In late September I received my first contact from the Polston Tax office this year. In Summer (July/August) 2021 I had contracted to 1- negotiate back tax amount with IRS and 2- file my 2020 taxes. So when I received said call in September my thought (and hope) was that headway had finally been made.
I asked questions regarding the status of stated, paid for services, and was told my the girl that she'd call me back. When she did, she questioned who I gave previous documents to. Her tone was accusatory like I had done something wrong and frankly I became very annoyed and snappy, "Do you remember everyone you handed something to over a year ago? No? I didn't think so". Based off her questioning it became very apparent that neither items had been addressed. After over a year. I'm informed to pick up documents to fill out (again) and that we will have a conference appointment on Oct 26. This appointment was set in my phone to remind me but I had other "reminders" coming.
2 days before said appointment my mother ends up in the hospital and while I'm there my phone service is very, very, very limited. On Oct 26, around 1am when leaving to go home for the night, I find 2 of 3 (the third I'll find later) points of communication reminding me of my appointment: a text and a voicemail. So the next morning (after a nap) instead of being at my mother's emergency liver biopsy I'm tiredly sitting in my dining room, with my new Polston Tax paperwork in hand, and NOBODY called for my phone appointment. I'm angry, I call main number and get told sometimes appointments can run over but your person should call you... Ok. Well at the end of business that day I opened my email to find the third point of contact (which I hadn't seen earlier cause I'm busy dealing with a hospital situation) and I respond to said email that "I'm done with you people".
You would think that would warrant a response? It doesn't. Not a peep from who I've just emailed.
The next correspondence I get is from the accounting department informing me that the payments they've recently been trying to draft from my checking account is past due. Past Due!?!?! I paid for services in 2021 and these last few months they've been trying to take money again?! The only reason this didn't go thru was because I changed my bank account!! So I email again. Why do I email? Because getting the right person on the phone is always a hassle. At least with email I have a paper trail. So yeah, I email again (Friday, Nov 4) that "I don't owe anything, service were paid for a year ago and not done. I'm done with you people. I want my money back and I want my tax documents back". Accountant person responded with "somebody would be contacting you (me) by end of business that day" and nothing. Should I be shocked? Well I'm not. I waited thru end of business Monday(Nov 7), you know to give benefit of the doubt even though they haven't earned it, and again no call. So I email the same girl again at the end of business on Monday stating that "I want a call by end of business, Tuesday (November 8) about when I can pick up documents and how I get my money back or else I'm filing complaints and blasting you on social media."
The response I got Tuesday was not a call, not an apology, it was emails enrolling me into a client portal??? I've been a client for over 3 years and NOW you want to enroll me into a system and upload documents?! Now? So I email again that "I want my money and my documents."
Here's 1 of many reviews that I'll be placing tonight as I'm sitting in the hospital again with my sick, dying mother. The one who was having an emergency liver biopsy while you all were being super professional and NOT keeping your appointments. read more
