food was a huge disappointment. We orderd fettuccine alfredo which looked great, but had no flavor. I also ordered wings ( kind of hard to screw up), and a pizza with sausage and pepperoni. I ate 2 slices and threw the rest out. This does not taste like NY style pizza or remotely anything close to it. The ingredients tasted cheap and the sauce tasted like tomatoe paste. It was also too sweet. I could tell as soon as I oped the box I was going to be disappointed. Great pizza aways has a orange glow when the cheese melts into the sauce. The crust was mushy, and I believe another person made the same comment. The garlic rolls were good though. You can read my other pizza reviews to get an idea of where im coming from. Try evios pizza 10x better and in the area. Trust me... read more

First time dining in. I usually place an order for delivery and have always been impressed with the food quality and service. The server disappeared and we weren't able to request the check. Otherwise I really like this place. read more

Pomodoro's is your typical American Italian restaurant. This establishment sEEmed like more of a takeout restaurant, as it was smaLL and empty. The chicken parmasean hit the spot, but next time I will definitely paSS on the fries. I gueSS you dont get fries at an Italian restaurant so that was probably my fault lol. Wake up! Also they have these adorable baby cOOkies caLLed COOkie CriTTers. They lOOked scrumptous, but opted to just take a pic of them. So let me know how they are :) read more

Got the meat lovers pizza and was delicious. Crust was nice, thin, and crispy on outside. Plenty of sauce and toppings

I ordered the meat lover pizza and was disappointed. It was supposed to have tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, bacon, sausage, meatballs, ground beef and pepperoni. It was missing a couple of the meats. At least from what I could see, it was missing bacon and meatballs. It may have also been missing ground beef as well. This was a delivery. I don't appreciate not being told prior to the delivery of the missing toppings. At the very least, I should have received a discount. All I was given was a note on the order that the chef made changes. Missing toppings aside, I thought if there was going to be an issue with the pizza, it would be salty. Good news - it wasn't salty. Bad news - it had no flavor! How is that possible??? There were lots of toppings (sliced thin, if you like that). Kudos to them, but everything was bland. I forgot to take a pic, but it wouldn't have mattered. The look of the pizza is misleading. I lived in New York for years and other than the size of the pizza (I got the 16 inch) and thinness of the crust, it was surely no N.Y. pizza. The sauce was almost not enough and on the sweeter side, the toppings (as I stated before) were sliced thin, and the crust was thin, but not cracker thin. I've had better and am also disappointed in how they chose to handle their topping shortage. I was never given an opportunity to change my order. Horrible customer service, which will ensure me never ordering from them again. read more
